Good Evening...............
Been a busy day, my husband is off on Thursdays and there always seems to be so much to do, as I write this he is standing on a ladder TRYING to put up our curtain rods, probably so I leave him alone and stop bugging him about getting them up. He's a good guy. Got an early morning phone call my dad was rushed to the hospital this morning, and they believe that he may have had a little stroke, he's 78, but you wouldn"t know it, so my morning has been filled with prayers, and worry. Today was weigh in day for me, it's hard for me to believe that I am actually loosing weight,a pound at a time, but I'll take that pound, so now I am at a total of 15. YEA!!!!!
Gary: Bloomington :) is about 60 miles or so from us. Today your mom is probably freezing along with the rest of us. But it's to get warmer by the week-end. My grandaughter has decieded to try out for a different soccer travel team, she loves the game, but she is a real tiny little thing, gamma tryed to tell her that they all play rough, but whatever keeps her happy. Sunny: So much for our 80s, temps have fallen and we have had heavy rain for the last three days, with more to come tonight, tomorrow and Saturday, I had to move our hanging plants under shelter, they just couldn't take anymore rain, falling on them. Destiny our oldest grandchild(and only grandaughter)loves soccer, she plays on two teams, a rec and a travel team, and is trying out for another travel one next week. I wonder if she knows how to get more hours into a day then I do? Our little guy,(Justin) tags along to play with all the other little brothers and sisters that have to come, sometimes they sit and play church. And it is a very noisy church to say the least. I have no idea if the gazelle is helping me lose the weight or not, I do know I have seen my skin tightening up, and it is easy on my back I have 2 slipped discs form ages ago and sometimes they can cause a lot of pain, and it doesn't seem to bother it to much.As long as it comes off, I'll stick with it. Well friends its time to go , watching the kids tomorrow night and I forgot to buy lemon-ade, so I guess its a lemon-ade run for me, and I have some cross stitching I want to work on, I have been doing it since I have been 8,( not this project haha) and it is truly one of my passions. Have a blessed night. Nancy |
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ion20hello.gif Hello my friends... I want to begin by thanking you for your prayers for my DF --- he will be seeing his Dr again tomorrow at 11:00 and then maybe we'll know more. At this point he has been on very strong meds for a long time (I feel too long!) he is diabetic and I often wonder how carefully he watches his diet. It doesn't take much to make him ill. Anyway, I will keep you informed when I know anything... I have been up every morning at 4:45am and out the door by 5:00 for my walks --- I am walking 2.25 miles each day but Sunday and am up to 17.25 miles for May. I am afraid that I cannot even try to catch up with Margie at the moment ;) Tomorrow I am meeting up with a friend and we'll be out most the day. It's been a long time since we have gone out and spent the day out together (it's my best pals oldest daughter) and I am so looking forward to going. Otherwise, all is well in my corner of the world :flow2: *~*~* Thank-you so much Myisha, It's so hard to watch your parents age... you know. Bless your heart, you have blessed mine :goodvibes Hi Rachel, I am sorry to hear you get so upset, sweets... all you can do is make the best of things and stay in touch with one another, you are from a time when it is so easy to stay in touch (via computers ;) ). I will keep your cousin and your dear friend in my prayers as they venture out on their own. And you in my prayers for acceptance of change... I had to leave my home and family when I was 18 years old and went overseas with my hubby - believe me that was not easy, but we always make it though change when we have Jesus on our side ;) Hi Wilma, Isn't just awesome when the *Sun* pops out! Our weather has been very strange also... up till yesterday we were getting some summer temps. Yesterday it went up to 76* and then in the evening the bottom dropped out and it went to 54*!! This morning when I went for my walk it was 40* Buuuurrrrrr!!!!!!!!!! The sun did pop out today and the storms passed us up, but it only made it to 50* today - to say the least the heater went back on :dizzy: I want summer!!!!! :tantrum: I am so sorry to hear that things have gotten stressful :stress: at work again... I will pray for you!!! May things at work become easier real soon! I just read that you had a better day at work the other day... thank goodness look at how fast prayer changes things ;) Hi Margie, I am so very sorry to hear of all the funerals you have gone to lately... I know the feeling - I had about 17 months of funerals - no kidding - 13 friends and family in that amount of time passed away!! My thoughts and prayers are with you. **Woo Hoo** to your DD in making the honor society!! Proud mommy :smug: So Fred brought you some flowers for "Mother's Day" huh... pretty neat! Are you guys going to go on a dinner date or are you just friends right now and you are taking it a day at a time? As you can see... I am a bit behind you at the moment with my miles, I just have so much going on right now and do my best each day ;) And YES... I had a bit more to do in helping out my hubby :smug: I think I will be kept rather busy as long as he is a Choir Director --- he cannot do it alone with a full time job, so he'll need me. I really don't mind helping him out, but it does mean that I cannot be on here as often as I'd like to. As I said... I will do what I am able to, but I won't leave :flow1: Hi Sue, It seems that we are missing one another these days when we post!! When I am 'on' you are 'gone' (I'm a poet and don't know it  ) I am so glad to hear that you are enjoying your camping days again, but I bet that they are COLD at night!!! Have a nice mini camping weekend ;) How did your bowling go? Score BiG!!! :cheer: As for those girls... it's devastating!! That father had a history of arrests and violence --- what was he doing with the girl!!?? What is happening in our world today!?? Well, they are both with our Lord now... Angels for sure! So darn sad  Hi Gary, I am so HAPPY for Amanda!!! I bet she is elated! Benefits and all --- awesome!!!! *A-Idol* I agree with you in the order! It's tough... because Bo is popular - not only for his talents but because of his age. But I really do hope that *Carrie* will WIN this! She has been consistently good every time!! Have you seen the siggy I had made for you yet?? I HOPE you like it :crossed: You are harder to find sigs for being a guy, but I think I may have found another for you --- just waiting for the siggy artist to respond to me, they are very busy right now. Oh... I know... Angie is just watching out for you ;) I was just pulling your leg a bit  Yup... my Joe did good :D He always comes through for me and knows exactly what to do to make me feel special :flow2: As you said... I think we are GOOD for one another - God sure knows what he is doing - He gave me my Joe ;) God knew I needed TLC :bubbles: Thank for explaining everything to me about those Scientist... I will check the guide for that show on PAX. How did Ron's Dr's appointment go? Will he be taking meds? Hi MKay, We finally had our French toast(made with sourdough bread), turkey bacon and eggs for dinner the other night :T I am glad to read that you are trying to get in some walking time, it has really helped me get through the stuff that's been going on here with extra work and with my father being ill... How is the massaging coming along? Is DH's heal getting any better? I never knew that it took so long for a broken heel to heal up... then again, you did say it was practically crushed. Hi Michele, Thank-you so very much for your prayers - it means allot to me :goodvibes Sounds like you are 'so ready' to go to your cousin's wedding... you leave soon, don't you? When? I saw this talk show the other day with the whole audience KNITTING!!! It is such a popular come back!! I wish you could have seen it!! Such beautiful things with the yarns of today... not like the old days at all. Well Hello there stranger!!!! Marilyn is wonderful to see you posting again! I enjoyed reading the post: *Joining Together in Worship* and would sure love to see you post more often --- I have missed you ;) Hi Nancy! Good to see you! I am so very sorry to hear about your DF!!! I hope that the Dr's can help him recover real soon!! Like I said... it's tough to watch your parents age - I want to do more to help, but can't :sorry: it's frustrating. Offering you and your family my *prayers* :grouphug: How wonderful to hear that you are losing like you are! 15 lbs down... that's awesome kiddo!!! :dancer: I'm am glad to hear that the gazelle is helping you get in some exercise w/o hurting you ;) Sounds like you have the best time with those kids :^: I spent allot of time at soccer games when my nephews were young... I enjoyed the game. Goodness... I haven't cross-stitched in years... you mentioning it makes me want to again :D I have all kinds of projects I could do too ;) Well gang... I have to call it a night... I am plum-tuckered-out!!! *God's Blessing* Sleep well... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2..._bubblegum.gif <>< *~*~*~*~*~*~* |

Brrrrrrr...
Good Morning My Fellow Friends...
It sure was cold out this morning and the huge rain drops were equally as cold. Yikes! Sunny...I absoutely think the kitty sig of yours is the best. Gary's foot is being massaged every night before bed. He promised to do mine tonight. His foot will take much time to heal. We met a man the other day who broke his heel 3 years and 5 surgeries ago. His body kept rejecting the metal plate so they finally used bone from his hip to replace the plate. I pray your DD is alright. I looked at my DD the other night...he's just showing his age more and more every time I see him. He's 79 (I think). I was looking thru a box of oldie but goodie pics last night and just to see his face back when he was healthy and strong made me sad. The same with my neighbor, Grace. I met her 6 years ago and she was fiesty and now, she did some weeding the other night and yesterday suffered all day from doing that little bit of work. Prayers for all our elderly; moms, dads, any relative, friend, etc. Father, we praise Your name...Thank You for our elderly people. They have such wisdom and grace, gifts from You. We pray today for them physically, mentally and spiritually. We lift them up to You for healing of their bodies. Hold them, comfort them and let them feel Your touch, Your gentleness...thank You our sweet Father...In Jesus name...and we all said...Amen and Amen! EZ...can't wait to see that siggy. Whew...two houses. When will you plan to evacuate your current residence? Nancy...good for you on the weight loss. Last night going thru my box of oldies but goodies, I found the train I cross stitched many years ago. I love trains. Brought back memories. I don't cross stitch any more...maybe again someday. That prayer goes to you DD as well. Rachel...don't be nervous about finals. Just ask the Holy Spirit to guide your thinking while you are testing. What happened with your aunt? Michele...I'm sure you will have sooooooo much fun in CA. At least it will be warm and summery. Bonding with mom will be fun too. do you have brothers or sisters? Well...I suppose...work time...I just got a coffee to wake up. |
Good Morning!
It's another cold, rainy day here. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever see summer. I hope it's nice tomorrow so I can get out in my yard.
My inlaws are arriving tonight and will stay for about a week. That means I have to think about meals every night but it also means I get lots of baking in my freezer. ;) They are wonderful people and I am looking forward to them being here. mkay: My aunt broke her heel in a car accident years ago and it still gives her some trouble. It must be one of the hardest things to heal. I pray Gary has relief soon. Enjoy YOUR foot massage tonight. Rachel: Praying for you for your finals. My son just finished and is very happy to be finished. Sunny: Praying for you and your dad. It's especially difficult when you can't find the source of the problem. Take care. Nancy:My prayers for your dad. Way to go on the loss - 1 lb at a time. I used to cross stitch and probably will take it up again someday. Right now I do quilting which I love. I plan to start one in fall for my son and his fiance. Gotta run! Hello to everyone else and have a super day! |
Hi!
Mkay- Nice prayer for the elderly our society doesn't treasure them as much as they should, hope you enjoy your foot massage, sounds purely relaxing
Rachel- Hope your headahe has gone prayers for final week, that all goes well Nancy- So sorry to hear about your dad, prayers for healing, and that He is soon feeling better. WOW down 15 lbs way to go you are doing great, and new curtains, it is always fun to change a room around. I love cross stitching usually do alot of it in the winter, all put away since summer is suppose to be here, somewhere since the warmth went away not sure. Sunny- so sorry to hear your dad is sick, prayers he is soon well and doing better, and that they are able to keep his diabetes regulated. It did get cold last weekend, but mostly because of the wind, this weekend suppose to have a frost, so probably will kill all the budded trees and flowers, bowling was fun yesterday. Every year at the end of the season we have what is referred to as a fun day. We are paired as teams by averages, the highest with the lowest and so on, so that things are fairly evenly matched, then we have all kinds of different ways to bowl. Ex. frames 1-3 9 pin tap, frames 4-6 throw with opposite hand, frames 7-9 bowl backwards and then 10th 9 pin tap, each game is done differently but it is alot of fun. Mitchy- Prayers for safety traveling and that you have a great time in Ca. E.Z.- How exciting signing for your new house, nephew should do better on his meds, prayers that they work well, and he is able to slow down and concentrate, can't wait to see your name tag that sunny made, I tried attaching one to my signature and have not had any success, I am sure our wonderful graphics goddess will be able to help, good things she sweet and has alot of patience. God bless all, gotta a meeting this morning, then off to camp, business meeting at church tonight, then back to work tom. afternoon, have an awesome weekend everyone. see ya! Wilma- you snuck in, prayers for a good day, and happy gardening tom. |
Happy Friday the 13th!!!
Hi all! Sunny, hope your father improves. It's sometimes touchy with diabetes, i pray he has the correct health people to help him through this.
Mkay~I do have a younger brother. He is about 1.5 years younger and he has cerebral palsy. He's in a wheelchair. He is high functioning mentally and verbally, he has a memory like an elephant, he's really a lot of fun, but he can not walk and has some spasticity and atrophy. He lives in a care facility during the week and comes home on the weekends to my parents. He cannot make it to the wedding unfortunately, it's too far and my parents van would be questionable if it'd be safe on that long a trip. He's ok with that, so i'll spend a couple days with him b4 i head up north. It's rainy again today.... but i don't have to work tonight! I may go have some food and do some window shopping tonight. I leave on memorial day for CA and i already got a skirt for the wedding and i'm contemplating knitting a pink top to go with it. But i'll have to knit night and day to get it done. Have to get their wedding afghan too.... :dizzy: |
A quick hello to all!
Sunny I am so sorry your family are having to cope with such a load of illness at the moment. Prayers and thoughts are coming your way whenever I think of you!! :) Hope everything gets sorted out very soon for you all. Meanwhile...RELAX in His eternal arms! For all this is under his great control, even though it doesn't seem like it sometimes!! EZ., well done to DD!!! Awesome! Lateralus I hope your headache has done a great disappearing act by the time you read this! :headache: Mitchypoo have a safe journey to CA and have a lovely time realaxing in the sunshine :sunny: Nancy..prayers for your DF too in his illness! I hope he gets beeter very soon. Congratulations on the awesome weight loss!:bravo: :cp: |

|
Good Morning all....
Rain again today,I can't wait to see blue skies , it seems like forever since I've seen them.My dad had a very rough night, his heart rate fell to a very low, dangerous rate and suddenly started vomiting about 2a.m.This morning I spoke to him and he sounds good, he just says he doesn't feel good all over, I wonder if his pace maker isn't working the way it should.I almost feel that he is ready to accept whatever happens and said his good-byes to me, as he said things he has never said before. So it has been an emontional morning, my poor hubby is at work but his mind is here at home with me.
Sue: Our grandaughter seems to have gotten over her ball in the stomach and is off too prepare for there tourament, they will play three games in one day, and then two the next day, they won last year so they are going into the games with a lot of "we can do it ness" I seem to cross stitch all year, it keeps me sane, and I make many of my gifts for Christmas so it takes all year, you know how it goes, you do it one year and then it is wanted all the time, When I was in high school I did a piece that hung in the Art Museum here in Chicago, for awhile. So I guess it is my passion. Thanks so much for your prayers for my Dad. Racheal: Good luck on your finals, I always dreaded any test that I had to take, and would have put them off forever if I could have. Thanks for remembering my Dad in your prayers. Mary Kay: Thank You for taking the time to pray for my Dad, I am a firm believer in prayer, and the miracle they can provide. Wilma: I have always wanted to try quilting, but the closest I come to it is doing the ones that are already quilted, edged and printed on. Your work must be beautiful. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. Teel: Thank you for your prayers, it is truly awesome how so many people are holding my dad up to God, and I know He is hearing all of them. Also on the weight loss, for some reason I feel like I'm not really having a hard time lossing it and other days, well I think it is really unfair for all those goodies to be calling my name and tempting me the way they do. Michele: I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip. have you thought anymore about knitting your top? My daughter wants to learn to knit, so I bought her all the stuff she needs, and the book to go with it, well lets just say she is having trouble making the first knot, but in time, she'll catch on. I best run, Ron(hubby) will be home for lunch soon, and I promised the kids gamma would bake cookies today for when they come, Thanks again for all your concern and especially prayers. nancy |
