So I have been slightly MIA this past week, sorry guys - but at least I have been on-track! Last week was so-so exercise-wise, in that I did it, but just wasn't "feeling it"....do you ever have those "off" days? That was frustrating, but by Friday my workouts were falling back into place. I did spinning yesterday morning and I am FEELING IT today!

I admit, the time I usually spend on 3FC over the weekend was replaced with trying on lots of my clothes that fit sooo much better. I can actually wear my tops tucked into my skirts now! It's almost like having a new wardrobe because everything just looks 100% better than before.

I also had somewhat of a "realization" a few days ago....I always feel like my legs are fat, or too big for my body, and looking down I always see my calves as fat. My parents kept saying that it was all in my head, and I didn't believe them - "Oh, they're just saying that because they're my parents and they have to." Well, while I was trying on my old skirts, it just hit me - my legs are not fat at all! In fact, they're pretty thin/muscular! My thighs are still a little bigger than I would like, but I am still a work in progress.... it's just interesting how we have one image of our bodies from which we seldom stray, and when others tell us differently we can't accept it.

I have a challenge coming up this week, and am trying to plan ahead for it NOW...I'm going out to dinner with some friends on Thursday, which is a feat in itself...but we will be going back to their house for dessert, since they are bakers and make the most AMAZING desserts (chocolate cake ) ever. There is no way they'll let me slide by just "tasting," and honestly I want to have my cake and eat it too so I figure Wednesday and Friday will be light-eating, no-dessert days, and Friday will be an INTENSE-workout day!!

What's going on with everyone this week??

Forgot to add: I weighed myself Saturday and the numbers read 107.5lbs (woohoo!); haven't weighed since then, but might make Wednesday a weigh-in day to remind myself before Thursday that I have to stay on track!!

Hey there,
Way to go Kimberly!

I haven't really been around much over the last couple of weeks, and to be honest, I really haven't been on plan either. My wedding is September 5, so I'm just a few weeks out. I've been trying to get ready for a month in Europe, which has been lots of fun prepping for, but also taking a lot of my energy.

I'm still hovering between 141 and 142, and I'm thinking I might just decide to maintain here since it seems like this is where my body really wants to be. I want to be at a weight that I can maintain comfortably. Not that the weight loss journey wasn't enlightening, but I don't want to feel obsessed with what I'm putting my mouth for the rest of my life in order to maintain.

Maybe after the wedding and honeymoon I'll feel differently, but for now, I think I'm just going to be happy where I am.

I hope you all have a great week!

Kimberly, really glad you're feeling better about your body and starting to see just how well you have done! I say eat the cake and enjoy it

Silver I bet you're going to look beautiful for your wedding at 142, and if you feel comfortable where you are then leaving it be for a while seems like a good plan.

Me - life has been ridiculously difficult of late. It doesnt really help that I have nothing to do on a daily basis and I seem to have gone seperate ways from all of my friends so it's soo hard not to eat constantly. But here I am on day 14 binge-free & on-plan. The big 1 8 is also looming, and as well as it being my b/day it is also my neice's 4th. Everybody seems to be wanting to take me for meals and of course there will be many sweets and cakes for my neice so it feels like I have no control over the thing. I guess if I can get through that I can totally prove to myself I'm gonna do this.

Anyway, hope you all have a wonderful week

I had a weekend that involved two dinners out, so looks like I won't be winning the featherweight challenge this week. D'oh! Oh well; I'm back on plan today. I need to get better with weekends!

I have three days left of my internship here in San Jose. Then I'll be going home to Santa Rosa for a couple of days, and on Saturday I fly back to New York for fall semester. So I have a busy week ahead, but I should be able to stay on plan for the most part (then again there's at least one more dinner out this week with a friend). Once I get back on campus it will be more challenging to eat healthy, but since I'm really committed to this this time I think it will be easier than in the past. I hope....

I really can't say what my problem is. I've started at the gym and I look forward to going each day for my 1 hour + workout. My diet itself is pretty much on plan. Yet my weight won't budge. I've decided to go back to fitday and start posting each and every morsel that goes in my mouth. I need to drop a couple pounds before I head back to see the doctor in a month! I need to be back to where I was 2 years ago. And that featherweight challenge? I'd only win if it allowed you to GAIN 2 pounds!

Ugh I just wrote another post and it got deleted!!! anyways.....

I just got back from a baseball game that my team at work attended. Despite all of the fried foods, hot dogs, ice cream, etc. at the stadium, I bought a turkey wrap for lunch (with veggies, mustard, and no mayo ) and brought my own fruit from home to snack on.

Also, over the weekend I used my birthday $$ on a new pair of running shoes and inserts. They did the stride analysis on me and it turns out I overpronate so the extra support for my feet should help straighten out my stride. My plan is to exercise while I am abroad in Spain by running on the university's track/throughout the campus, since it is a cheap and easy way to both stay healthy and explore the area!

Where is everyone??

Weight was 107lbs this morning but I still feel like I have a little more than 2lbs to lose before I am where I want to be....so I changed my goal from 105 to 103.

I saw an old friend from high school yesterday and she commented that I look slimmer! I was surprised she could tell (and then you think, well how bad did I really look? )....it was kinda funny because I was only wearing clothes I had bought in high school (which I now fit back into better, thankyouverymuch).

Had a "curveball" thrown at me yesterday while @ work....a co-worker brought in a big cake to eat after one of our presentations/meetings. I was hungry, it WAS homemade.....and also super sugary. It's interesting that my taste buds don't go for the sweet stuff any more! Which is why I had about half my piece, and threw the rest in the trash....wanted to save my calories for today

Overall things aren't too bad except that yesterday I found out I have 2 cavities And I am religious about brushing/flossing!! annoying. Plus I am trying to wear contact lenses instead of glasses and NOTHING my eye doctor has given me has worked...

I've been going to the gym religiously but haven't seen any change in the scale. My body is certainly changing, though. I can feel muscles that haven't been used for years so that much is good! I have to continue logging my food in fitday--I should do it BEFORE I eat rather than after so I know just how much I CAN eat. I went over a couple days ago...
