OH My! What a coincidence. So am I! lol I cant believe I am about to type these words because I never thought it would happen, or I would let it happen, but I have gained back everything I lost! Now, it might be because of the BC I recently got on, but regardless I know some of the weight is from poor eating, lots of alcohol and lack of exercise. So here we go ladies. I started this past Sunday.

SW:137
CW:136?
Month GW:130
Aug 10th GW: 125.anything. Yes I know that seems extreme. Im just hoping a few pounds of the 137 is water weight! ahhhhhhhh

Is this too unrealistic!? Its basically 12 pounds in 6 weeks. But I am eating around 1500 calories a day along with running 2.5 miles 5 times a week..

I dont think its unrealistic and I bet at least 2-3 lbs is water if not more. Awesome that our stats are pretty much the same. Lets do it! :0).

What do you think contributed to the gain? Was is hard to maintain at 129? Thats what Im afraid of. Every time I reach a new low there is usually a 2-3 day long binge in which I gain a few bck. Then I get bck to the new low weight and have the motivation to get lower than that. Then the cycle repeats. Its like the body just needs a break.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...but YES..this is completely unrealistic. If you had 50 lbs to lose, then NO, it wouldn't be, but we're talkin the last few vanity pounds and they are very hard to lose. Basically, our bodies tend to like to store a little fat (survival mechanism), so I'd say give yourself 2-3 months to drop those last stubborn 12 pounds.

FYI - it took me 2 months to lose the last 5 lbs to goal (which actually is a vanity goal).

Making realistic goals ensure more of a likelyhood that you will 1)reach those goals and 2) maintain it.

Skinnyelle Yes! We can do this together. I am very determined. I know 127 -128 is probably more realistic but Im still going to shoot for 125

No it wasnt too hard to maintain. The reason I gained it all back is 100% my own fault. These past few months I have been consuming about 10k calories on the weekends. Then I would attempt to "diet" during the week to make up for the gain and I would end up still eating around 1800-2000 calories and not exercising much. SO basically I never gave my body a chance to to lose the extra calories. I will NEVER do that again. I cant tell you how bad it feels. Physically, mentally, emotionally, self esteem wise; you name it.

So we CAN do this little lady! By the way, I saw your pics in the 20 somethings, you look AWESOME girl!

Joyfulloser Thank you for the tough love. And I understand where you are coming from. The only reason why I think it might be possible for me is because a few months ago I was losing at a steady rate 1.5 pounds a week and still drinking and having off days. I lost the 1.5 pounds steadily all the way down to around 129. But then I started getting way off track and it all spiraled down from there. So it leaves me to believe that either one, I lose weight quickly, or two my body is not at its "happy" point, so it is, for lack of better words, begging me for the weight loss. I really believe these first 8ish pounds arent vanity pounds for my body and thats why it loses it quickly. I bet though, I will find it a lot harder and slower to lose once I get below 128. But who knows, I have never stuck with something long enough for that

Kind of make sense?

I'm hopping on here. I have exactly one month left in Japan. My goal is to weigh the same when I leave as I do today - under 130 lbs - and NOT BINGE. With all the farewell dinner parties and drinking parties and stressful situations and whatnot, the last thing I need is extra pounds and guilt from binging to drag me down. And for anyone who's followed me on here, I haven't weighed less than 130 since February - keeping my weight down is hard hard hard!

Dianne042425 Trust me I know that weight gain guilt. I was around 135 this past saturday... Now Im hovering in the 139-141 range due to too many off plan foods, not enough activity, and not being able to "go" the way I need to. And its such a slippery slope when those lbs start creeping up. But you are doing the right thing.

Thanks for the compliment :0)

Krampus Glad you'll be joining us! Good luck we got this! :-)

Skinnyelle - You KNOW most of it is water weight. One week on track you'll amost be back to where you were

Weighed in today. 136. Which tells me I am retaining water weight. No one can lose a whole pound in 2 days lol

SW:137 Monday June 27
CW:136 Thursday June 30
GW:130 Monday July 25

Main GW: 125.8 Wednesday August 10th

10.2 pounds to go in 41 days! Eek thats 1.4 pounds a week consistently

S/C/G: 205-135 Maintaining since '10

...i don't post often, but read your posts all the time! I guess I should quit being such a snot and join the discussion

count me in! My lowest was between 120/122 I'm sitting closer to 130 (I dare not step on the scale right now) and I have a couple weddings to attend in Sept.

I DESPERATELY want to get down to at least between 115/120. 120 being my red line.

i'm going to attempt to do intermittent fasting a minimium 2 days a week (3 max) and reduce my exercise ever so slightly. I'd like to rein my calories in to a max of 1,300/day. I've been averaging about 1,750 since January.

good luck to all of you and hopefully i'm chatting with you ladies more often. the work you gals have done is awesome keep it up!

How do you maintain at 1750? It always blows my mind when I read things like that. To lose I eat around 1200-1375. But I feel like Id gain every.single.pound. back if I ate more than 1500-1600 as crazy as that sounds... Maybe its just a mental thing for me. Have you been working out with that as well?

You girls rock! Count me in too, if you don't mind. I too have about a month (1 month + 6 days) until my big beach vacation, and thus my mini goal.

And I too had that big set back. I'm just getting myself back on track now. I went from 127 to 133.4 in a week, but this morning I weighed in at 126.6. (funny how those tenths of a pound help you to feel better, LOL)

Aaaand, lol, I too have a possibly (probably) unrealistic goal, but I know I can do it!

My plan: 126.6 to 117 by 8/6/11. 1400 cals or less/day. Exercise 6-7 times/week. I run, hit the elliptical &/and strength train. I go an average of 4-6 miles/day. I'm also taking supplements, drink organic protein shakes (as meal replacements) and eat vegetarian. Not that you asked

Good luck ladies! We can do it!

skinnyelle I love your treat & rewards! I love idea for extra motivation and I love the ones you chose You're gorgeous, woman! As are you, evezy!

I had an "incident" with some peanut butter last night - scale is up half a pound, but I avoided an all-out binge and am now 10 days binge free. I think I'm not getting enough fat in my day to day diet - aside from eggs, some olive oil and a small full fat yogurt in the morning, I don't really get much.

Count me in! In a month I want to lose at least 7-8 pounds fat and gain at least 1.5-2 pounds healthy lean muscle instead! I also want to up my protein intake to minimum 80g daily, burn 700-1000 calories a day in exercise and be able to run a 5k by the end of it! So lots of work for me then but I just CAN'T WAIT!

Way to go, Chooks! Great goals I especially love the 700-1000 cal burn every day. I'm tired just reading about it. But sounds like what I'm shooting for too.

krampus, great job with the 10 days. I love that you're counting. That's motivating. I'm 3 days binge free, humph. That's going to help me though. Thanks Do you like nuts? Almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts... great way to add healthy fat. Or munch on pumpkin seeds? My favorite though are avocados. I can eat a whole, fresh avocado with a spoon in 3 seconds. I also have been eating more flaxseed. HTH
