Valentine's Day Goals
So I was very scared to weight myself this morning but I did and I am very happy to report that I maintained at 147 through Christmas. I was really hoping to be 140 by Christmas but that just didn't happen but it is awesome that I didn't gain.
I am going to post my Valentine's Day Goal here that I will be 140 pounds. This is to help me stay accountable. Who's with me? What is your Valentine's Day goal? One big change I know I am going to have to make is drop the daily wine glass or glasses. I know this is keeping my body from losing these next pesky 5-7 pounds. |
I'm in. i've regained a bunch of weight these past couple months but am determined to get back into my shorts by summer.
As of this morning i was back up to 150 (a little higher than usual cuz of TOM). My Valentines Day Goal is going to be 137. expect to see me around 3FC more often again, cuz you ladies are my main encouragement. :) |
i wanted to be 140 by Christmas too but alas..that did not happen..i'm kind of unsure of my current weight because i've been super sick with some kind of stomach thing so i know the low number i've been seeing is not accurate. this morning i was 143.6. i'm going to guess i'm really around 145 right now so my valentine's day goal is 135. 10lbs is kinda lofty for 6-7 weeks for me but i'm going to try and hopefully make it.

SweetyKins, I have the EXACT same goal. I was trying to be 140 by Christmas also, but instead here I am at 147-148. So 140 lbs became my V-day goal instead.

Same here, I wanted to be at my goal of 120 by Christmas! Valentine's Day is my absolute final goal deadline though. I'll be leaving for Australia the next day, which is one of the big things that sparked this weight loss journey.

Seeing the low numbers you guys are posting is still just a pipe dream, however I am in for the Valentines Day goal.
This morning I was at 169. I am going to aim for 157 by Valentines Day. |
I'm thinking that I'm going to aim for 112. Pretty ambitious, but why not?

I really wanted to make 115 by V-day when I first started off in October but I doubt I'll be able to. I would love to be 118-120 though. Hopefully it'll be easier now that the holidays are almost done. :)

Valentines day is....about 7 weeks away. I want to aim for 15 lbs. I hope i can stay motivated and really push myself.
So ID LOVE TO BE 128 on Feb 14th. BTW ladies, does jogging and walking at intervals take the weight off quicker than cardio (taebo)? |
i forgot to add that realisticly on my plan, if i eat 1250 cals a day, it will take 8 weeks to lose 18 lbs. So maybe i can hit 15 lbs, if not i will keep pushing. But hoping to hit it!

I'd like to be at or under 125 by Valentine's Day. I think it's doable. When I'm being "good," I've been losing about a pound a week, so I should see some dramatic changes by V-Day. :)

Well...my original New Years goal was 135, and after losing about 9 lbs my first month of dieting I revised it to 125 around Halloween. I weighed at 139 this morning, so no chance of hitting those goals. After those first 9 lbs my weight loss slowed to about 3 or 4 lbs through out all of November/December.
Not sure what is realistic for me...I'd love to see 130 by Vday. It seems realistic, but I would hate to be disappointed like with my New Years Goals...although I must admit I sort of gave up in mid December and have been eating small amounts of whatever I want, so I am very happy I haven't gained. It's been nice to take a break too, but I'll be back at it Monday! |
I'd like to be at 130 on Valentines Day. I tend to lose easily up until 132 - and know that once I am back to my normal eating habits tomorrow (Nov and Dec were a little rough) it should be a reasonable goal. Here is to the next few weeks!!

Valentine's Day will be my first day home from my cruise. Therefore, my goal for Valentines Day is to weigh exactly what I do now—a really hard goal for me because vacations so tempt me with food. But, if I can do it? Then I will commit to losing three more pounds to get to 105 by St. Patty's Day.

124 is my Minigoal for valentines day but I would love to be 122. So I will push myself really hard.

I would like to see 125 atleast if not lower by Valentine's day. I had a major set back at Christmas gaining 4.5 lbs back and have had to re-lose those to get back to where I was before. I just want my clothes to fit properly again!

I'm up about 4 lbs since my birthday (Christmas Eve) after 10 days of nonstop inhalation of bread, cheese, chocolate and all that stuff you can get in Europe that you can't get in Japan. I'm cool with that, but I'd like to get serious about returning to a better fitness level and dropping some more pounds.
For now I'll set my Valentine's Day goal at 122. |
i am going to set a goal of 134. That's a 5 lb loss, which is about 1 pound per week for the next 5 weeks.

My mini-goal for V-Day is to get back under 135. I gained about 10 back since September, but I'm ready to work now!

my vday goal is to be somewhere under 135, even if it is just 134! i am bouncing between 140-142 now, saw 139.5 last friday and was really hoping i would be back there again today :(

My goal for Valentine's Day is to be 140lbs so a loss of 9-7 lbs in 6 weeks. I managed to lose around that for my Christmas goal so I think I can do it if I really buckle down and get tough on myself.

This was not a good week for me. I got back up to 150, not very happy about that but as of this morning back down to 148. My new work schedule is killing me. I joined a vanpool and I now have to get up at 5:30 in the morning which is way too early for me. It's still pitch black outside when I meet the other riders at 6:45 am. I'm so tired by the time I leave that I haven't been very motivated to go the gym. I'm going to keep giving it a try, the vanpool and the gym that is. But if I find that this vanpool is ruining my physical activity too much then it's worth the extra cost of the gas for me. I was running in the morning before work which was so much easier than after work.

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum (well...I say new, but I was here a few years back!) And I think a valentines goal is a great way to start! I hope you dont mind me joining in! Im currently 139 and would love to be 132 by V Day! Cant wait to hear how everyone is doing :)

We leave for our week long ski vacation on February 12th, so that's my 'goal' day. So I have about five and a half weeks. My lowest weight I've seen recently was 122.2, but I was pretty dehydrated. Since I'd rather fall short and hit 119 instead of falling short of 119 and stay in the 120's, I will make 117 my goal. Eek. :fr: Then I will have to figure out maintenance.

My Valentine's Day goal is 129. :) Haven't seen it since 2005, will make a dash for it, currently at 135.

My goal will be 127lbs. (Rather, 126.9.) That would mean I'd HAVE to break my plateau. I don't know if it'll happen or not, but I'll be over the moon if it does. (I have no idea how you other ladies are able to lose weight so quickly and have such large goals!!)

I was 144 before Christmas and 149 at New Year!!
However, when I looked back at my 2011 weight loss spreadsheet, I was 147 at New Year 2010 - so only 2 lb heavier than last year. But I am determined to really get down to it this year. Got married in July at 138 and came back from honeymoon at 144 in August and basically just messed about from August to December without really losing any weight. This year I want to get back into all those cute clothes I wore the year before when I hit 129. OMG I can't believe I am 20 lb higher than my lowest weight!! So, my Valentines day goal is 143 - I am planning on losing 1 lb a week, which is realistic I think. |
Well, I am today adjusting my goal from 143 down to 140, as I have lost 5.6 in the last week!
Although I know it will slow down now, so I think 140 is doable. How is everyone else doing? |

I think it was my first week properly back on my diet after NY and Christmas, and the weight had gone on quickly, I was 144 before Christmas, so it came off quickly.
Although I was surprised at HOW quickly. I have halved my coffee consumption from 6 mugs to 3 a day and my cals average at 1270 per day, so not stupidly low. |
Just under 4 weeks til Valentine's day... So I have a pound a week to lose to reach my goal of 132. I totally think that's do-able :)
Anyone else going to be spending Valentines day as a singleton? :( If I reach my goal of 132, I'm going to do something nice for MYSELF. Maybe get my hair done or something :D |

I want to hit 122 for Feb. 10 which is when I head out for my Seoul trip. Something's got to give though, I still haven't gotten below 125.7 post-vacation (on Dec. 24 I weighed 123.5, boy that was nice). TOM this week and I think it will be easier to control myself in the coming weeks.

I am shooting for 143. I won't be super shocked if I don't make it because I have been losing very slowly, but if vday rolls around and I am at or below 145 I'll be thrilled! I weighed in earlier this week at 146.2.

I hope by Valentine's Day, I'm shooting for 154. I don't know if I'm ready for ten pounds, but I think I can do more than 4-5! So around 7 is good for me!

How is everyone doing with their goals?
I've gotten a bit off track but hope to be able to get close if I buckle down the next few weeks. I also sort of set my own date of Feb 19th instead of the 14th as 1) It's a Saturday and 2) It's my anniversary. : ) So an extra 4 days for me! Today is going well so far, I had a great 20 minute run at lunchtime, 2.5 miles of walking around town so far (and might get another .5 mile in if my other half doesn't pick me up from the train after work), and I am at about 960 calories for the day, so lots left for dinner tonight. Fingers crossed that I can break this plateau and really see some pounds melt off by V Day. |
I will try to get to 130 by feb 14.
