Default Just want to get started!

I keep gaining, and that upsets me. I can't exercise right now because I've injured my foot and my shoulders, and I'm in physical therapy. I'm usually exhausted from the pain and the weight gain. Haven't seemed able to get started. Just sitting around eating. Advice please? Thanks in advance.

Hi! I'm new to here also. But I lost 25 lbs since last June when I started on Atkins. Have you ever tried Atkins? It really works, you lose your appetite pretty quickly as well as your weight. I also belong to ediets.com. It's a great program, they have all sorts of diets and forums and challenges, etc. You really need to pick a diet to start with. If you want to join up there, email me and I'll tell you some details.

i want to lose really bad as well fitchick and i stay at home all the time and i just snack all day long. i'm so tired of gaining weight and i pray about it all the time. i just need a swift kick in the rear or a friend to exercise with. it's hard. i really do want to lose but i'm having problems starting.

I've heard over and over again that a good way to start is just to change one thing at a time, like drinking water rather than soda, or ordering a small hamburger rather than a huge sandwich, fries, and shake at a fast food place. Things like that.

Thanks for suggesting Atkins, but I'm supposed to be limiting some foods due to high cholesterol.
