"Post something you like about yourself today"

I saw a thread on this subject somewhere on the board today, and can't find it again. Since I found the Featherweight section here and chimed in, I've been enjoying how nice it is to think of myself as being a Feather instead of thinking of myself as fat.

If it's all right, could we have a "post something you like about yourself today" thread?

Moderators, please do delete this if it's not all right.

Today I like thinking of myself as a feather! I'm even moving more weightlessly and gracefully. :)

kwinkle 07-12-2010 05:07 PM

great idea!

I like that I noticed my reflection in the window while I was cooking alst night and saw that my arms are becoming defined. I can see my biceps and deltiods! Woo hoo!:carrot:

AR4life 07-12-2010 05:19 PM

I like that my legs are getting stronger with the running!

Sunshinenmysoul 07-12-2010 05:22 PM

I like my legs. They're one of the only things on me that are actually really nice looking! (In my opinion of myself)

thesame7lbs 07-12-2010 10:45 PM

Today, I like my commitment!

This afternoon, I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open. It was raining and thundering. And... I packed all three kids in the car and went to the gym. One hour on the stairmaster and some pushups, crunches, squats and curls!

I also like my arms. See "pushups" and "curls" above. :D

Thighs Be Gone 07-12-2010 10:58 PM

I like that I planted the things I needed to in the backyard yesterday. I like that I ran so far today.

Absolutely!! Don't be shy to start threads SilvierLife... I'll change the title of this thread to "Post something you like about yourself today" ... I have those powers :wizard:

What I like about myself to day is that my fingers are feeling bony  ... Silly, yes, but that's how I tell if I'm losing weight :goodscale:

srmb60 07-13-2010 09:11 AM

A lovely idea for a thread. I have no problem with there being lots of these at 3FC!

I don't mind the pictures that were taken of me at a function on Saturday. And that's pretty cool. I don't mind looking at my own picture ... hmmm ...

SilverLife 07-13-2010 10:12 AM

Ilene, thanks. I like it that I'm staying on my food plan and my movement/exercise plan and enjoying them both.

srmb60 07-14-2010 09:45 AM

My pyjama pants are getting big so they slide a little and kind hang on my hips. Makes me feel slim through the middle ... in belly dancer fashion :joker:

SilverLife 07-14-2010 10:15 AM

It was easier to exercise today, and it's becoming ever easier to move, in general. It's a nice feeling.

chickapea 07-14-2010 10:23 AM

I like my stomach today! Coming from this apple, that is huge, I have never had a waist, and now I'm starting to see definition in my abs.

(thank you 30 Day Shred!)

GenetJen 07-14-2010 11:41 AM

Chickapea - that is huge! I, too, am an apple with belly issues.

I like the fact that I'm going to get off my butt and do hot yoga tonight, burning about 600 calories!

Dianne042425 07-14-2010 11:51 AM

Genjet,

Does that really burn that many calories? I am very intersted. How long is it for? Can you tell me a little about it?

chickapea 07-14-2010 12:11 PM

Hot yoga sounds amazing and my friend that does it all the time has an amaaazing body. But I'm pretty weird about trying new stuff! LOL! I can't even drag myself to the gym, I just do my workout DVDs at home.

JayZeeJay 07-14-2010 09:28 PM

I like that the 30DS seems to have given me not only a real waist but possibly, maybe, the beginning of "abs". Well, right now it's just 1 ab.

And I like that this has in turn given me the confidence to post something on a Featherweight page! If there's one thing I've NEVER been called in my life, it's a featherweight.

Ilene 07-14-2010 11:23 PM

Today after roller blading I felt icky an sweaty and super awesome... then went for a swim... Awww, I love SUMMER!!!

SilverLife 07-15-2010 10:50 AM

I like it that exercising turned out to be most enjoyable this morning, even though it took some effort to get myself to do it. I saw a hawk in a field, too, while I was walking.

It can absolutely burn a ton of calories - gets my heart-rate up anyway! The class I take is 60 minutes, Ashtanga-style yoga. The room is kept right at 99-100 degrees and 65% or so humidity. I think some places do it without adding any humidity, though. The high humidity makes it ridiculous! I have never sweat so much in an hour in my life. It's pretty intense. I would recommend trying it at least once! It's a nice change from running/elliptical/cycling. Works every muscle in your body!

Dianne042425 07-16-2010 09:36 AM

That sounds very interesting. Ill have to look into it. Thank you!

srmb60 07-16-2010 09:42 AM

I'm in such a good place in my life right now! Patience young mothers ... someday you too will be able to take a nap at 10 am if you need too.

SilverLife 07-16-2010 02:24 PM

I like it that I'm starting to see and feel the me I've been missing, which was underneath all the pounds of insulation. That me is appearing, both inside and out!

cornellchick 07-16-2010 03:58 PM

I like that I went to the grocery store last night and left with a cart full of healthy choices and no binge foods!!!

And I like that it's finally Friday... I'll just have to watch it this weekend! :)

ainsleymom 07-16-2010 04:42 PM

I like that I'm a good cook that can make her family a healthy, tasty, and varied menu!

thesame7lbs 07-16-2010 06:42 PM

Today I like my butt, especially in the new size 26 jeans I bought!

Ilene 07-16-2010 06:47 PM

Same7 ... size 26 :woohoo: way to go....

Ilene 07-16-2010 06:47 PM

I like that the capris I wore today are to big :D

LOL! I dream of that day!

SilverLife 07-17-2010 04:54 AM

Ilene, congratulations!

I like it that I can see and feel the thin me appearing! It's grand, it's grand.

srmb60 07-17-2010 09:13 AM

It's our grand-daughter's birthday party today. She'll be so happy to see us!

LLH2010 07-17-2010 09:29 AM

I like that the scale was a little lower, and my legs aren't even sore from the long workout I did yesterday!

SilverLife 07-18-2010 01:32 PM

I like it that I'm taking better care of myself.

oneoftwelve 07-19-2010 08:27 AM

I made it to 138.4 pounds! I haven't been under 139-140 since the beginning of high school!

SilverLife 07-19-2010 08:50 AM

1of12, congratulations! :)

SweetyKins 07-19-2010 01:34 PM

When I'm on the plan ijust like how I feel all over

caribbeangirl02 07-19-2010 04:05 PM

I like the energy I feel every morning to get up and just do things!!!

thesame7lbs 07-19-2010 06:43 PM

Carribeangirl, I wish I had energy when I got up in the morning! But my little guy is on a streak of waking up at 5 am -- I will never be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at that hour!

I like that I really made an effort to get to the gym today, even though I was in a dark mood and there were several family- and schedule-related obstacles. I ran and lifted and my arms looked good in the mirrors as I curled and pressed 12.5 lbs in each hand! :workout:

ETA: :bravo: oneoftwelve!

SilverLife 07-19-2010 07:02 PM

This is no. 2 for today, but it's just been on my mind. I like it that I don't have to keep the air conditioner as cold anymore. Being thinner costs less. I spend less money on food and on cooling the house!

srmb60 07-20-2010 03:56 PM

We had a horribly busy day at work. But I feel OK. My legs are tired but nothing extraordinary. I might go have a nap but only because supper is on the go and DH doesn't get home until six. I'm not super tired.

Improved stamina? Not bad for an old gal!

Ilene 07-20-2010 05:01 PM

Just back from zip lining, now that was a ball!
DH DD and I were all pretty proud of doing this... we had a ball it took 2 hours... Talk about working the core OYE :faint:
