Hello all this is just another weekly support for those of us doing the NON-extreme Fatsmash diet but everyone is welcom here. I just noticed that all though both diets are Fatsmash they seem a little different and may raise different question.
I will be starting FS tomorrow. I went to the grocery store and I cooked a big pot of lentil soup and I made the recipe of creole rice and beans that I found here on the recipe thread. So I should be prepared. I sort of over ate today with the thought in the back of my mind that I will be dieting tomorrow. Anyone starting tomorrow or has already started good luck and have a great day.
Well, I just ate my first FS food item... Egg Whites with sauteed mushrooms and a banana. Needless to say, I hope I don't get all frantic because I NEED COFFEE! Oh man. I need it so bad. I loveeeee it. I wannnnnnt it!

Oh, I know what I wanted to ask, is there any threads where folks are posting their daily menus? I just need to get an idea of what others are doing so that I don't mess up...Cause I can't afford to start from scratch all over again
Starting over again today... I did the fat smash phase 1 once but when I got to phase 2 it was hard to stick to because you got to add more food. I lost 10 lbs the first time though so I'm excited. This time my hubby and my mom are doing it with me as well so hopefully the support will help me.

I'm soooooooo glad I'm not the only one having to fight the urge to get my coffee fix. I feel like I can't function without it. It's all my husbands fault. lol I didn't even drink coffee before I got married. I figured that I'd be fine without it since he's out of town for 6 weeks training new Air Force Officers wanna bes. Not the case. I smelled the bag of beans this morning!!! I haven't seen any threads with daily menus but I'm looking too so if you find one let me know. Thanks. Off to class I go.
Hey fellow fat smashers. Just checking in with everyone. How is everyone doing today so far? So far I haven't been hungry. For Breakfast I had 3 egg whites scrambled with 1 tbsp salsa and 1/2 cup low fat milk. For snack I had a low fat yogurt and a banana. So far drinking a lot of water trying to fill me up. Lunch is going to be 1 cup brown rice and creole beans. Will check in with everyone's progress later on. Keep on Smashing!!!

Chyone74...I don't know if there is a thread for menu posting but maybe we can start one. Try to be strong and fight the coffee urges. I guess its easier said than done. I don't like coffee so I guess I wouldn't understand.
Feeling a little stressed out this morning and really want to eat something forbidden. But this morning for breakfast I had a spinach and egg white omelet it was good but could have been better with some more seasonings. Just checking in with the fellow smashers have a great day.
I am on day 6 of the detox phase and haven't cheated at all. I haven't even allowed myself to crave any forbidden foods. I just know that if I cheat I will have to go back to day 1 and I perish that thought.
I know I wasn't supposed to weight myself till day 10, but I did today at the gym and I came in at 157.5 which is 6 pounds down from before the diet. I couldn't believe it!!! My goal is to get down to 146.
Anywho, for breakfast today I had 3 egg whites with some salsa, for snack I had a banana, and for lunch I had a giant salad with 3 tbs of lite dressing. For dinner I plan on having my mock fried rice. mmm, I could live off of that stuff.

Just wondering how you make your "fried rice". I've been making mine with brown rice, egg whites, peas and carrots. Mostly because that was one of my favorite breakfasts from the galley when I was in the Navy. They used white rice and whole eggs but mine is close. It's been great for dinner though because I prefer grits in the morning. Thanks.
Hi, I'm doing EFS, mostly because the other book wasn't at the store when I went looking.......I did Phase 1 and lost 8.8, then sort of wandered away during Phase II, so now I'm doing Phase I again. The coffee thing may just be a deal breaker, so I'm just trying to not drink so much. I cannot do without my early am fix (3 cups) but so far I am managing not to have more during the day.
As for the food, it does get dull. BUT I find I am losing that little "Oooh" about food, more fuel now than entertainment. Eating something every 2-3 hours is a huge help. Trying to think of it like medication, you know? The other thing I'm doing is trying to find something else to do for my lunch break, something that feels like a break, a treat. So I've been having my diet pop and reading in a park somewhere. At least it feels like I got away from work for a time, and I loooove to read.
I guess this is all about replacing old habits with new, huh?

OOOOOOOO weeee how do we make fried rice? I need to know how to cook it! Do you boil the brown rice first and then stir fry it with the veggies?

I am curious to know what everyone is eating for breakfast. I need some suggestions. I don't like oatmeal, grits or cream of wheat. So I have been having egg whites for the past 2 days and today I had a smoothie except I cheated and added an envelope of No Sugar Added Carnation Instant Breakfast. I don't think that is allowed but I needed something quick. Can't wait till we can have cereal! I love cereal! I cheated and weighed myself last night and I lost .4 lbs...LOL. I 'll take it! its a loss no matter how small.

THANKS! I'll check out the recipe because I just gotta see how they are making 'fried' rice! That's the bomb! For breakfast, I have been sticking with my egg whites with veggies inside it and salsa on the top. That's gets me through until my first snack. I can't do the oatmeal, but I will try a smoothie maybe tomorrow. I haven't been drinking the soy milk allotment because I forget everyday It's kinda hard getting everything in within one day, but so far, I have NOT been hungry and I haven't cheated!!!
