Default Needing support now more than ever...

Hello ladies!

So, I thought I should check out this featherweights area, because... I need a little support now more than ever.
You'd think that I would need my most support at 175 lbs, when I was first starting to lose, but... for some reason, my motivation disappears most when I start to feel more comfortable in my own skin. So... the lower my weight goes, the more I'm like, "Ehh. I'm good," and start eating junk food again, and sending myself into a maintenance mode, or even sometimes slight gains.

Still, every once in a while, I just think how much happier and healthier I would be... if I could get down to that final goal weight, yes, but also start eating better, and working out (I haven't worked out in months now. It's horrible). Yes, I'm damn near 135 lbs, the goal weight I chose for myself back when I started this journey in 2007... but it won't be a healthy 135 lbs. It'll be a muscle-less, still somewhat pudgy 135 lbs.

My problem is, I don't enjoy working out. I really don't. And I live in Canada, and it's January. There's a foot of snow on the ground, so simple outdoor activities like a jog... made much more difficult. =/ These are excuses, really, but... part of me wishes I could just go kick a soccer ball around outside instead of having to go to the gym and stare at the muscle-head jocks from my college pumping iron while I run on the treadmill.

Resolves:

1. I'm going to get a 2nd semester gym membership at my college when school starts again in a week. And use it more than twice this time.
Or maybe go Monday and see if the school gym is open even though it's still holidays.

2. Once I make it down to my goal weight, I'm going to stop weighing myself daily, and start taking my measurements as an indicator instead-- how I look, feel, and which jeans I can fit into is much more important than the number at this point.

3. I'm going to get into good routines and habits eating-wise at college this semester. Medicating myself with junk food when I was depressed about having to go to work was NOT productive.

Wish me luck all!

Jelbb -- congrats on your progess and weight loss!

I see healthy eating as a goal in and of itself regardless of your weight. So much downside to eating junk food in terms of health risk.

Find an exercise you enjoy. Could be swimming at an indoor pool, taking pilates or yoga classes.

Good luck!
