No Rice- Extra Oatmeal??

  • I was just thinking I have not been eating my daily rice. There are some days I dont even eat the rice. So I was wondering, on the days I dont eat any rice, do you think an extra serving of oatmeal would be ok? I know calorie wise there very close. Thanks ladies
  • I would say no.

    You don't HAVE to have rice. You can, but you don't have to. I would stick to the serving size of oatmeal that is alloted. It may cause a gain!
  • I believe this plan is quite flexible but you don't want to abuse it. Seems like you're already on Day 4 so maybe you'd want to at least wait until the end of detox to start getting creative.

    On the other hand, if you are still feeling hungry or you need more grain in order to stick with detox, then you might want to add that oatmeal serving in lieu of a rice serving. Unfortunately, if you haven't weighed yet since you shouldn't until the end of Phase I, you won't really know the effect this might have on your weight loss.

    Personally, I feel it shouldn't have any effect since the grains are similar enough. Please note, I'm new here & don't want to throw anyone off plan since I always try to stick to plan 100%. However, this is a food that is allowed and is actually lower in calories and higher in fiber (in most cases) than brown rice.
  • Thanks ladies, I kind of thought the same thing....Cant blame me for trying. I guess I will have to start eating some rice..I go in phases(no pun intended)
