THANKS, EVERYONE ~ for all your prayers -- they are so appreciated and I have been feeling great peace over the last while. Just a few moments of nervous twitches, which is normal I'm sure. Less than one day now; of course as it gets closer, that is to be expected as well.

We watched a couple more Christmas movies last night; sure brightens the spirit at this time of year. Will try to get some sleep tonight if I can. ;) I so look forward to having this cumbersome growth out of my body. My family keeps reminding me how much lighter I will feel -- like a feather, I'm sure.

Once again, thanks for all your prayers and kind words of support; and, PRAISE GOD for the mighty way in which HE has been granting me such GRACE during this time. So many prayers answered for us and so quickly -- it is nothing less than a miracle for sure. I see this as my 2012 Christmas gift and miracle from our LORD!!! PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!

I will be MIA for a few days going out of town for Christmas but will continue to pray for requests, I don't need to know the details, God does.

Re-Posting my Facebook page :) So for some of you it's just repeat...

UPDATE ~ Well Prayer Warriors, I go in tomorrow, Friday, morning for round #6 of chemo. If it wasn't for the chance it can kill that damn tumor I think I'd skip it ;-)...this last round was pretty tough on me as far as the lasting effects of it. The fatigue stayed the entire time, the cold sensitivity was much worse although it eased a little each day after the first week. Stomach aches were more frequent and my back pain was worse (I think that's from all the sitting I do in my recliner). Chemo brain was worse this time too.

However, all in all, things weren't too bad. I had a great Christmas week, got to visit with family and friends, a surprise visit from a WONDERFUL church family :-) and made plans to be visited by several good friends later this month. Played a small part in a kitten adventure that made someone smile. I also made church 2 more Sundays...awesome! Loved the Christmas music!!

We will scan again in 2-3 weeks after this chemo trip does it's job on my tumor. After the scan Angie and I will meet with my oncologist and we will see where my near future leads, as far as surgery or other options.

Thank you all so much...Your prayers are working and I appreciate them very much!

Praying for all!

Prayers for Gary and that the chemo will be gentle with him this week and that the cancer will be gone.

Prayers that Rosebud's surgery went well and that her recovery is going great!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I was very fortunate and was able to fly back east to visit my parents in North Carolina for 9 days and that was very nice. I haven't seen them in a couple of years, though we speak on the phone every week.

Holding up ok right now from yesterdays chemo ride. Although I am still having small amounts pumped into me for 3 more days from a pump I carry around pumping the drugs into a port I have in my chest.

Most of the side effects are the same or better, however the sensitivity to cold is...well....brrrrrrr! Tap water feels like ice chips to my lips and mouth! Touching the cold door handle this morning at 4:30 to get the paper kept my hand feeling frozen for an hour.

I got a broccoli and cheese soup on the way home from chemo yesterday, from Togo's, that tasted like heaven in my mouth! So much of the food tastes nasty, and although I am thankful more than I can express that I am eating again....something I will NEVER take for granted after not being able to for over 100 days...I still miss what my favorites used to taste like. Luckily not everything taste bad. I do much better with foods with a lot of moisture too.

So it looks like I will be buried under my blankets in my recliner watching tons of college bowl games today....not a bad way to spend the day ;-)

Thank you PRAYER WARRIORS!
