Hey Everyone!
I'm new here and so wish I would have discovered this forum a few months (or YEARS ago!). I just had a little girl in January (my second in 2 years) and decided once and for all that I wanted to get healthy. I've been chunky for most of my life and have fluctuated between the 160s and 170s for the last 7 years. My pre-pregnancy weight was 165 and I was back to that within a month of having Ruby. In the beginning of March I decided to join the gym and began keeping a food journal. I also started the couch to 5k running program and completed it in mid-May. Never in my life did I dream of running three miles straight! I try to keep my calories between 1200-1300 calories a day, with a splurge day here and there. I go to the gym for an hour of cardio 4-5x a week and have started taking after dinner walks with the stroller a couple of times a week too.
This morning I weighed in at 139.6 and I feel SO great! I hope to never see the 140s again! My goal is 132, which I hope to meet by mid-July when my husband comes home from a 6 month deployment. He left the week after our daughter was born and has no idea about my weight-loss efforts. I know he loves me just as I am, but I'm so excited to surprise him with the new me.... hopefully about 40 lbs lighter than when he saw me last!
I'm glad to be here to give and receive support.
