Good morning everyone. It's raining here  I know I shouldn't complain about our weather but yuck!

Allison-hope you have a great visit with your mother and she continues to improve. Happy birthday to her.

Dagmar-I found your blog. Can't wait to read it.

Not much going on here. Still working lots of overtime. The tennis season is starting up (at the high school level for my son) so that will take up a lot of my time. I don't mind though. My son is a senior so this is the last year and then we will be empty nesters with alot of free time :fr: we won't know how to act!

I was up 1 lb. this week but totally deserved :o so I will get that off by my next weigh in.

Ok, gotta run. It's basically my only day off (and I have to go to sleep by 6 pm to get some rest for work at midnight) and I have a few things I need to do (exercise, laundry, grocery shopping) but I'm feeling a little lazy :s:

Talk to you later. Jane

I was taking what should have been a 40 minute flight from Boston to NYC this morning... should have been in by 7 AM. Instead, I was on the plane at 6, but due to crazy delays and whatnot, didn't get back till 2:30 PM! The weather is absolutely horrendous in the Northeast.

Dagmar, I read through your blog and love it so far - will be making more comments on the actual posts :)

HI there
Thanks for asking!
This week I plan on walking nearby trails and now that a snowstorm has struck- I am shoveling snow and clearing a path. Other than this I am hosting a tea party for my aunts and cousins on Sunday.
diet-wise - make really good choices and trying out a couple of recipes I found in another area of this site.

Glory 87's story relates to us

This is from Glory 87's story.

" It took me 6 months to lose 55 lbs and then another 9 months to lose the last 15 lbs. Weight loss DEFINITELY slowed down as I weighed less!"

Does that not describe all of us perfectly?

Eat like a cat - next weekend

The full idea is in my blog but I'm going to try something different next weekend with my eating - the snacking/grazing principle.

Was going to do it this weekend but I have to plan this a bit more as that's how I'm successful - with advance planning :).

And we have guests this evening, with dinner out and birthday cake  and champagne. Kinda hard to graze on that!

Have a terrific weekend everyone! Spring is coming! Two groundhogs can't be wrong - CAN THEY??? :p

Dagmar :)

Laura - your very long delayed flight sounds like a nightmare! Glad you finally made it safely!

Dagmar - I can't wait to check out the long awaited blog :-)

I had a BAAAD week. Lots of STRESS... little sleep... minimal exercise... lots of crap food... up 3 lbs!!!! Argh... back on the horse... back on the horse!!!!

I had a huge run in with popcorn yesterday. Sat up watching ridiculous TV until midnight.

However ... today is a beautiful sunshining day here. We went grocery shopping and bought fabulous foods. I have a pot of chili brewing. Yes, it's a better day all around.

I find I can't eat more than about a bag and a half of popcorn (390 cals.). And we get the one with the least calories. It has the least appeal, of course, but maybe that's why I can only eat about a bag and a half.

Definitely! I've been working on the last five lbs for over a year now!

bargoo 02-24-2008 08:14 AM

I thought I would never lose the final ten, but I finally did. I was actually surprised (and happy) when I stepped on the scale and saw I was at goal. Persistence is the answer, do not give up.

Mudpie 02-24-2008 12:33 PM

Congratulations!

WHOO HOO bargoo! :carrot:

Thanks Dagmar! :D Like some others it took me forever! It took me 1 1/2 years to lose 30 lbs. and then another couple of years to lose 8!!!! Slow and steady wins the race, I guess.
Good luck on your grazing. That is how I eat every day. People are always commenting that I'm eating all the time!

The sun is finally out here. It's been raining (again) for a couple of days. I know I'm a weather wimp.

Hope everyone is having a nice, relaxing OP weekend. Talk to you next week. Jane
