Hey All! I was too scared to weigh myself today after all the damage I did this weekend! Why do we do this to ourselves!? I baked desserts for the game and ate about a 1lb of cookie dough and then 10 cookies/bars on top of that. I feel awful this morning and slept terrible because I had anxiety about my weight!

I pigged out last night too, but it was mostly on fatty stuff vs. sugars. Time to get back to my routine now so it won't stick!! :carrot: |

I just don't understand. Still no loss. This has never happened ladies. I can't think of ANYTHING that is causing this. What's going on with my body??
Sorry for no personals tonight. Have a lot of studying, not feeling up to it and my attitude is just blah because of the lack of loss on the scale or mirror :/ Hope everyone has a great week! |
Hi! I've been on 3fc off and on in the past, but not for a while. I hope it's okay if I jump in! I'm fighting to get back down to where I was before I went home for the winter holidays. And to get back into shape. I'm not much heavier than I was this time a couple of months ago, but I have completely lost all muscle tone. Hoping to get back on track with 3fc.
LoveSweetsCA, I know it's frustrating when you go off track, but like lkander2 said, it's in the past now, and it was only one day. I'm sure you'll bounce back. It's definitely not worth anxiety! (That being said, I've only just recently stopped having nightmares that I eat my weight in candy and wake up forty pounds ago, so I understand the feeling.) I'm sure that you'll do great this week. Dianne, this is just a thought (and it might be kind of out there), but could your weight stall have anything to do with the weather? It gets really cold where I live, so cold that it affects caloric needs, which completely screws with the metabolism. I've found that I pretty consistently have to add in a couple hundred calories each day to make up for the extra energy my body burns trying to stay warm. Does it get particularly cold where you're at? Philana, I noticed that you said you keep running even in the snow! How do you motivate yourself to do that?? I love running (or at least, I loved it back when I was in shape), and I regularly ran 10k back in the summer months, but I just cannot force myself to go out in the winter weather. Any secrets to share? I hope that everyone's having a good week so far! |
mrmoustache: thank you! I am glad others see the difference :D.
Turbo: sorry to hear about the waterretention, but I wish I lived in the states and got to experience sueprbowl! Haha. Must be SO crazy. moviegrrl: thank you, it does help. I have been running a lot without rest because I am so excited and added 2 miles in a week. Did not realise if I felt fine the day after a run, I could still be building up towards an issue. Hope you can run like you want to soon! LoveSweetCA: OMG, haha.. the cookie dough. That's one of the things I LOVED when I was in the States, that you can buy just a pack of frozen cookie dough. We don't have that here. Whcih is for the better. Anyhow, It's a new day! PetitPowerhouse: That is awesome to hear. Did you have to look super skinny on the top for your legs to finally shrink? Because I do worry about that. Nienna: Welcome back! I only recently started running for more than a mile (a bit over a week ago) and I LOVE it so much, and then it started snowing... I just did not want to not go. And it's even more awesome in the snow. You have to be careful, but the view is so great. And there's sunshine, that's a thing we don't have a lot in this always cloudy and rainy country. I think I am gonna have issues motivating myself to go in the rain. Anything else the weathergods throw at me is gonna be fine, but rain.. uck. -- Well, I was having issues staying within my calories ever since I started running more than a mile last week. So yesterday I took a protein shake after my run (3.5mile!!! yay!) and I felt much better. And yet at 9pm I still started eating stuffs I did not need. Then I woke up to TOM this am. So.. I am gonna go for that as explanation. Oh, and I am gonna figure out how to set MFP to lbs instead of kg. It tells me everytime I end my log "you will weigh 58kg in 5 weeks" and that's "only" 3.5kg loss. Which doesn't feel nearly as much as 9lbs. It drives me nuts. lol. |
philana : for the superbowl thingy, I'm not even american, but I love football and I like pretty much every sport where I can scream to the top of my lungs to cheer for a team LOL
Dianne : Hang in there  a loss will come *** I SUCK! I had a '' eat too much, too salty'' weekend and last night I just did sabotage myself by jumping in the tostitos bad (leftover from sunday. I'm full of salt and this morning I was up to 150.4! I am freaking out, and I know it's ALL my fault and lack of focus :( I'm not feeling like updating my ticker, I feel like such a failure! I'll try to have a good week and only WI officially next monday. Seeing those numbers on the scale is so depressing... |
Hey ladies. I've been MIA, eating lots of food and gaining. Blech! Last week was not pretty. Superbowl Sunday was ESPECIALLY bad! Phew! But yesterday was maintenance calories and lots of water, and I woke up today looking in the mirror and thinking that wow, even though I'm bloated from salt and water, I still look pretty freakin' good.
I am somehow beginning to forgive myself for not having a perfect figure -- and, more importantly, I'm starting to realize that I like the way I look, even the little swells and creases and all that. I don't have many days of self love quite like this, but I'm enjoying today. Have a healthy dinner planned and a light lunch today! I read back to some posts in January chat, I will definitely post a picture of me in my corset! :D Anyone have fun Valentine's plans? I'm thrilled that the beau and I are staying in and cooking a wonderful dinner together, watching a movie, and drinking a bottle of wine. Perfect. :) Love you beautiful ladies. ETA: Turbo, that water will fall off so fast, don't beat yourself up! Life is about having fun and doing things you enjoy, too! I bet the superbowl festivities were a ton of fun and you'll be back to where you wanna be in NO time! You didn't fail at all. I might suggest that you change your official weigh in day? I used to weigh in on Mondays, but after seeing how I would over eat on the weekends, I changed it to Friday. ;) |
I weighed in - it wasnt too bad at 129. Hoping to see 128/127 VERY SOON.
|
Poo, no change for several days BUT I've been eating well and exercising, so I'm not worried.
Forgot breakfast this morning though >_< So far today I've only had 2 cups of coffee, a few pistachios (YUM!!!!!!!!!) and some Fiber One =/ I get home at around 2 pm and I'm going to treat myself to some more veggies and PROTEIN! |
I drafted a long post yesterday but database errors ate it!
Basically I'm up THREE LBS from last Monday, haha. TOM came which may partially explain why I've been eating so much, but honestly it's just "excitement" eating and drinking from moving and celebrating. And the Superbowl, my poor guy was the only Pats fan at our party. Ouch! Dorian5 Dude, I feel you! It's so nice when you can sit back and go "oh hey I like me" even after a streak of "bad" eating. That V-Day sounds lovely. I'm not sure what we're doing, but he's going to cook for me on Tuesday. Dianne, JoJoP You'll see losses soon. It will happen. Dianne are you sure your scale isn't broken or something? Turbo You're not a failure at all - it's only Tuesday, you can turn this week around and feel better about it soon! philana 58 kg is my "very happy" weight! I did all this weighing stuff in KG while I was in Japan, and it still feels weird to be thinking in lbs now. Sometimes one seems "better" than the other. Congrats on your running progress! Nienna Hey, nice to see you again! I'm in the same situation. Similar weight but lost fitness. Funny how different it feels...are you back in the US now? |
Hey guys!
Turbo, it's hard not to get discouraged on days like that, but just remember that it's not "real" weight gain. It's probably just bloat and will go away in a few days. Dorian, I love those days. It's like you can suddenly see yourself as everyone else does, and the criticism melts away. Those are the best! LoveSweets, nice going! Under 130! JoJo, sounds like you've got your diet under control. That's such a good feeling. I love when I've been working out and eating well without many backslides. Krampus, man I feel that. Once I had a four pound gain during a three day period, basically due to crappy eating/bloat/all that excitement. It went back down a couple of days later though, I'm sure you'll do the same. :D It's been a rough few days and I haven't been eating properly. My weight is down but it's just due to not eating enough and pacing the floor (i.e. not real loss). Hope everyone is having a good week with some success! |
Nienna No, it's been like 75-80 degrees here in FL! So it's not that. But thanks for the thought!
Turbo and Krampus Thank you!! And no my scale isn't broken Krampus lol I thought about that already. Also, I think your 3 pd gain is most def. from TOM. That always happens to me! And hey, if it makes you feel any better, I once read somewhere that you burn on average 100 calories more a day while on your period! hehe Feeling a bit better today about things. Not sure why. Maybe it's because Im starting to feel lighter... Who knows. I'm in this for the long haul!! Hope everyone's is having a great week! |
Ughhhhh plateauing around 124-125 for the last couple weeks. I hate that it's soooo much harder to lose at this weight!!!!!
|
I weighed in yesterday and was down 1.8 which was awesome. Hoping I can keep it up.
Laurlaur- you are closer to goal than I am but it sure gets harder. Pink runner- hope your stress is easing up a bit Turbo- you will be back on track and the water will fall off, salty foods just do that. This weekend is our towns winter carnival which is usually a big weekend of drinking traditionally I'm really going to have to hold it together to keep the downward trend. |
