Default Tina on Celeb Fit Club

Did anyone else see the one page write up on Tina Yothers that I think was in People magazine?

She had a before and after picture but said she was doing Nutrisystem combined with the workouts. She didn't mention the Fat Smash at all. I was a little disappointed to read that and wondered if she had followed Fat Smash for the entire show or switched over towards the end. It's really more of a curriousity thing more than anything else. I was pleased to read that she and Carnie have become close and use each other for support.

I saw that she did Nutrisystem too. I think that the celebs had an option in which weight loss strategy they chose. Some of them used a different LA-based food delivery service too. I do think that the show should have stated which plans each Celeb was on.

Her and Carnie were my favorite. I was wondering though if they all did fat smash. I would have wanted to do a different plan, so it would be intesting to see whose plan each person was on.

I did notice that they never said exactly what they were doing to lose weight except in little bits and pieces during the show. That makes sense now...I guess it might be good that the show wasn't made into a long infomericial for one specific diet. Still, you're right, it would be nice to know what they did.

Speaking of Tina - I missed that write up in PEOPLE, I was impressed with her the most simply because I could identify with her starting weight, the fact that she had a baby, etc etc. The thing I did not understand, she said she went from a size 18 to a size 6? By dropping 60 pounds? I was confused, what was her final weigh in? On the VH1 website they don't mention POUNDS, so it was confusing for me to see what her actual weight was through out.
Wish I read that article! I can't find anything about her and was really impressed with her.

Hi,
here is what I found by doing a search. It isn't much. But, it does say how much she lost.

Her starting weight was 193 if my memory serves. They showed their weigh ins each time. At the end of the show they showed the morph.. that was cool.

Tina lost 41 pounds while on Fit Club 4. 10 pounds were lost for the last weigh in, much more than she had to, mainly because she was trying to win the car.

I guess I'm still confused, I'm sorry. If she lost 41 pounds, how does that take you from a size 18 to a size 6? So she must have gone from 152? That's the part that I did not understand. I weighed 135 when I got married, and in the 140s with first pregnancy. And I was in an 8 then a 10... I want to know where she buys her size 6's! Thanks for the link to the PEOPLE article, I'm going to check it out!

Yeah I dont believe the sizes that celebrities say they are cause its crap when I was at a healthy weight I wore a 11 and im 5'8 same as tina and was same weight as her now saying shes a 8 and I have to say shes got more hip them me too! I havent worn a 8 since I was 13 and I weighed about 125 at 5'8 and that calculation on a bmi chart if I dropped to 124 I would be underweight! Dont let this get you down hollywood is fake!!!

Chiming in - this is a HOT-button topic for me. Sizes have changed SO much in the past 20 years and vanity sizing has just gone completely overboard.

When I graduated from high school in 1990, I weigh 152 - and I'm only 5'4". The absolute smallest thing I could fit myself into was a 12 - and I was VERY well-proportioned.

Today, I see women weighing more than 170 claiming to wear size 8. Sizes just don't mean anything concrete anymore. Its all a mind game.

It also depends on WHERE you carry your weight. I am at 200 on a good day, am 5'8" and wear a 14/16 shirt and a 16 pant. I am all hips and the pants are too baggy everywhere else. I am big boobed so I will be in xl shirts forever I think....

Jenn I so hear you - I'm losing weight, I know (my weigh in day is tomorrow) but I was just complaining today - my button up shirt is baggy all over - except I still have to pin the dang thing closed in front!
