Can anyone help me out with these questions?

In my opinion I would avoid the olives and as for the salsa I've used it, but I try to find the sugar free kind. Someone suggested making fresh salsa. And as for vegtable soup, thats what I eat the most of. I make it as least twice a week.

Hey all! Still have a little bit of a hacking cough, but not nearly as bad as last week so I think tomorrow (Monday) I'll try a little running or other cardio so I can really start Phase 1.

Brandilynn, tofu can be wonderful when pressed and marinated, however I suggest you be careful when doing so. Since you've squeezed out all the excess water it soaks up the marinade like a sponge, in a VERY short amount of time. Depending on the mariande you use (ex soy sauce base) it can become overly salty (yuk!) if you leave it in there too long. I find that really well pressed tofu needs only a minute or so per side (about 1/2 inch thick slices). Good luck experimenting w/ marinades! :)

Mellybelly-Thanks for the marinade tip. Glad to see your back and somewhat better. Be carefull with that cough, when I have a cough like that a brisk walk can make me regret it the minute I stop.

I don't know about the olives (darnit!) but I make my own salsa/pico

1 tomato
1/4 red onion, minced or finely chopped
2 limes
dash of salt
lots of fresh ground pepper

It's yummy!
