A Servant's Prayer

Jesus, MY Jesus... How marvelous your ways...
Far more splendid than my mind can envision. What an
honor to be chosen by you. A lowly child I am, but empowered
by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the great hope to which you have
called me. I give myself totally to you, Lord. Take my imperfect
heart and make it perfect. Peel away the hardness. Close the doors
I have opened to the temptations of this world. Gently remove the
roots of painful memories, sins, doubts and fears. Discard anything
that separates me from you. Lord, fill the emptiness with the light of
your love that I might be a beacon calling the lost back to you.

To love as you love...
To serve as you serve...
To heal as you heal...
To forgive as you forgive...
always mindful of my nothingness while doing
great and marvelous things in you name and for
you glory. This I pray, Jesus, in YOUR name.
Amen

I just love your picture and thoughts. Thanks for the encouragement!
I just returned Monday morning from a 4 day cruise to Cozumel and am back at home in the Tampa area. We had a great time. Traveled with other Christians and enjoyed our time so much. And a praise here...God helped me with my eating and I came back only 1 pound up. Thanks to God for His help. I've been resting up from our 'vacation' ever since we got home! lol Lots of walking on the ship and in Cozumel probably helped alot too. Tomorrow is my day to return to the dr to see how I'm doing. Looks like I've lost about 7 pounds in a month. Wish it was more, but am happy with anything that goes down instead of up!
Here's to a great day for us all! God is Good All the Time, and All the Time, God Is Good!

Hello, Hello, Hello my Dear Friends...

My day today is looking allot better then the last time I visited here ;)
I went for my walk outdoors this morning and got in 4.25 miles with a total
of 40 miles in for April thus far... I had some catching up to do, otherwise I
would not have gone so far this morning :o It felt great getting back outdoors!
I do not like using the T-Mill now unless I must because of the weather.

Now to catch up with you all :stress:

*~*~*

Hi Teel, Thank-you so much for all your concerns for my Joe... he is doing so much better now. I cannot remember the name of his meds, but he was on for 5 days and he called it a Z-pak :dunno: He is now using a saline mist and seems to be all better :sunny: He hardly ever gets sick and this year he got hit twice... it's been a rough year!

Sorry you (and some others) are losing your posts... it happens here quite often. Try writing in your notebook or in Outlook first. Then do a copy and paste into 3fc's reply box. This way if you lose the post you can just go back and do another copy and paste with allot less frustration :D I never worry about losing a post anymore doing it this way ;) *Luck*

How are you doing these days? A little better :^: Wonderful to hear that you didn't gain the weight you initially thought you had :cp: Gotta love that kind of news!

Hello there Big guy... Thank-you so much for all your encouragement... I have been trying very hard to stay *on track* even though *stuff* happens ;) Each day I am doing a little better and loving the good feeling of feeling *well*. I heard from my sister yesterday and she got some news that not only does she have type 2 diabetes, but she also has very high Cholesterol ! 438 I think she said... she is at the Dr's today to get some meds to bring it down. She has not felt well in a long time. High Cholesterol is in my family: my father, both my brothers and now my sister. My mother and I are the only ones with healthy levels, thank the Lord!

I think it's awesome that you and Angie did a marathon, I remember when I first started you had just done it or were training for it. I am struggling to reach 5 miles each morning - 5x a week - nevermind a marathon  Once I reach the 5 miles there is where I will stay till I feel I need to move to make a change.

Oh... we had a week-end all right... don't know how good it was :dizzy: Although, when I think of other weather disasters these days... we didn't have it all that bad :smug: You were right about one thing... it was good packing snow for snowballs!!! 70*+ smarty-britches  just rub my nose in it will ya

Did I read that you were going to Hollywood? For a job... or are you a big movie-star that we didn't know we had :o

Yes, we saw that we (the Browns) got Edwards  Glad to hear that Amanda did so well in her games in spite of her IBS attacks... :cp: and that you all had a good trip. *Prayers for Ryan* :crossed:

Hello the Margie, Have you been hanging in there? Keep up your walking, I hope?!? Thanks for the cheers :cheer: I have keep some walking going... yesterday on the T-Mill and today outdoors :cp: It sure felt great getting outdoors this morning!!! Don't know if I will get in 50 miles by the end of April... but I will sure give it my best :smug: I have already passed my 25 mile goal for this month, so I am a happy camper :D :D Just 10 weeks ago I would have never thought I could!! I was so very ill.

 Down 5 lbs!!!!! Awesome!!!! I am so very happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Azulfire, I love your new avatar (thumbs-up)!!! You are so welcome for the roses animation --- I do have allot of them!! Files :o I am a graphic/animation fan... to say the least :bubbles: Glad that you and the others enjoy them :sunny:

Your retreat sounded so nice --- it's been so long since I last went on one. I sure could have used it after this past weekend

:cp: Congrats on your POUND gone!!! :cp: Great JOB!

Hi Rachel, I am so glad to hear that you are enjoying Curves so much & that your headaches have finally left you.

So you are going to China... how  is that! Why China for a vacation? Do you have friends or family there? Or just wanted to go there?

:dancer: Awesome job on the 2 lbs GONE !!! :dancer:

Hi Michele, Yes, Joe is feeling much better today... thank you for your concerns ;) Neti-pot? No... can't say that i have ever heard of it. I will take a moment later to look it up on the net - Thanx! Joe has very sensitive sinuses and this Neti-pot sounds like something he may like to use, especially during the dry winter months.

How are you feeling these days? Is the Yarn Cafe still fun? :D

Hi Virginia, You are Down 4 lbs!!! Awesome JOB!!! :bravo: How did you do over the weekend with your visit from son and DIL? Hope you all had a very nice visit together :goodvibes

Hello Wilma, Yup... I think we some a bit of snow :dizzy:  So you woke up to a dusting, huh... crazy weather these days, that's for sure! Today we are at 50* and it's rainy and the snow is still around in patches & some mounds from the plows that are about waist high. Hopefully by this afternoon it will all be gone. Our tree did snap one branch off and the other two main branches we hope we saved :crossed: Joe and I braced them, and bound them with electrical tape (we were told to use that because it expands and yet it holds). So far so good... it looks pretty good this morning :) I just hope that it heals up! I worry when the winds pick up though :o

I am so very sorry :sorry: to hear of your DS's brake-up with his girl... offering *Prayers* for his recovered emotional health! It's so hard on the kids when that happens... but I think it's harder on the mom's ;) My girlfriends have gotten to the point where they don't want to get to know the boyfriends or girlfriends so they won't hurt so bad when they go... tell him, that life is full of thorns... you just have to *look up* and see the roses ;) {{{Hugs}}} for your DS and for you too ;)

hi Sherry, Down 2 lbs!!! WooHoo for you!!! :cp: 80* temps there... :p :p :p

Glad to hear that you have gotten in some walking even with your bad knee... may it continue to heal up - injuries like that take awhile to heal :goodvibes

*Prayers for your DUncle, you and his family!!!*

Wonderful to see you Sprout!!! Sorry to hear that you have been ill again, but such great news about being *CANCER FREE* for another year!!! Cheering on year 3 :cheer:

So KoKo is doing well and growing :goodvibes what??? no pics this time?? :( Do try your best to get back up and walking again, Marilyn... you have come so far and done so well... no giving in now :^: okay ;)

Hello there Sami!! Wonderful to see you stop in again too... you are so very welcome! I am glad to be of help ;) Your grandson is absolutely Beautiful!!! You should be so proud of him and of your DD... I am so very sorry to hear of her struggles :( I will keep her in my *Prayers* as she recovers. Good thing she is home now and is under *mommy care* (from you) she'll do just fine. {{{hugs}}}

Hi Sue, *Welcome HOME!* I cannot wait to hear all about your adventures and see your pictures!

Hi Myisha, It's great to hear that Channon continues to improve in health with each passing day... continued *Prayers* for she and all those that love her ;) Thank-you so much for the prayers for my Joe... he is doing so much better now and appreciates all those who have prayed for him :goodvibes

I so wish we had 80* temps again... it's been such a hard, long winter this year! I miss the desert warmth & smells... I am originally from 29 Palms, California --- you just couldn't get more 'desert' then there  But I love the peacefulness there when I go back and visit... it's so calm and quiet, you can actually think

Did you know that sleep is vital to losing weight! And lack of sleep will also cause water-retention, nevermind stalling wt-loss. Women need at least 7 - 9 hours of good restful sleep. I read in my book *Patient Heal Thyself* by Jordan Rubin that the sleep you get before midnight is the most restful and healing sleep... so getting to bed by 9 / 9:30 or even earlier is very, very healthy for the body :D I am so glad you got a good nights sleep!

Hi Christy, CONGRATS on losing 2 lbs!!! Keep up the great work kiddo... you will run into many that will try to stall you out with your program, but you just have to be responsible & accountable to only one person - YOU! You can do it ;)

How is that toddler doing from your church? Does he have MD? *Prayers* for him!

As for water-retention: it usually means... not enough sleep, too much salt or not enough water! Did you know that Celery and Asparagus are natural diuretics  Have some... and feel allot better :D

Hi MKay, You are DOWN 2 LBS too!!! What is going on here... I want some :p Congrats!!! Your women's retreat sounded nice too, glad you had such a nice weekend :goodvibes Your shopping trip all together sounded fab!!!!! I would have loved taggin' along... I love going out with groups of friends :D So much fun!!!

A veggie weekend, huh... aren't those the best!!! I love it when Joe & I have a weekend home to get in a couple scrabble games :bubbles: How was your hubby's Dr's appointment? All go well... I hope!

Hello Jackay, That's okay... stop in when you can. Sounds like you have had a full plate of life! I just bet that you are looking forward to your vacation in May, a well deserved one I think ;)

Keep up the good work... DOWN 20 LBS!!!!!!!!! TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer:

Cats??? Did you say cats? :D ? I have 3 of my own :D :D :D Our furry kids! Later when I have more time we must share! How many do you have, names and how old :df:

We are a special group here... not only because we are Christians of all denominations, but we are one of the few groups that have a gentle*man* with us :smug: It's great having EZ's/Gary's different & to the point perspective... not to mention his great sense of humor!!

I hope you will come back again soon and find this place to be warm and inviting :df:

 Hello's to all those MIA... JAN, LYNN, ZOE, ANDREA & GINA* Please forgive me if I have missed someone, know that it was not intentional ;)

I asked this in a previous thread, but then saw where I should be in this thread. DuH!

Where do you find the neat pictures and graphics?? Love them and would love to find them so I can use some. Thanks!

Hello Jan! We posted very close to one another :D

*Welcome Home* I am so glad to see you popped in and to hear that you had a lovely time on your vacation!! Gained only 1 pound (thumbs up!) You did well!

I saw your post on the OLD thread ;) I get the pics from all over the place :smug: I Google them (under Free Animations or Graphics) to get some and then I snag some at a place called *Simply Snagables* You have to register with the Delphi Forum and it's very different then here, but it's all fun & free ;) You just have to save them onto your computer hard-drive in folders.

Time for lunch...
be back later ;)

Sunny, thanks once again for keeping us in line and making a new thread. You are so good about that. I really love all the graphics you've had made for yourself, that is so cool. Can you give me the link to who did it for you? I'm glad you were able to dig out of that mess w/the snow. How did the tree fare after all? Have to cut it down? You sure are doing well with your walking these days. How's the gut feeling? The neti-pot is very soothing and it's similar to the saline solution, actually spraying that is harder on the sinuses, the neti-pot is not so traumatic they say for the sinuses. I hope you look into it, cuz it's really helped me and my mom, and my cousins...and that trucker...

Hey there Sunny. Thank you for the praise and encouragement. :) I too love the graphics you have! And, 40 miles for April?? That is awesome!! :D

davoswoman 04-27-2005 01:30 PM

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I am still here. I am struggling with my eating at night but am counting my points and still OP.
I am going to my first TOPS meeting tonight and looking forward to it. It will be good to have the accountability.
I am also starting a new Bible Study this week on discouragement and depression. I have struggled with clinical depression for the past 20 years and am really looking forward to this study. I am doing it with a couple of friends from my Sunday school class.

Forgive me for not addressing everyone yet, it will take time to learn everyone.

Hope you all have a wonderful day! God Bless!

Oh, I forgot. Sunny- I have four cats. Melvin-a huge white/beige cat who is 14 years old. Maggie-a tiny black/white cat who is 4 years old. Groucho- a large black/white cat who is 3 years old. And last but not least, Missy-a medium sized gray/white tabby who is almost 2 years old. She's my baby girl!

BTW- I don't know how to put the graphics in my signature. How do I do that?

cbaumgardner 04-27-2005 01:44 PM

Sunny,
Even though I have only be on this site for a few days you have made me feel very welcomed thank you! I have not heard anything on the toddler from church but witth post as soon as I know anything.
Funny I had asparagus for dinner last night. Lol Now that you mention it I remember reading something about it helping with water retention.
Just a bit of interesting info.
The youth group at church and the calls there group "Corp 91" based from Psalms 91: Great passage! Amazing how God reminds us of things we need to hear.

THANKS
CHristy

Thanks

lateralus98 04-27-2005 03:30 PM

Sunny, thanks for the encouragement! :D My mom and I are going to China as an early 18th birthday present (my birthday is on 12/25)/late graduation present (I graduated in November). I've never been outside of the U.S., and even then I've only been outside of the Midwest 2 times. So this will be amazing!!!

Gosh, I really don't want to go to Curves today. Tonight, Fr. Jerry is taking the whole church group from R.C.I.A. (including me! I was the babysitter!) to Le Voltare, an upscale French restaurant. I know I won't be able to count calories or anything there, so I am officially giving myself the night off as far as that goes, as long as I make it to Curves. So I better go to Curves!! ;)

How do you guys manage to update with names? It's so hard for me to remember them all! SunnyD, I know you already did this, but do you think you could PM me the list of names/locations again? I'm so confused and I feel bad about not updating with names. :)

Talk to y'all later!

mkay 04-27-2005 03:57 PM

I, too have kept a running list of names if anyone is interested.

Just got my new computer hooked up and I love the smaller keyboard.

I have a headache today (hmmm...could it be the piece of cake roll I ate for lunch?).

Well, back to the paper pushing!

lateralus98 04-27-2005 04:19 PM

Sunny - thanks for the list! I did end up going to Curves, although the entire time I was driving there, I was like "WHY WHY WHY?!?!?!?!" in my head. But after I finished, I felt so much better! :) Your kitties sure are cute, I have one myself. She's going to be 10 in September, and her name is Miss Kitty. I got her when I was 7 and I named her "Binx" after the Disney movie, Hocus Pocus, cat's name. But I never remembered to call her Binx, so the name Miss Kitty stuck! :D I'll post a picture of her when I can. Don't ya just love kitties! I've always wanted a grey tabby with green eyes. So pretty! But I LOVE the one I have.
Sorry for gabbin' on and on about my kitty. I just finished getting ready for Le Voltare and I'm so excited to go! :D Anyways, I'll tell you how the dinner went when I get home! Talk to you later! Bye everyone...

EZMONEY 04-27-2005 09:38 PM

Tuesday Night

 HI GALS

Just got home from a long day at work...of course ANY day at work is long for me  No one home :?: ..son coaching his high school kids at a track meet, nephew left a note he was up at taekwando (I signed him up last night) and Angie at my step-d softball game...they were winning 7-1 as of the last inning when I called Angie asking.."What's for dinner?"...guess what is for dinner...ANYTHING I AM MAKING  ...already on it! I have turkey bacon defrosting in the microwave for BLT'S.

YES " GRAPHIC GODDESS" I was in HOLLYWOOD...as far as a part goes..if they are looking for a cranky old, creaky, balding, scratchin', spittin', sinner...Well, then I'M their GUY  Actually, I have been told I look like Gerald Mcrainey,aka...Major Dad, Simon and Simon...gotta be old for that!! Ryan has been told he looks like Nicholas Cage a lot.....liked it better years ago when the "gals" used to say...aww, you have Paul Newman eyes ;)

Amanda won her doubles match against Air Force yesterday, the ony one that did :cb: ...However she was the only one that lost in singles :( She played a tough gal and took her to duece and ad a bunch, just couldn't finish her...the other gal was just too athletic and had more strength...a great match to end her "HOME" college career. It was senior day (for those that remember "I" already had a senior day for them with the leis, then the added match)...anyway, she received flowers from the girls, another mom and the boys...will send pictures as soon as the girls give them to me. The "boys" were cute presenting their flowers on bended knee :)

SUNNY So glad to see you thawing out ;) Yes Angie and I did do the marathon a few years back...we trained for it for 6 months with a group..it was very fun...you would be so surprised at what you can do if given the proper training and WORKING WITH A GROUP ALL PUSHING AND ENCOURAGING EACH OTHER!!...I remember the first walk was 3 miles...liked to kill me...then all of a sudden 9-10 miles was a piece of cake!! AND HONESTLY LADIES! there were at least 4 gals in our group that weighed over 220 pounds that finished it...26.2 miles!! They were way behind Angie and I but it didn't matter!! They were so happy! It was such a blessing "walking with my wife...well...OK..most of the time...we pushed each other!! and another HONESTLY we were NOT SPEAKING TO EACH OTHER the day of the race!! talk about awkward  ..WE ARE SO OVER THOSE DAYS!!! We finished the race in 5 hrs 43 minutes avg 13 minute miles for 26 miles...we were very PROUD and TIRED!!

Does Joe get jealous with those Italian guys always hanging around ;)

The treadmill is a good way to work-out...for me..with the TV...but it doesn't give you the same work-out as the real walking...and as ANGIE says.."why do I need a treadmill? I have the entire outdoors!" as she gets up at 5am grabs Reba and Rylee and is out the door at 5:05 am for her 3 mile walk...and me?...

CHRISTY I hope things go well with your mom! I picked up on the "she always gives me a guilt trip thing" as some of the others seemed to pick up on the "mom..being mom thing"...not sure where you are at...but if ANYONE is trying to keep you from doing what is best for you...well, you know! Don't be "dramatic" and don't be a "weenie" either!! YOU CAN DO THIS...WITH...OR WITHOUT YOUR MOM'S HELP...THIS...IS...ALL ABOUT YOU!!! babe!! If your mom is helping you to become the person you NEED to become...be thankful...if she is not, well...I suggest...you keep your "polite" distance. Hey...but what in the heck do I know.... We are all such LOOOOSERS here!!!

MICHELE What about that guy?

SUE! SUE! is that REALLY YOU? YEA!!! MY Sue is back!! I am so glad you were able to give those youth some of your wisdom!! I just love it when adults spend time with our "future"!! Doing the right thing...so many kids have obscured outlooks on the world. I hope that you get a chance to go camping soon dear, after all...hasn't it been 2 weeks since your last VACATION!!

RACHEL It is a lifestyle babe...one day..one meal..is not going to make that much difference...ENJOY your evening!!

CANDY Welcome!!

JAN
Welcome!

WILMA What's in the garden? Give that boy a hug from some one that couldn't get a date for 2 years..ME!!

SPEAKING OF THAT LADIES...my son has tickets for Elton John...and ALL of his girlfriends are busy that night...he does date!...just an unlucky night...so if anyone is interested!!!!????

SHERRY How are you doing dear? Uncle? I think I remember something about the softball game but the
GRAPHIC GODDESS changed the thread and I don't know how to get it from here...I think you won...YIPEE!

Well...gotta feed these mutts....................

EZMONEY 04-27-2005 09:44 PM

I don't remember who said it is to hard to remember everyone...but THAT IS A GOOD THING!! for so long it was DONNA, MICHELE, SAMI, SUE, WILMA,MARILYN and ME...with and SHERRY joining in from time to time...then MKAY...

Stay here...stay on track...stay focused!! You will WIN!!!!

davoswoman 04-27-2005 10:19 PM

Thanks for the welcome EZ. I am born and raised in good old California! Go Dodgers!!! :D

Elton John is here in KC,MO tomorrow night. I am not going though :( I am going to a MercyMe concert on Friday though. If you all don't know, they are a contemporary Christian group. I am excited.

I had my first TOPS meeting tonight and it went great. I met some wonderful ladies and even got some "hand me down" clothes from one of the ladies. Nice clothes and I needed them. I have gained about 25 pounds and hardly have anything that fits anymore and I just refuse to buy any more "fat" clothes!!!

Wow, there are so many people in this group. Hope I can start remembering everyone soon!

Off to bed,

Yummy dinner!

It's so nice to hear from all of you! I had a wonderful time at Le Voltaire. For an appetizer, I had escargots (my first time trying it!), then a salad with slices (!) of real bleu cheese, for dinner I had a steak filet (8 oz.) with bleu cheese butter (I can't ever have enough bleu cheese!! :T ) and their homemade mashed potatoes with steamed asparagus and carrots. Then for dessert, I had creme brulee. It was so yummy! The only part wher I actually really slipped up was later when Chris had my favorite cookies (peanut butter fudge) and I had 5 of them. But oh well. I'll just get back up and try again tomorrow. Not the end of the world.

Gary -- That's so nice of you to send that care package! I'm sure he really appreciates it. That's great!!!

Candy -- I've heard of MercyMe, but I haven't heard their music. What's your favorite song/album by them? I'm happy because I'm going to a Green Day concert on May 15th. I saw them once 3 years ago and they're awesome live! I'm glad the TOPS meeting went well. Keep up the good work!

Christy -- I hope things go better with your mom. Hopefully, she will respect your decision to make a lifestyle change and leave it at that. :)

Sunny -- Hopefully the electrical tape did the trick. Did everyone's power come back?

I know there were more people, but it's 1:13am here, and I'm getting sleepy! Nighty night everyone! ;)

mkay 04-28-2005 09:41 AM

Just getting used to my new puter. Windows XP and I’m not sure I really like it, but then again…it’s work and not supposed to be play.

Gary went to the healing/prophecy thing at one of the local churches last night…I just didn’t want to go…I struggled with it and got over the guilt. It was 3.5 hours long. He came home with a CD and a book. Hmmmmm…we’ll see. I would buy books too and I’m not much of a reader.

I made a pair of really cool chandelier earrings to wear today, and I made a pair of earrings that a gal at church lost the mate and I made a necklace/earring set for a gal in our Life Team that bought a dress for a wedding.

Tonight is WI so I won’t get home until after 9:00 most likely and… I’m afraid I won’t have lost what I’d like to have…if any, but my pants and shirt feel different today, especially the shirt…not much though.

SUNNY...Thanks for the list again, I didn't have the b-days. The kitties are awesome and cuddly looking.

EZ...Yipee to winning against the Air Force. Isn't it dark at 5:30 a.m.? I would be afraid to walk that early here in MI.

davoswoman...I'm glad your meeting went well and LOVE getting hand me up or down clothes...you see, one of my hobbies is going to the goodwill stores and buying my clothes. 80% of my clothes are from the thrift stores.

lateralus98...You're making me hungry.

Mrs Smiley...Today's devotion from Crossroads? I do look forward to them.

I went to see Elton 2x when he came to GR. Saw Selah last year when they played a freebie at the big lakeshore. Very down to earth people.

Well...Planning Commission day today, so I have details here I must tend to...catch ya all later!

Hugs!

I'm a Dodger Fan too!!!

Hi all

Davoswoman~I'm from CA originally, just east of LA, born and raised, but I live in MN now for the last almost 5 years.

Gary~Wow, how was Hollywood? Make you greatful to live down south? It is pretty and historical in that part of town though. And about "the guy" Well we're talking again and have a date tomorrow evening. He was in the hospital again after the first time he called. He had a blood clot in his sinuses and was very ill. He's going through a lot of personal stuff right now too, but i'll see how it goes tomorrow. He's back to calling daily and i still like him.

I'm still plugging along although i'm not seeing big weightloss at the moment.

GOOD Morning CER's

What a beautiful morning it is!! It's finally sounding and feeling like Spring  My front garden has the color of blue from our myrtle blooming :bubbles: We have some broken branches on our azalea's, but they aren't too bad... I still have not gone over to look at my English Garden on the side of our home --- maybe this afternoon. The sun is peeking out of the clouds right now and I have a couple buckets to remove from my painted daisies :o

I got in 4 miles this morning :dancer: 4 miles! :D
That makes 44 miles walked for April...
I just may make 50 this month :cp:

Where are you Margie B???!!!???
I need my walking buddy!

*~*~*

Hi Rachel, I am so happy to hear that you went to Curves... I bet that you are glad you did too! Yummy :T Glad to hear you had a wonderful time! Snails... YUK :p did you like them??? I can't eat those, just the thought!!! :faint: But the rest of the meal sounded absolutely delish :T Glad you had such a nice evening :goodvibes

Gab away  So you are a kitty person too... cool! I like that name Binx too... I have the move *Hocus Pocus* love it! I am a big Bette Midler fan! Too bad it didn't stick, but *Miss Kitty* is a sweet name ;) I would love to see a pic of her :D

Yes, everyone has their power back on now... thank the Lord. Some were without for 3 days!!!

Quote:

YES " GRAPHIC GODDESS" I was in HOLLYWOOD...as far as a part goes..if they are looking for a cranky old, creaky, balding, scratchin', spittin', sinner...Well, then I'M their GUY
Hi Gary, :lol3: You kill me!!!! :lol3: I called Joe in to read your post this morning... you gave us both a good laugh... just love your sense of humor!!! :cheer: Yeah Amanda!!!! :cheer:

Quote:

My friend Juan Sanchez USA ARMY IRAQ and his "care package"
I LOVED your *Priceless* post this morning... so very true!!!!!! God Bless those people!!!! I Pray for them every single day and then some!!

Did you see... I did 4 miles again this morning :D I am busting out about it  cuz I am up to a 20 min. mile now... that's so good for me too --- I was so very slow before and it's great to actually do better!! I cannot believe that I use to be at a 9 min. mile at one time... don't know that I will ever see those days again, but I am sure trying :jig: I agree with Angie about the T-Mill! If we had nice weather like you guys do --- I wouldn't have one either... but with this crazy weather, I need it to keep my workouts going. I was out the door this morning at 5:12am ~> me and my flashlight were right behind you Angie :D

Nope  he's not the jealous type... sometimes I wish he were :o but that's okay ;) He really shouldn't be... jealous, I mean... I think it's cuz he is very trusting in me as I am with him :D and that's a good thing, right :smug: We learned years ago to never be 'alone' (with helping someone, or speaking to someone) of the opposite sex unless it's your sibling  ;)

Hi Candy, Don't worry about remembering everyone... as you get to know us, it will just come to you :df: Did you see the pic of my boys ;)

Hi MKay So you have XP now... that's what I have had from day one and I love it! Once you get use to it, you will enjoy it also. Glad you like my kitty pics... I love 'em to death :smug:

I bet those chandelier earrings were beautiful! They are so IN today!!! Funny how everything comes back around, huh. Have you ever seen the Jewelry making show on DIY? The host is a hoot, but I enjoy watching how everything is made... and admire you and those who can do it. It takes allot of patience with some of the intricate pieces. I just bet you make beautiful pieces!!!

You are very welcome for the list ;) I know that Margie B wanted it also... has anyone heard from her??? I bet she doesn't know we began a new thread :o That happens sometimes...

*~*~*

You guys are not going to believe this!!!!
But as I am finishing up this to you all I looked out the window and it's SNOWING again!!!! Snowing... huge flakes!!!! I just cannot believe it!!! What is going on here!!!! Now... I am bumming... ... ... :( When will this all come to an end! It was so beautiful this morning and clear enough to see the stars :?:

Have a good day everyone!!!
I'm sure gonna try to :dunno:

Sunny...oh my gosh! More snow?! I hope it isn't as much as earlier in the week..those pictures were awesome! Go safely, whatever you do.

Not much news from this part of the world, I am sorry to say! :( It has been something of a grey miserable day but the sun is just starting to come out from behind the clouds...a bit late in the day, but better late than never!

Lateralus I bet you are SO excited about your trip to China. I hope you will post some brilliant photos when you are back home again. I would love to fly to Asia for a visit but unfortunately I am not allowed to fly long haul because of my heart condition...ho hum. :?: Anyway I wish you a very happy time with lots of memories to come back with.

I am looking forward to my holiday to Scotland right at the end of June for a fortnight. Soon I will be able to say "next month I am off to see Linus"!

I am quite pleased with my healthy eating plan at the moment... I am only ...(only!!!!) 4lbs off having lost 2 stone which I sincerely hope to do and more before I fly. To this end I have tried a couple of new recipies, one of which I hope you do not mind me sharing with you here. It is called, "ROAST SMOKED SALMON SUMMER SALAD"!!What a mouthful! I tried it out for lunch and enjoyed it enough to try it out again. Its a bit of messing about but worth it when you get round to eating it!!

Roughly julienne or grate 2 carrots into a bowl.
Heat 3 tablespoons olive oil in a small pan and add 1 teaspoon poppy seeds and heat until boiling, then pour directly over the carrots.
Add the finely grated jest of 1 orange then skin the orange and cut into segments, adding them and any juice to the carrot mixture.
Season with salt and pepper
Add 1/3 cup chopped pistachio nuts and some fresh coriander or parsley
Toss well and finally add roast smoked salmon flakes.

As I said, rather a lot of preperation invoved, but very well worth it!! I do hope someone will try it and give me feedback!!

Michelle1210 04-28-2005 12:01 PM

Goodmorning peoples ;) I cant believe it I was not on for 2 days and whammo you found a new home hehehe, think you can move out without me, not i'll hunt you down

Who is going to MercyMe concert? I would love to go the first time i heard the song oh oh i may chop this up but my memory isnt all that dependable, the song "word of God speak" I was on my way to work and the song described my walk, i was crying for that was where I was at.It still touches me :smug:

Mitchypoo what is commmision day?

Godbless[IMG][/IMG]
Grrr how do you add image here :(
Azulfire:flame:

Mitchypoo 04-28-2005 12:18 PM

Huh? Commission day? :?:

mkay 04-28-2005 12:46 PM

Planning Commission is when the Planning Commission Board meets to decide area zone changes, hotels going up, changes to an area to put in shopping centers, etc. It just calls for a busy day on the clerical end making sure the meeting room is set up, waters for all :dizzy: , resolutions are packaged and given to all the board members, food is on time, etc. I usually work through my lunch or go online (obviously) just in case someone needs something. A grunt job for the board.

DH went to the doctor yesterday and he has to be in his splint until Sunday and after that, he needs to start walking on it...right...the foot is still so swollen he can hardly do the exercises.

SUNNY...DIY...sounds like my type of viewing. Anything I would be able to get in MI?
More snow???? Good golly miss molly!!! We're supposed to be in the upper 50s today. YEAH! :D

I wouldn't mind starting to walk more...I was but then I stopped last week sometime. Of course, it got cold and windy too. Am I whining?

Later...

cbaumgardner 04-28-2005 01:38 PM

God works in great ways if we will just let him............
Last night I was given the chance to say someting to my mother about hte way I am trying to eat. It couldn't have worked out better. I told her after church I was starved and was going to go home to get a bite to eat. My son had chicken strips and had a few left. My mom said you should have eaten them and I told her " No, I finally had broken through a stall after about 3 weeks and really was afraid if I ate any Flour, sugar or starches that it would throw me off again, and that I really wanted to lose about 10 or 15 more lbs by my sons graduation." No hard feelings YAHOOOO!

THANKS EVERYONE!!!!

Gary, Thank You I do feel like I am on a guilt trip sometimes.

mkay 04-28-2005 01:44 PM

I have a question...

Why is it that most of you if not all of you have the red exclamation on the bottom next to your egg and I don't? It says it's to report a bad post. To the newbies, how did you come across one and what type of stuff does it say?

Duhhh...me...not getin it.

Mitchypoo 04-28-2005 01:57 PM

lol...Mkay, i wondered that too, but i see a red exclamation point by your post, but not by mine. You can't see your exclamation post probably b/c you can't tell on yourself for a bad post. You are very observant, sweets.

cbaumgardner~Kudos to you~ It's very difficult sometimes to let people know that you are changing your life, without them feeling bad or feel that you are saying something about them, but you handled that wonderfully! I hope you feel proud for your efforts.

Margie B. 04-28-2005 02:28 PM

I'm here - boy you miss one day posting around here and grrrrrr :D :joker: - it's nice to be missed! :goodvibes Just have a few minutes for a couple of hellos. . . today has been one of those 'do it now' from my boss. Luckily those don't happen very often but when they come, you do have to 'do it NOW'! I also have the best boss in the world, so I don't complain - at all, he's great, - anywayyyyy,

SunnyD - Yes ma'am, I've been keeping up my walking, Wednesday's are difficult so didn't get anything in yesterday but did my lunch walk today and am now at 46.85 miles. Hoping the rain :rain: will hold off a little while tonite so I can walk the park when I take Sara to her tennis lesson, perhaps get a couple laps there. :crossed:

Thanks also for the names/locations/b-days. I have taken your advice from previous and am making me a folder of 'notes' so I can keep track of everyone. FYI, my birthday is 1/16 and my DD Sara is 2/18. Love the pics of your boys. Once I figure out, and have time, to post some pics, I'll show you all my girls (1 cat, 1 dog, 1 rabbit, and of course 1 daughter! :smug: )

lateralus/Rachel - CHINA? Sounds great. I would love to do some international travel but my DD has a great fear of flying :chicken: and unless they build a bridge to Europe. . .some motivation though for helping to drop a couple more pounds in the next month huh? We leave for the beach at the end of May and I know that's helping to push me a little more also.

Glad you're enjoying Curves, hopefully it will work for you and your schedule. Your dinner out sounded yummy, haven't had the escargot, they say it's really good if you can get it past your nose! :?:

EZ - YEAH Amanda! :encore: When you and Angie did the marathon, was that walking?? Do you still walk that much? How long did it take you to train for that? I have thought about joggin/running but I figure 'hey if God wants me to run, He had better put somebody REALLY good lookin' in front of me', either that or somebody with a bloody knife chasing me!!! :yikes:

Gotta run and pick-up DD from school. Hugs & prayers to all - Margie

How to Post Images:

~ POSTING IMAGES ~
Here we go --- (maybe you will want to print this up to follow)
Well, what I do is this...

FIRST - you will OPEN A SEPARATE WINDOW from the window you are in at 3FATCICKS --- by going to your START & then click on your INTERNET EXPLORER another window should open up for you then...

SECOND - you use that second window to go do a search with GOOGLE and type in FREE GRAPHICS, or GIFS or ANIMATIONS; then once you have found a site and the graphic you want...

THIRD - you will RIGHT CLICK ON THE IMAGE (if site will permit the right click & save - if not it will tell you so in a bubble) and then SAVE to your HARD DRIVE in a FOLDER that you have named so you will know where to find it again. I have mine in MY DOCUMENTS with a folder titled Graphics.

FOURTH - To post your pictures go to this FREE Website Photobucket.com and upload your graphics, animations or home pictures (NOTE - resized your home pictures to be SMALLER - 400 x 300 pixils - BEFORE you upload them to photobucket or we'll be waiting forever for them to come up on the forum ;) ) to Photobucket and then just Highlight & Copy the IMG address with the img code that they give you under the picture (third one down) and post it right into your post where you want it to be. This way your pictures will be IN your post and not just at the bottom. That's it! :)

***LUCK***
Happy imaging :D

doitforme 04-28-2005 06:52 PM

me Again!

We left on SAt. 16th we got down there early afternoon got set up. They let the girls stay in the house the church owns (right across road from the church) and the boys stayed in the church, they did the program 13 times which was great the nursing homes were awesome. there was a 96 year old lady at the Lutheran home that remembered the kids from last year, she was an inspiration to them, they were very intimidated at the Baptist High school chapel they did as it was in from of 270 of their peers. The group from there opened for them with electric guitars and drums, and a beautiful rendition of "I'll fly away" . They were like wow and now we have to get up there, but they were very well recieved, and did great. We went to Cpae May on Tuesday our free day, which was really nice, I'll post a pic of the lighthouse with group in front. They got to catch baby horseshoe crabs, find shells, and fosil rocks ect. They got to see the only concrete ship the Navy ever made that sank, they never removed it, I'll post a pic of that too. The on Friday our other free day we spent the day in Ocean City on the boardwalk, most of which was still closed, but is a beautiful area, and beach. We had an awesome time. The kids did good.

lateralus98 04-28-2005 06:54 PM
