Phase 2 question...what cold cereals.

  • Hey I was wondering what types of cold cereals we can have in P 2. I've got some crunchy cravings, lol. Thanks

  • The book says: cold, unsweetned 1 1/2 cups a day. Hot cereal 1/2 cup per day.

    Farina/Cream of Wheat

    Bran Flakes
    Life
    Rice Crispies
    Puffed Rice
    Puffed Wheat
    Shreaded Wheat
    Wheaties
    Special K
    Chex
  • I'm actually surprised at some of the allowed cereals since there are so many others that are better than Rice Krispies, for example. Puffins & Kashi are two types that I would personally include on the list. I will be adding my beloved Grape Nuts when I'm on Phase II. Has much more fiber than many of the listed cereals.
  • I think he wrote the book a bit ago -- Kashi is JUST on the market in a lot of places.

    My bet once I get there (I don't care for cold cereal really) is going to be to look at and compare labels. The least sugar and more fiber the better
  • I love Kashi cereals too. Most of them have 3 ingredients!! Thanks for the list too. That will help a ton in deciding. At least I know I can satisfy my crunchy cravings
