Default Guaranteed weight loss

I know no diet can promise you'll lose weight but I thought I read somewhere that the fat smash says you'll lose 10 lbs in 9 days or something like that? I have the book and don't see anything like that. Can someone please help me? Also I"m curious how much ppl lost in general when doing phase 1.

I lost about approx 9 lbs in phase one, but it varies greatly. But I don't see how there is anyway if you follow the plan that you wouldn't lose any weight. It all depends too on how much you have to lose too.

I don't know about "guaranteed" weight loss, but when I was reading the Amazon reviews, a lot of people mentioned they lost about 9-10 lbs. during phase 1. I had mentioned that in another post so maybe that's what you saw. I just weighed in today and saw I lost 7 lbs in 9 days! Originally I wanted to lose 10, but I am happy with 7 now! Hope this helps!

hot mama I think it may have been your post!

7 lbs is great. I hope that happens to me!! But what about the starchy veggies. Can you really eat sweet potato? I'm so used to the low carb mentality that I am afraid of things like sweet potato and banana but if I am not having meat or bread substitute I will need stuff like that to fill me up.

Well I'm startinmg today and planning to make a smoothie for breakfast and will have salad for lunch and I made asweet potato and carrot dish for dinner with broccoli on the side. I hope I can do this.

lol! Sorry about that! I know you can do it especially if I can! You can have sweet potatos, I haven't had any yet just because I'm lazy and I don't like to cook. lol! I've been getting full off of oatmeal, bananas, yogurt, rice cakes, Boca Burgers, and my favorite..those steam bag veggies!! I love "Asian Medley" and I like the cauliflower cuz they are seasoned already! A whole bag fills me up! I also have been eating natural applesauce just as a quick snack if I just need to grab something and go. I eat a pretty big breakfast:

2 yogurts
2 bananas
2 cups of applesauce (w/ cinnamon)
1 cup of oatmeal

I don't get many breaks at work so I try to make it last till my lunch time! I've never gone hungry on this diet though and I just finished Phase 1 which is supposed to be the hardest part!

hotmama that is a REALLY big breakfast!!
Well this morning I didn;t eat until 11 which is really bad. But I had soy milk (chocolate mint) and 1/4 of a cantaloupe. Very filling but then 1hr and 45 minutes later I felt a bit of hunger pangs so i had a banana and now I am feeling a bit hungry again and it has only nbeen an hour since I ate the banana? Am I crazy? I think I'm going to make sweet potato fries for lunch and then for dinner I am set. I hope I can do this!

Yeah girl, that's how I have to do it! That's what I like about this diet is that there are no limits to how many fruits and veggies you eat, just don't over eat. I'm content with all of that. I know I couldn't just eat a banana for breakfast and be done...I have to get to the point where I am satisfied and not thinking about food or watching every minute go by till my next meal. My lunch is no where near that big though. It would be a bag of those veggies and that would be it till I got home!

DLISh what phase are you in? Go to the recipe page and check otu the recipes for some idea. Truthfully I hardly ate fruit in phase 1. I eat alot more veggies and soy products than i do fruit.

Hello to all. Question. If you sleep in and wake up about noon. And normally you eat meal 1 at 9 and meal 2 at 12. do we skip meal 1 or do we start meal 1 from the time we wake up. so far i have been trying to wake up at the same time everyday its just in the weekend that i wake up later at times.
