  • Please pray for my dad. His name is Forrest and he is 73 years old. He currently has 15% heart function, Kidney depression, Pneumonia, and a leaking Mitral valve. He is also Diabetic. Thanks so very much. God Bless!
  • I came...I read...I prayed....
  • On a high note...

My sister and her family are going to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm tomorrow through Sunday to celebrate her completing chemo and radiation...

she is taking her new boobs...wink...she was sized up this past week for the bra and pretend boobies....

haven't seen her in it yet but she looked plenty fine to me w/o them....

and I love it that her and I match in shortness of hair now!!

Have a great evening and thank all of you for your continued prayers!
  • Back with another prayer request for my daughter. She's really having some issues with the military doctors and unfortunately you don't have much say in your medical care. She filed a formal complaint today with the commanding officer of the hospital and is going to ask for her medical records, reports and such to be reviewed by an outside party. I don't know if it will do her any good but we're hoping.
  • Bargo you remind me of my sister she was a fighter , I even wrote a poem about her but have it put up / She got knocked down once, twice, thrice by cancer and he could not keep her down, she would say I am ready to kick old Satan's hmmmmmmmm, right straight back to ****. She taught me so much and everyone said she was a slow learner but she was the smartest of the bunch to me.
  • Lanniedo , and MamaP your prayer request have been added to my prayer list.
  • THANKS, BARGOO ~ yes, we are surrounding Tom and his family with lots and lots of prayers. Heard from his wife and she is in good spirits; she hopes that he will regain his strength and come home again. He has done so well over the last three years -- my brother told me last night, that really he's a "CANCER SURVIVOR" at this point ... and I sooo agree with him.

As you know, this is the third time TOM has had cancer (first: prostrate; second: colon with 2 surgeries; and third: colon cancer cells in his lungs) -- and as far as we know, it hasn't spread or gotten worse. My DAD thinks that TOM feels safer in the hospital with professional medical care around him; and that makes sense (my DAD is also a cancer survivor and knows how scary it can be).

THANKS to all of YOU for your prayers ~ My DAD's arm is starting to heal up nicely; the reddish markings are fading to yellow and disappearing. HE came up with this ingenious idea to use screws to put the floor in the cottage (which they started today); they are using multiple cordless drills (one set for drilling and one set for putting in the screws) -- and wow, this is making things go much easier and faster for them. Well, my DAD is 77 y/y and my DH is 63 y/y; and they both have health issues, so this is really helping them a lot. It is so nice to see the progress at this time; it seemed so slow up to this point, but this stage is going much quicker which is very encouraging ...

UPDATE on my brother, RPS ~ He is finally home and safe, and as well as he can be; talked to him last night and he sounds very good. THANKS SO MUCH to all of you who prayed for him over the last couple of years too!!!

GOOD NEWS ~ coming our way about my youngest brother too; he has been taking some good steps that should result in positive changes in his life as well. We are praying that the LORD will continue to help him make wiser choices and grow in his spiritual life as well ...

^CONTINUED PRAYERS^ for all people and concerns here ...
  • Great news ROSEBUD and continued prayers for all
  • My daughter's c-section is now scheduled for next weekend. Yay. Apparently her complaint to the commander of the hospital (and another one this week through patient relations) did some good. The head of the OB/GYN clinic is on vacation and another doctor stepped in and said "let's schedule this - you need to deliver by 38 weeks because of the gestational diabetes and other complications you have had." The other doctor said he wasn't concerned about her elevated blood sugars because they had tried medication that made her very sick "so you obviously can't take medicine." Even though her specialist said he wanted her delivered at 38 weeks (based on July 4), the head of the clinic said he wouldn't deliver her before 39 weeks (based on July 10), her due date is either July 4 or July 10 (they have both as a possibility) - he said that he didn't want to bother with it around the holiday so he was gonna wait until the 5th or after because that was most convenient for him. She has also been in labor since June 6 (11 days of contractions every 3-5 minutes), but she doesn't dilate (she didn't dilate with the first baby so after 8 days of contractions they took him by c-section). The first doctor told her since she wasn't dilating and her placenta previa was gone there was no problem with waiting - they gave her a prescription for percocet and told her if the pain got too unbearable to just take a pain pill. This has caused her great anxiety - today she sounded so much more relieved and relaxed on the phone (even though the transmission in a vehicle they just bought 6 weeks ago went out this morning).
  • Prayers for my sister Sheila who will find out Friday if the cancer is back in her bones.
  • Onderchic ~ she will be in my prayers, along with the others in need of prayer.
  • All are in my prayers...May Our Lord's will be done in all matters.
  • UPDATE ~ Thank you so much for your prayers for my Uncle TOM S. over the last 3 years or so; it has been so appreciated and we saw the results of GOD's grace in their lives.

TOM's health took a turn for the worse recently when he caught a very bad flu which weakened him terribly and he was unable to regain his strength. GOD was merciful, and TOM passed on very peacefully in his sleep late this afternoon. Our LORD is a compassionate GOD and we are very thankful and grateful.

Please pray for his wife and daughter, plus his siblings who need GOD's loving and comforting embrace tonight. Once again, thank you so much for your love and support through all this time -- it was so kind of you all to take time out of your busy lives to pray for TOM and his family; and they are very, very grateful too ...

^PRAYERS^ are going up for all of your concerns too ...
  • Couple of prayer requests tonight....

In January of this year I began planning a vacation for my son, myself and my sister at the end of July. We had everything booked and ready to go, then after an email to our condo Monday just to make sure things were still good, we heard back yesterday that the place had been taken off the market and we no longer have a place to stay. I just ask that you pray that we are able to find somewhere to stay in a similar location (on the beach) for a similar price. We leave in 5 weeks and hoping we don't need to pack a tent

Also would like you guys to pray for our vacation bible school that starts this coming Monday and runs through Friday. This is my first time teaching VBS and I'm a little nervous. But please send prayers for the children who will come through our doors, that seeds will be sown this week

And finally for me as I begin to job hunt. I pray that I find the job God has prepared for me. I pray for the strength and courage to move on. I have worked in the field of childcare and education for over 10 years and feel it's time to move on, but quite apprehensive about starting over with a new career. I graduated in December with a degree in business and hope to be able to put it to use.

    Thanks so much!!!

Prayers going up for the needs listed before me as well.
  • MANDY ~ ^Prayers^ are on their way ...
