I've been enjoying reading this particular section of 3FC. I'm excited to embark on a new journey come Monday (have to pick up a few more things from the store). I've been trying to lose weight for a LONG time now, and so far, I lack major discipline. I realised in the past couple of weeks that I am soon to be 30. My goal is to lose 30 by 30. I've been VERY into my exercise the past couple of weeks and my weight has been weighing heavily on my mind. I am currently 194 and my first goal has been 170. My goal to reach my 30x30 is 165. My overall ending goal is 150. If I can drop below that- GREAT, but 150 is a place I'll be happy at!!!
Hello, I am currently on day 3 of P1, and I have found that it is MUCH easier then I thought it would be. I thought I would be starving, but I'm not even hungry! My one suggestion would be to remember to eat a little something every couple of hours.
Good Luck!
This is the easiest program I've found, and I've tried many. To add to Cindy, another thing which has really helped is that I don't beat myself up if I mess up a bit. In the past, I've always gotten off track and just given up the whole thing. I've found that it's much easier to jump back on the wagon with FS than other plans. Good luck!
THNX so much! I'm really looking forward to this and have been gunning myself up for 3 days now. I've even talked to Hubba about it, which isn't something I usually do when I statr a new plan. He's on board as far as supporting me and such. Most plans I've looked at, I just don't think they'd work for me, but this one I looked at and thought- I CAN DO THIS ONE!!!. I've got a GREAT recipe for taco style lentils and rice which I found at Hillbilly Housewife- a frugal site with recipes. The only change to that is I can't add cheese in P1. But then I've found hummus which I love and is P1 friendly.
I have to run to the store now, to complete my P1 inventory. *pumps self up*
Hello everyone. I'm a newbie. I'm on day 3 of PI. Hasn't been too bad so far. I just really miss coffee and cheese! I tried south beach last year, and so far I like FS so much better. Hope this diet works. I have to shed some pounds before my wedding in November!
Good luck to everyone!
Did anyone get headaches from lack of coffee? That's my biggest worry, but I feel if I have to drink a cup of coffee a day to prevent headaches, it's still a LOT better than going full force with my current dietary issues!
I cut back to one cup of coffee for the first 2 days, then day 3 I decided not to have any coffee. Last night (day 3) I had a very bad headache. I woke up this morning still having a little bit of a headache. I don't know how long caffeine withdrawl lasts, but I hope it ends soon!!
THNX blue! I usually like *at least* 5 cups of coffee a day (yes, I said 5), but have been trying to wean down the past few days. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one that may still do some coffee during P1.
I was also a "5 cup a day" girl. it's very hard for me to give up my coffee. It's usually the first thing I go to in the morning. I still have a bit of a headache, but it's not nearly as bad as it was last night. I was reading up on caffeine withdrawl, and most people said it only last a few days. I think I can do it!
Good luck with starting FS tomorrow! I'm on day 4. I'm just counting down the days till I can have a cup of coffee!!
In about 12 hours, I will be drinking unsweetened herbal tea, eating oatmeal made with skim milk 'n cinnamon & some strawberries. I'm very nervous now. I have been for a couple of hourse. I was SOOOOOO excited to start that I almost started today. But now I'm all fluttery-tummied.
Good luck with day 1! It sounds like you are prepared, so you should have no problem sticking to the diet.
Today is day 5 for me, and I got on the scale and lost 5 pounds!! I'm so excited! My fiance is also doing this diet with me, and he lost 5 pounds so far too! woo hoo!!
