Smile New Chick to site

Hello Everyone,

I'm new here. Just found this site yesterday and was happy when I came across the featherweights page this evening! I'm 33 (soon to be 34) and have 10lbs to lose. I just moved with my husband and 19 mo. old daughter from Indiana to North Carolina. I've been planning all summer to lose 10-15 lbs but with selling our house, moving and all that entails, it just didn't happen. My best friend is getting married in Grand Cayman the first week of November and I'm the maid of honor so now that I'm settled, have no job and am going insane in the house, it's the perfect time to get rid of those unwanted pounds! I actually started my exercise routine last Friday. I've been walking (with some jogging stuck in, but not much yet!) for 2-3/4 to 3-3/4 miles a day, at a rate of 3.5-4 miles per hr, 7 days a week. I need to add in some strenght training and/or pilates to strenghten my core and upper body as well as my legs. As of this past Monday, I was down 2lbs already, but I don't know how accurate that was. I have designated Saturday as my offical "weights and measures day" so I'll post those tomorrow. My "diet" isn't really a "diet" - it's a "don't eat crap" plan and "eat more fruit and veggies" plan. Which is much easier said than done!
