Default A Yummy Discovery!

I picked up these President's Choice Blue Menu Lentil and Bean veggie patties at the grocery store the other day, and had one for dinner tonight topped with black bean/corn salsa...YUM. Wow...they are fantastic. They are made with basmati rice and curry, and are just fantastic if you like Indian food. Only 170 Calories and 2g of fat!

I don't know if you can get PC products in the states...but for those of you in Canada, I highly recommend them!!!!!

Those are good! They have a few different veggie burgers. I also really like the portobello mushroom and swiss cheese patties.

Are they frozen? How would you guys rig them so that you could take them to work for lunch?

In states Trader Joes carries a masala burger that is made out of potatoes and other vegetables and has indian spices. It is just like what we call vegetable cutlets back home (I am from India!).

It is frozen. I take a patty and take it to work. It thaws by around lunch time. I just toast it in the toaster oven at work.

Wink I use the cigarette lighter

in my car to plug in a teeny tiny toaster oven. No, seriously I can't take them in my car for lunch. We just BBQ 'em like other burgers for dinner. Use different condiments though - usually chutney, tomato, hot pickles, etc.

They thaw much more quickly than meat burgers so if you take one with you you can toaster oven them. They're quite gross in the microwave - do NOT recommend.

I cook them the night before/morning before work on the stove...then either eat them cold or stick them in the microwave (although I guess Dagmar is against this!)

I've had the portobello and swiss ones as well - they're yummy too!!
