Default 2 cups brown rice?

Hi
Can anyone tell me what weight 2 cups of brown rice is?
I'm in the uk and dont really measure in cups!
Also is it dry brown rice, or cooked brown rice?
Thanks
Jacquie

2 cups cooked I'm not sure about the dry weight. I usually made up a decent sized batch and stored it in the refrigerator, then measured out a cup at a time for my meals.

I get the uncle bens brand that is prepacked brown rice and you just pop it in the mic for 90 seconds and poof you have two cups of perfectly moist rice!

Hey guys,
At my local grocery store I found a carton of Minute rice that has 2 containers (each 4.4oz) of brown rice. You just pop it into the microwave for 1 minute. It works great for a quick meal to mix with whatever else you want. It is good for those quick meals if you don't have the time to cook or if you didn't prepare enough the previous meal.
