Also egg white & veggie omelets, oatmeal with fruit, and the occasional bowl of cold cereal--it usually kicks off a day of cravings though, so it's not often that I have that! Yum! I wish it was breakfast again!

Breakfast is my favourite too! I OFTEN eat it again for lunch and sometimes supper when I'm lazy or alone at home... My fav is oatmeal with soy milk and an eggwhite omelette...

1-1-2 TBSP Natural Peanut Butter

...better go, time to make my breakfast!

Ooh, that sounds good!! I'll have to try that!

For the last 4 months, I've been having 2 pieces of whole wheat toast with a thin layer of Smart Balance Light buttery spread with Omega 3, and a piece of fruit (I vary the fruit... this week, it's grapefruit! yum! )

However, it doesn't fill me up until lunch. I usually eat at 7am, and I start getting hungry again about 10am, so I eat another piece of fruit until it's time to eat lunch. I've yet to find the "healthy" breakfast that fills me up until lunch. I've tried oatmeal, high fiber cereals, etc... but I always get hungry within 3-4 hours. The only way I don't get hungry is to eat eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles.... you get the idea :)

I like to mix it up. This week I've had the following:

1 cup Trader Joes High Fiber Fruit and Nut cereal with 3/4 cup light vanilla soy milk (180 cals, approx)

1 cup cooked oatmeal with 2 tbsp of raisins and 1/4 cup light vanilla soy milk (200 cals, approx)

and my absolute FAVORITE (but ridiculously hard to find), an Alternative Bagel (I love them SOOOOO much. High fiber, high protein bagel-y goodness that tastes like a normal bagel and only has 110 calories!) with 3 egg whites, a laughing cow wedge, and some deli turkey slices (215 cals)

Fiber One w/nonfat vanilla soy has been my mainstay these days, but it does get a bit monotonous (admitedly). It does keep me feeling full for so much longer than anything else though. I get breakfast @ 9am and my lunch hour starts @ 2pm! It keeps me from going berserk.

When I want something warm though, (or if I'm already making a grand slam style breakfast for my son) I'll eat 2 egg whites, 2 veggie sausage links with salsa in one of those 'carb balance' tortillas. With the salsa you can't really tell the sausage is meatless.
So much better than regular breakfast burritos! I'm baised though as I've never really liked classic breakfast burritos (had the oil from the sausage or bacon congeal in a cooled one once and just couldn't eat them anymore, sorry that was gross). :p

But if my picky toddler is stealing bites you know it's got to be good.
