Having lost more than 100 pounds in the last year, it is making me crazy that I can't seem to shake the last 10. It makes me question whether or not my goal weight is realistic (I know it is well within "normal healthy limits" but...) and it makes me question my ability to maintain it when/if I get there.
My goal for the week....starting today, stay completely on plan (avoiding the bag of sunflower seeds calling my name from the cupboard LOL) and see what happens by the weekend.
Well I have lose 44 pound ( i made my ticker 4 pound later ) it have been 1 year and 6 months ,I got pregnant in between my journey my baby is 8 months now.
Right now I am taking a break from the scale , I will WI again on May 29 or June 5 , no sure yet.
Some times I want to give up , and just star maintenance , but boy I do really want to say I did it ...
So my plan for now is just healty eating and try to eat less crap during the weekdays ....
We have just 6 pounds away .... for sure we can do it.
Hi there - this is ME! I've lost 50.5 (officially) as of today, and have 6 more pounds to go to get to my goal. I was on a plateau for almost 5 weeks and have FINALLY gotten the scale to move. I'm seeing good results, and at least for today, I feel confident that I WILL get there (eventually!).
Those last pounds are frustrating for sure. Lots of well-intended people who like to tell me that I am losing too much weight (my face looks very thin) or that I'm getting obsessed (except that I'm barely a healthy BMI!).
Thanks for starting this. I am completely new to this forum - it is my first post - and I'm looking forward to finding a community of people who are dealing with those final, stubborn pounds, too.
Oh I'm all over this! I've lost 103 pounds so far since September. I'm not sure exactly how many pounds I have to go. I'm trying to convince myself that it's only 10 pounds. I think the problem is that I need to focus A LOT more on strength training. My new goal is to flip my 75% cardio/25% strength training. Hopefully focusing on building muscle and losing about 10 more pounds will take me to wherever I'm comfortable bodywise. Good luck everyone, WE CAN DO IT!
Okay ladies! Shall we do a weekly weigh in to keep track of each other?
I am really REALLY hoping to be at goal (150) by the end of June. I weighed in at 158.2 last Friday so I think that can be done. I used to lose 3 pounds a week on average so...8 pounds in about 7 weeks...
Hey momof5k, I used to lose 3 pounds/week, too! lol
I would love to be at my goal of 145, where I will then maintain while really focusing on strength training. That is the new plan lol. So yeah, 7 pounds to go! At my old rate I would have hit this before my birthday (which is in 3 weeks exactly--June 3rd), but I don't see that happening so the end of June would be great! Anyway I'm a daily weigh-er but I'd love to do a weekly update!
My goals. I'd LIKE to be 145, or lower. I'm really focusing on my running. I've been strength training since October, but my cardio really needs a jump start. I ran my first 5k on Sunday, and would like to be ready for a 10k by July!
Hi girls .... I want to be at my gaol weight for June 26, It is going to be hard for me , my weight lose had been slow my whole journey , 3 pound maybe 1 time , the just 1 or .06 most of the time ... believe me I am OK whit it.
This week I star waking up early and going outside to run . let see if that help a little.
We have 6 weeks , so that will be like a pound for week .... I will be happy to enter to 120,s by them.
Hello to all, I am also in the "distinguished" 10 pounds to go club!!! Started at 155lbs back in September '09 (I am 5'2), today I'm at 123lbs and would liked to reach 115lbs by the end of June. As it seems to be for most people on this forum, these last 10 pounds have been by far the hardest.
Obviously the problem comes from your body needing (and burning) less and less calories as you weight less. In order to help me achieve this final goal, I decided to try a vegetarian diet, something that I had always wanted to try but didn't have the motivation to do in the past. I am eating fish, eggs and dairy products because in my opinion going 100% vegetarian cold turkey(no pun intended) would be a difficult challenge.
I have definitely seen a significant change in my body since I stopped eating meat, and noticed that I am losing more inches than weight. Since I am not particularly fixated on an specific number I am happy to loose inches and look better in my clothes!!!
In any case, it's nice to find women that are experiencing similar issues. Hope to be able to provide and receive support from and to you.
Hey ladies! I'm at 151 this morning after some annoying fluctuations. I think I'm finally starting to lose some water weight from my sore muscles (maybe? possibly?). I really am starting to spend a lot more time on strength training. Although I'm not raising my calories yet, I'm seeing it as a sort of smooth transition into maintenance as I focus less on burning as many calories as possible through cardio, and more on toning up. I am hoping to be in the 140s for my bday in two weeks though, hehe!
So how is everyone else doing? Welcome caribbeangirl02! It really does seem like a lot of us are hoping to be at goal by the end of June. It's amazing how soon that is
