could be water retention if you ate alot of sodium in the past few days. for some people the scale doesn't move for a few days. Ypu did not gain 4 pounds of fat overnight. Is it close to TOM. With TOM comes water retention i can go up to 6 pounds.

water water water

No, it is not possible to gain 4 lbs of fat overnight. That would mean you ate 16000 calories yesterday (14000 for 4 lbs + 2000 for living). Truthfully, I dont think your body would absorb 14000 extra calories I think you would be sick as a dog!

Briza -- It's only water retention, specially if TOM is near, for some stupid reason our female bodies like to do that... Like ennay said: water, water, water..... drink your water...

I also gained 4 lbs since last night. I am back up to my orginal weight of 138lbs. Yesterday 2 lbs were added and this morning 4!!!! I felt fat when I woke up I am really bloated though. I dont have TOM anymore but flucuations happen alot for me. I am not counting it till next week. Maybe I should try staying off the scale and just weighing in on Mondays !!!! Easy GO easy COME!!!!

It's probably water weight, so don't freak out. If 1 lb=3,500 calories, then you would have had to consume 14,000 calories yesterday in order to put on 4 lbs of fat. Not very likely.
