Default I can do anything for 9 days, right?

I've been cutting back, doing my own thing and looking for a "program" to follow for the past two weeks (lost 8 pounds in the process!) I've decided on FS, and since I was sick of waiting on the library reserve list, I went out and bought my copy this evening to start smashing tomorrow. NOW I understand what everyone means about the guy needing a proofreader! It sure would be helpful to see a sample eating plan -- not just a schedule of times to eat and the allowed/not allowed lists. Oh well, with all its literary flaws, this still seems a sensible plan, so tomorrow is day 1 of Phase 1 for me. I packed my meals/snacks for work and I'm ready to get this party started!

Good luck to you! I'm just finishing day 6 & I won't lie, it's hard at the very beginning. BUT...If I made it through that, anyone can. I've been known to give up quite easily in the past & I stuck to it. Like you said....it's only 9 days! You can do anything for 9 days.

Thanks, Shell. Breakfast wasn't too bad! I feel like I packed A LOT of food to eat, so hopefully I can stay away from the M & M's jar in my boss' office (one of my major downfalls -- but that's why I started THIS week and not last week during my period!)

Good luck on resisting those M&M's!! It's so easy to say, "Oh, one won't hurt..." but you know what? A friend of mine gave me one wrapped Starburst yesterday after dinner. It would have been so easy to just say, "Oh, just one won't hurt.." but I just as easily said, "Eehh, I don't need it." and passed it along to my husband. I'm on Day 2 of Detox and I did get a little sick yesterday, but I think I'm doing well so far. Good luck, let's root each other on!!
