Hi -
I think w/ the canned soups you would be ok if it is all veggies and there is not too much sodium (thats the problem I have found with most) or artificial additives. No thickeners should be in the ingredients or added sugar. I also love the mozzarella flavored veggie shreds....they are great for topping off vegetarian chili or soup. I find that making my own soup is very easy and so much better than canned. I use tomato juice in the can (make sure it doesn't have added salt or sugar), low sodium veggie broth, low sodium chicken stock. Of course this is for a very large pot but I can eat on it for 3 or 4 days for lunch and dinner. I add pretty much any veggie I have - squash, zucchini, asparagus, onion, corn, carrots, celery - whatever. I also add brown rice to mine to help thicken it up. I am not a fan of tofu but I find if I crumble it up in the soup, I can't even tell it is in there and it helps me get my protein. Good luck! Lem
