Default Shopping List?

My boyfriend and I will be starting the FS on Monday, July 16 and I have to go buy all new groceries on Sunday. Does anyone having a shopping list or just some ideas of what I need to buy, so I am not totally lost when I get to the grocery store?

Thanks!

I highly recommend Boca Burgers - I like the Flame Grilled flavor but there are other flavors. These are totally meatless ... and actually taste really good especially when eaten with steamed vegs.

I tried the tofu hotdogs - they are okay but I don't care for the texture .. but if you eat them with steamed vegs, the texture isn't so obvious ... and they are very filling.

That's what I've found so far.

Lots of vegetables and fruit (but no pineapple or watermelon), brown rice, oatmeal, lean meats and lowfat yogurt.

Hi…this is my second time on FS phase 1 first time was awhile back. Anyways, you can’t have any meat whatsoever until Phase 2 so I don’t recommend you getting any meat unless you plan on storing it in your freeze. I just started phase 1 today and this is what I would recommend:

All your seasonings that you normally like plus Mrs. Dash Table Blend (to reduce your salt intake) also Molly McButter its pretty good.

Fresh Veggies:
Lettuce, Cucumbers, Celery, Broccoli, Mushrooms, Tomatoes (like Roma firm ones cuz they are sweet) Fresh Corn on the Cob, Onions, Sweet Potatoes (great French fry recipe for these), Any other kind of Veggie ya like jus NO White or Red Potatoes or Avocadoes

All the Fruit you like but No Raisins or Dates or Preserved Fruit…I love cantaloupe early in the day cuz its not sooo citrus-y also fresh cherries are yummy nice change from apples and oranges and bananas. Also strawberries for your smoothies and snacks

Also something cool to get is frozen fruit for your snacks really nice in this summer heat.

Pam Olive Oil Non-Stick Spray
and regular Olive Oil

I would get lots of beans too…I got canned beans jus look to make sure its low in sodium/salt.

I didn’t like Brown Rice but I kinda of adjust FS a lil by getting Success Brand 10 minute Whole Grain Brown Rice in various flavors (except don’t get the cheese broccoli flavor to far off course for FS) but the others are very delicious and pretty inline with FS. One thing though is if you do get them I recommend only using 1 teaspoon instead of 1 tablespoon. Tastes jus the same really.

Couple of Cartons of Egg Whites

Any Low Fat Salad Dressings

Lots of Light or Non Fat Yogurt (I get plain so I can make stuff with it and flavored ones too)

Low Fat or Skim Milk or Soy Milk

Also, I like getting Celestial Seasonings Fruit Sampler 5 Herb Teas…They are so easy to make and really all the flavors in there are sooo good…this way you get a nice varied.

Oh and here’s a lil tip for ya…there’s really wonderful recipes in this area of FS Forum.

Good Luck Smash’n and I hope I helped ya out a lil

Thanks Igordy! This is going to help me sooo much. I am going to print this out and take it with me when I go to the grocery store.

I had another question. Can you use fat free milk instead of low-fat milk? Also how do you make you weight time line be on the bottom of every post? I made one, but I don't want to have to go and copy and paste it on to every post that I do.

THANKS!!!

Hi ya Rachel,

Glad its gonna help y'all out...now about the tracker really easy...on the top of any page in 3fatchicks theres a navigation bar. the first button says "User CP" stands for User Control Panel...anyways click on it then on the left hand side click on "edit signature" then there is step by step on how to enter it...(scroll down to the bottom of the page and paste the formula) hope that helps ya out...oh a lil tip for ya > once in edit signature area put your curser/mouse over the lil chick on the blue checker tracker and right click then select open in new window. then create your new tracker and copy it and then while you've kept the "edit signature" page still open scroll down to the bottom of page and paste it in the box then select preview or save which ever ya wanna do....good luck hope I was helpful and remember keep smash'n!!!

Liz
