Hey everyone! I just started the Fat Smash Diet today and am thrilled to see there is an online forum discussing it.
A little about me and my weight loss:
I have a history of eating disorders and a slew of body image issues that I hope I will overcome by following this plan. I stopped starving myself about a year and a half ago, and gained around fifty pounds in the span of six months (a majority of that weight piled on within three or four.) Once I put on the weight, I was completely baffled over how to lose it. I'm the type of person who needs direction and guidelines to stick with something, so the Fat Smash Diet is pretty close to perfect for me. I already do plenty of physical activity (twenty miles on my bike five days a week, pilates 3 times a week, 10 minutes of abs exercises every day), so I'm hoping the exercise combined with the diet as per the plan's guidelines will help me finally shed some of this weight!
I'm currently 5'6" and weigh about 175. I have a medium-large bone structure. I'm not obese, but I'm definitely overweight. I'm very healthy and in relatively good physical shape, which is a plus. My immediate goal is to get down to 155 (so that I won't be overweight anymore) and my long-term goal is to weigh around 135, though I'll settle for weighing more than that as long as I can fit my "thin clothes" (I have a whole closet full of clothes that I can't wear but refuse to part ways with! I've been wearing the same 5 outfits in rotation because I'm vain AND cheap and refuse to buy "fat clothes.")
