I'd honestly rather be a 32B and skinny than the heavy 36DD that I am
|
I am starting at a 36A... what the heck am I gonna be at goal? Frig!
|
Back (centuries ago) when I was at my goal weight, I was a perky 34B. I was pretty happy with that. I am small framed so it looked proportional on me, plus I augmented with a few Wonder Bras. lol
Now I weigh 15 lbs more, have had and nursed two kids, and am a full 34D/DD. I suspect when I get back down to goal that I'll be a (saggy) 34B again. Hate to see them go, though. They're hubby's favorite toys. lol |

Luckily, they are still quite um, perky so I don't have issues with sagging probably because I bottle-fed both sons. Although, this morning I woke up and my 34B's looked a little fuller because the TOM is around the corner. It kind of reminded me of the old days, lol.

I've only lost 8lbs so far but I measured myself today because my bras are beginning to feel a little loose and I've lost a full inch from around my bust. :/ How long can you wait before you absolutely have to buy new bras? I don't want to buy new bras because I know I'm going to lose more and bras are expensive. At the moment I'm making do with sports bras and one of my tighter fitting bras but can't wear them every day. |
I've lost 42 pounds in the last 13 months, with 6 inches off my bust measurement. I only bought new bras about every 2" lost (I did this twice already, and I'm in dire need again). It's not ideal--at 1" lost, it still looks ok, but at 2" it's pretty bad--but you're right, it's expensive.
I am now pretty much sized out of Target/Kmart/etc sized bras--a ribcage measurement of 28" and bust measurement of 36" puts me in small-band large-cup territory, sizes that "regular stores" don't carry. I'm about to visit family and would like to look good for my visit, so I guess I'm going to go to Nordstrom Rack and maybe Frederick's of Hollywood and see if I can find a couple of bras that fit me and aren't $60-100 each? I'm really not willing to spend $50+ on something that probably won't fit quite right by the time I lose my last ~6 pounds. |
I finally went and got new bras right before my vacation, they were just too loose and my t-shirts looked awful. Anyway, Kohl's was having an intimate apparel sale and they were selling discontinued bra styles for $13.00!! I also had a 15% e-coupon so I did alright much to DH's happiness. I had to hunt a little bit for my size and color but it was well-worth the treasure hunt to not spend a small fortune.

OMG...tell me about it...I'm a Small B....Big A now and it's like these Old C's could not get any darn smaller .....yet they do! hate it!
:o |
One of my initial reasons for losing weight was my bras getting uncomfortably snug. At the time I was a 36c. Now I'm a 32a. At work and when relaxing at home I prefer sports bras for comfort. 32a sports bras are not easy to find. I usually buy mine in the girls department and stock up on new bras when the stores have their back to school sales.
Fortunately for me my DH is not a boob man. |

I've seriously considered a boob uplift but i think i'm probably a bit young for that at the moment. |
