Question Featherweights who are around 5' 6"-5' 7"!

What is your ultimate goal weight and why? I'm wondering what I want mine to be, right now I just weighed in at pre pregnancy weight of 140 pounds, my ultimate goal weight as of NOW is back to my pre wedding weight of 130 pounds. I'm around 5' 7", thinking about possibly going down to 125.

I am 5'6" and 2/3rds if you want to get technically LOL...so almost 5'7"

Pre-preg, my weight ranged from 125-128lbs. I gained 37lbs while pregnant and am currently 133lbs.

My original goal was 125lbs but I was losing weight so slowly that I revised my goal to be 128. So for now I am basically trying to get in the 120's at all...

It really depends on your frame though. I have VERY skinny arms and legs and only hold weight in my middle. I have a friend who is 160lbs and 5'3" and her and I have the SAME waist measurements. I have a very unflattering muffin top right now.

Women who are curvier at this height could look very slim with a higher weight...but I don't look good right now at this weight.

I totally agree with Pepino, it really depends on your frame. My goal weight is 125 and I am 5'6 1/2". I have lots of friends though who are my height and even shorter than me who can carry the weight much differently on their body at the same weight or even a greater weight!

Your goal weight should be something that you are comfortable in. Congratulations on getting to where you are now!!!!

I just moved over to the featherweights board recently, but I'm 5' 7" and my goal weight is 128. I am getting married next year, though, so if at all possible to be closer to 125 I'd like that, but maybe maintain around 128-130. I guess I will see when I get there. I'm an hourglass shape and size 8's are a bit loose on me now, but my thighs and arms are not where I'd like them to be at all.

I'm 5'6" and I don't plan on going below 140lbs. Right now I'm 157lbs and am pretty happy with where I'm at but would like just to lose a bit more. I wear a 4, sometimes 6 pants and small shirts (well, when I buy shirts in regular stores, I know buy shirts at stores that cater to larger busts). However, I have a large frame and am pretty curvy and muscular (do heavy lifting) so those all contribute to choosing my goal weight.

I was 140lbs back in high school and was really happy there. I know I want to hit a healthy BMI and maybe get a little padding in between but I'm still not 100% sure if I'll decide to go all the way 140lbs being that I'm pretty happy with my body, shape.

Oh, and if you want a comparison I have a lot of pictures of myself on my blog linked in my signature.

I'm 5'6. My original goal weight was 125. I'm at 120 now, but it might be a little thin. I'm worried about maintenance, so I'm going to see if I can maintain 120 for a while and if I can, I may bump up to 125 and then maintain.

I used to have an "ideal" weight of 115-118, which is completely unattainable for me now. I am very small-framed and tend to have a high body-fat percentage, which is why I looked great weighing that little.

Once I hit my mid-30s, I started gaining weight and the lowest I have gotten since then is 129 (but not for long). I maintained 135 for most of last year but got sloppy and now am solidly in the 140s again.

So I guess I have two goals.
1: Get below 140 and stay there. Given my body type, more than 140 is too much
2: Work on body composition/fitness level and healthy diet, which will probably put me at a weight of 130-135, but I have learned to not pick a specific number.

I would love to be less than 130 again but I think it is going to happen. I can keep trying though

I have an average frame at that height and I am shooting to stay between 137 and 140. Originally my goal was to get to single digit clothing but that goal has been achieved and I am not looking to fit into smaller pants. I basically would like to drop a few more % body fat and see more noticeable abs.

I have an average frame, I guess. My waist looks okay at 28 1/2" yet my upper arms are big proportionately (13") and I think my thighs are also (22 3/4"). I thought I would look great by 143 but I sure don't think so yet. I have a recent pic (last Saturday) if you want. I'm also 51, I don't know if I'm legitimately able to use the age card but I'm gonna My pre-wedding weight was 135 but I was also 19 then, lol.

I'm a little shorter that you ladies, I sometimes measure in at 5'6'' I think I just have bad posture My ideal weight would be 120 - 125 but I've never gotten below 130 so I'm not sure if thats actually going to happen but we'll see. Boy some of you are so tiny!

This is a good example! I weight more than 10lbs less than you currently but my waist measurement is in the 30's. So even though we are the same height and I weigh less...you've got a nicer shape than me (and prob look a lot better in clothes than me!!!!)

I'm currently at 136 pounds and my waist size is at 31" (which I'm looking to make SHRINK!) I think my goal weight for now will be 130, and if I want to lose more once I get to that point, I will! Just depends on how comfortable I feel at that weight... My wedding weight was 130 pounds and I was pretty tiny then already, I have extremely skinny legs and arms, I too carry most of it in my butt, upper thighs, and midsection. I hate it!

I'm 5'6 and feel pretty great at 130. I'd say my frame is average.

awww, that's nice of you but you see I didn't list my bust size which is like non-existant, lol. But it does show how interesting that we can be 'similar' yet so different! I do exercise with light weights consistently so I know that is helpful.

Yes, there are many tiny chicks here!! congrats to you who have done so well
