Welcome Belma. :)

Petite Powerhouse 01-10-2012 06:54 PM

I've been at 108 for about a year or so. I can't recall now. I finally feel like this may work for me. :)

Emerald Eyes 01-11-2012 09:08 PM

another shorty here :D

I am down to 119 now...I actually hit 119 almost 3 weeks ago and can't seem to get that stupid scale to go down!! I guess I fit the "norm" for the scale not moving after the 120s! any tips to get stuff moving again?

I thought I'd look smaller when I'd lost this amount of weight... I still feel chubby and bulky. Anybody else feel this way?

I think sometimes the body needs that long to tone/adjust after a weight loss. Your pics look awesome... very fit and toned.

Hi all. May I join you since there's no 100s club? I just had an apple and some peanut butter for breakfast. I got smart this time and measured out what looked like 2 tbsp of peanut butter and put it on my plate. Usually, I just spread it on the apple right from the jar and end up eating waaaaay too much pb. Every little step counts.

Yeah sometimes I do, I'm bottom heavy so I'm still carrying a lot of weight on my thighs :(. It's odd, I have days when I think about how far I've come and feel slim, but then there are days (like today) where I feel chunky and still feel as though I have a long way to go.

I'm 5'1 and currently have gotten down to 123..... Would love to be 115 like I was in my 20's , my weight hadn't gotten up to 143. I have to reduce my calories a lot to lose, so for now just eating fairly light and healthy!!!

I just joined! A little bit about myself:

I decided to lose weight in 2006, when I reached 130. I went about it in the most horrific of ways, starving myself until I was in the 90s, which led to crazy binging and I found myself back at 130. At that point, binging was basically a habit. I've slowly but surely gotten over that habit in the past year. It's taken me a while to get here, but I'm so glad I made it! I just want to keep working towards it! I really need to work on exercise, mostly. I'm a couch potato, I'll admit. Two weeks ago I hit 102, and since then there's been no change. I'm not in any rush, though.

Glad to be here!

Hey everyone,

Checking in again to announce that I can officially join this thread. I was actually 118 this morning! :carrot: (<-- I've never used that before!)

I know why they say that the last 10-15 ibs are the hardest, pheww!

So how is everyone? Maybe we should have mini-introductions or something?

Emerald Eyes 01-23-2012 10:46 PM

I was finally 118 this morning, too! :) woohoo! I've been stuck at 119 or 120 for about a month...and the scale is finally moving a little bit. These last few are really annoying...

Maybe because you are still in the higher end of the healthy bmi ? If your frame size is small (or even extra-small like mine haha) maybe you'll feel better in the mid-range?

i've been at 118 for the last few days too! (not wanting to feel left out here, lol).

I'm happy to stay here really or happy if i naturally lose a couple more. Am in the process of trying to find out what maintenance at this weight involves (and it probably doesn't involve all those glasses of wine and two slices of pavlova from yesterdays party......)

Everybody's body is totally different—different proportions, different muscle-to-fat ratio. And, while there isn't as much variation in frame size as people think—it's something that becomes apparent as a person loses weight—some people really do have very small frames while others do not. So, in the end, it's really impossible to compare. 119 may work for you, and your eyes just don't see you right yet. On the other hand, 119 for you is about 142 for me, which I know would be on the upper end of my BMI range. I wouldn't be comfortable there in my particular body. There is a range for a reason, though. It is, again, because we are all different.

As I say, the issue can also sometimes be that you aren't seeing yourself as you are yet. I know that when I was losing I was surprised to see how thin I looked in pictures. In the mirror I never looked like that at all. So maybe you should give your eyes and brain time to catch up and then reevaluate.

I think it's important to keep in mind (speaking for myself) that sometimes I can be overcritical of myself, which distorts my body-image.

belmagick 02-04-2012 03:11 PM

Been 118 for about a week now :D!
