Is it just me...

...or does it seem my boobs shrink more than any other body part? I have lost 11 lbs now. I def notice I have slimmed all over BUT whyyyy do my boobs have to shrink?! Lol. My bras are getting too big & my bf is a boob guy. I hope he won't notice quite as much as I do. (There's my complaint of the day :D )

banananutmuffin 08-04-2011 10:29 AM

Yeah, one of the biggest things I worry about with losing weight is losing my killer rack! lol

Back when I was younger (and thinner), I had a decent set of perky boobs. But now that I've packed on pounds, been preggers twice and nursed two kids, I am scared to death of what the girls are going to look like after I get back down to my ideal weight.

Ah well... everything in life is a trade-off, right? ;)

fitmom 08-04-2011 10:53 AM

I recently discovered that my very nice set of C-cup breasts (34C) had been reduced to a B-cup (34B), much to my dismay. My old breasts weren't huge but considering that I'm kissing 40 and gave birth twice, they were pretty decent, lol. At first the new smaller ones seemed almost 'deflated' ( I lost some of the fullness on top) - if that's even possbile but now they seem full just a bit smaller - if that makes any sense. Plus, I look at this way, I'd rather be athletic-looking with B-cups than frumpy with C-cups. ;) Besides, some of my halter tops fit better now because there's no 'spillage' and my hubby bought me all new bras...not exactly a bad thing, in my book.

On a side note, my hubby hardly noticed. He tells me that I look great, no matter what. Bless his heart but I still think he needs glasses. :p

Trust me, you're not the only one with this problem. I hear ya!

jens10 08-04-2011 10:56 AM

I seem to lose a cup size with about every 5 pounds. I'm starting with a DD, but I know that I will be a D/C by the time I get to my goal weight. I had some kidney problems a few years ago and became very thin (as in had to shop at Gap kids because adult clothing fell off of me). My boobs looked like deflated water balloons- it was not pretty.

fivestone 08-04-2011 11:06 AM

Haha, right there with you with my deflated balloons. Somewhere between a 30/32 C. Not the best combination for actually finding a bra that fits!

I found something called a 'bralette' - google it if you don't know what I'm talking about. I'm a smaller cup than you but slightly broader; my bust is 33" across. It comes in small, medium, large and extra large. I take the small and it works for me. Of course, I wear other regular bras too. It doesn't have an underwire which may or may not work for you. My breasts are still pretty pert so I don't require one but everyone's different. Hope this helps. :)

Dorian5 08-04-2011 12:20 PM

What I wouldn't do for a full C cup. I started this weight loss at 150lbs and a 34DDD. I'm now a 32DD -- barely anything came off of my chest. But that little bit of weight loss... it has not been kind to them. :dizzy: It's not full on tennis-ball-in-a-tube-sock.... but they are definitely not as full. Bah! I can't win for losing!

skinny fast 08-04-2011 01:15 PM

Def not just you. I noticed that this morning. My 34DD bra is fitting much looser. I think I may be a 32D/DD now.

fitmom 08-04-2011 01:20 PM

Dorian5 and skinny fast: Anytime you ladies want to trade with me, I'll be glad to hand over my 34B's to you. All you have to do is ask. Am I seriously like the only small-busted woman here? LOL. I'd be happy with what either of you have. You're so lucky. :)

christine123 08-04-2011 01:25 PM

*butts in on convo* Howdy! Hope you don't mind the butting in here...I have gone from 36C to a 34B just in the last 11lbs of loss or so. Being at goal before, I already expected it. And that's where I'll stay. Thankfully I won't go to an A, but this still bugs!

fitmom 08-04-2011 01:29 PM

Ooo, another 34B, yay! LOL. I'm hoping mine don't go to an A either. Although I'm practically at goal so I doubt it.

nikkinouille 08-04-2011 01:39 PM

I was a 36C.

Now I am a 34B. I don't wanna go any lower!

fitmom 08-04-2011 01:49 PM

I know - B is the cutoff for me, lol. Having an A cup would make me feel 12 again.

rawbanana 08-04-2011 10:35 PM

Ok, ya'll are making me feel bad!! I went from a nice FULL 36B to now a 'pretty much nothing there' 32A!! thank the good Lord for padded push up bras. Not that they have anything to 'push up' but at least w/ a shirt on over it, I look proportionate. If I dont have a bra on, I am COMPLETELY flat. But after nursing 5 babies and losing weight and being at a pretty low and lean weight for me (100#'s now!!) I cant expect much else. I try to tell myself the lack of boobs will make me a faster runner =)

Magalo 08-04-2011 10:39 PM

Aw I have problem with my bras size since I lost weight.
At first I was wearing 34B, but now 34 is way too big and I need to wear 32. But 32B is way too small, and 32C is a bit too big! It's really annoying. x)

ChubbyCheeks 08-04-2011 10:47 PM

I'd honestly rather be a 32B and skinny than the heavy 36DD that I am

ahyessophie 08-04-2011 10:53 PM

I am starting at a 36A... what the heck am I gonna be at goal? Frig!

banananutmuffin 08-05-2011 08:13 AM

Back (centuries ago) when I was at my goal weight, I was a perky 34B. I was pretty happy with that. I am small framed so it looked proportional on me, plus I augmented with a few Wonder Bras. lol

Now I weigh 15 lbs more, have had and nursed two kids, and am a full 34D/DD. I suspect when I get back down to goal that I'll be a (saggy) 34B again. Hate to see them go, though. They're hubby's favorite toys. lol

As an A cup I wouldn't even consider you that small LOL. In 2008 when I was at my peak weight as an adult the fact that my bras were getting small was what really alerted me to my weight gain because that is literally the last place I gain.

Probably the same honestly. My boobs stayed exactly the same size from 140 pounds down to 122. They only grew when I was pushing 150.

fitmom 08-05-2011 09:51 AM

The only time and I mean the only time I was ever big-busted was when I was pregnant. I went from my-then 34C to a 34D. I was huge. My hubby loved it. But once the babies were born and I didn't nurse, they deflated in less than a week. Luckily, they are still quite um, perky so I don't have issues with sagging probably because I bottle-fed both sons. Although, this morning I woke up and my 34B's looked a little fuller because the TOM is around the corner. It kind of reminded me of the old days, lol.

No you are not. At my highest weight I was a full b. I am probably a small b pushing an A now. Its sooooooooo sad. lol

Thanks for the tip! I live in Europe so I'm having to search a little harder, but I think I've found something that I can order from Germany (also saw something on Ebay Austria, but it's a bit pricey - US 65.00! :dizzy:)

TheManekiNeko 08-07-2011 12:55 PM

How do you deal with the constant shrinking of boobs?

I've only lost 8lbs so far but I measured myself today because my bras are beginning to feel a little loose and I've lost a full inch from around my bust. :/

How long can you wait before you absolutely have to buy new bras? I don't want to buy new bras because I know I'm going to lose more and bras are expensive.

At the moment I'm making do with sports bras and one of my tighter fitting bras but can't wear them every day.

sumire 08-07-2011 01:25 PM

I've lost 42 pounds in the last 13 months, with 6 inches off my bust measurement. I only bought new bras about every 2" lost (I did this twice already, and I'm in dire need again). It's not ideal--at 1" lost, it still looks ok, but at 2" it's pretty bad--but you're right, it's expensive.

I am now pretty much sized out of Target/Kmart/etc sized bras--a ribcage measurement of 28" and bust measurement of 36" puts me in small-band large-cup territory, sizes that "regular stores" don't carry. I'm about to visit family and would like to look good for my visit, so I guess I'm going to go to Nordstrom Rack and maybe Frederick's of Hollywood and see if I can find a couple of bras that fit me and aren't $60-100 each? I'm really not willing to spend $50+ on something that probably won't fit quite right by the time I lose my last ~6 pounds.

fitmom 08-07-2011 05:33 PM

I finally went and got new bras right before my vacation, they were just too loose and my t-shirts looked awful. Anyway, Kohl's was having an intimate apparel sale and they were selling discontinued bra styles for $13.00!! I also had a 15% e-coupon so I did alright much to DH's happiness. I had to hunt a little bit for my size and color but it was well-worth the treasure hunt to not spend a small fortune.

twinmommaplusone 08-09-2011 12:40 AM

OMG...tell me about it...I'm a Small B....Big A now and it's like these Old C's could not get any darn smaller .....yet they do! hate it!

:o

Magrat 08-09-2011 04:56 AM

One of my initial reasons for losing weight was my bras getting uncomfortably snug. At the time I was a 36c. Now I'm a 32a. At work and when relaxing at home I prefer sports bras for comfort. 32a sports bras are not easy to find. I usually buy mine in the girls department and stock up on new bras when the stores have their back to school sales.

Fortunately for me my DH is not a boob man.

Same for my hubby, lol.

RummyMcGin 08-24-2011 06:02 AM

I'm shrinking from my full D to a large C. i'm not pleased. especially as when i was at my biggest i was a 32F so now i'm pretty bloody droopy.

I've seriously considered a boob uplift but i think i'm probably a bit young for that at the moment.

Magalo 08-24-2011 10:43 AM

My mom just said that I was maybe wearing a 30C. WHAT THE ****? It's even hard to find 32C in shops, let alone 30C.

My ribcage is 26 inches!

Ryler832 08-24-2011 11:16 PM

I started out at 36D and I am now 34C. I am not happy with what I have now because it sags and I have found that only Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Push Up Bras are the only ones that have worked for me.

Hubby said I can get a breast augmentation when I reach goal if I am interested. If it isn't full or if it shrinks below a C cup then I will have to take him up on his offer.

claire0412 08-25-2011 03:38 AM

I've always had small boobs. At my highest weight (about 20lbs heavier than now maybe) they were are 34c, now they are a 32b. 34b is my 'normal' size. I must admit, I quite like it! Running is easy, no pervy men looking at my chest the entire time, I don't have to buy tops that are sizes too big just to fit over my boobs. Focus on the positives! After having a minor operation on my foot, I'd never willingly put myself through what is actually a major operation, just to get bigger/perkier boobs.
