First 5lbs are GONE!! :) Now what?

  • I'm so excited!!! I'm down 5 pounds!! I honestly didn't do much.....I just tried to eat less and two days later I was down 3 pounds! Then I decided to keep it up and I'm down 5 pounds! I'm breastfeeding a soon to be 6 month old and I'm sure that has something to do with it! The thing is, I want to lose 20 more and I'm not sure how to do it. Should I just keep doing what I'm doing and see how much I lose? Or should I make a more concerted effort?

    I'm aiming for around 1900 calories a day (breastfeeding a 6 month old can burn up to 1,000 a day so I can't go too low) and plan on exercising 4 days a week (more if I can find time).

    I'd love to lose 10lbs by Christmas!

    Advice/encouragement is much appreciated!! So glad they made this forum!!

  • Good job! Why don't you join us in the weekly chat thread and see what the rest of us are doing to lose/maintain weight? There are also all sorts of other threads and I'm sure there's probably one for moms who are breastfeeding that you can also check out.

  • Check out our 5# Challenges. 5# are great increments to focus on to keep from being overwhelmed.
