PRAYER REQUEST PLEASE ~ I have different kind of request again; our old clunker (money pit) is giving us grief again. We have an appointment at our bank Tuesday morning (May 25 @ 11:00 am) to discuss the the possibility of a loan to purchase a new or newer car, as I really dislike pouring so much money into a vehicle that is just getting older ... thanks so much!

Update: Surgery went well and my Dad got to go home yesterday.
 

My Dad's surgery went well and he got to go home from the hospital yesterday. They ended up taking the whole kidney. Thank You All for the Prayers! Now need Prayers for a quick recovery and he eats health food and takes care of himself.

THANKS FOR PRAYERS ~ meeting went great; they gave us the all the info we need concerning purchasing a newer car, etc -- now we just have to decide what we want to do and when. Have to pray and try to decide which route we want to go as there is a minimum amount a car loan has to be, but we also have some other options at our disposal as well. It was interesting to find out that the banks are changing things in order to match the flexibility that credit cards already offer their customers ... :)

Please please send prayers up for my DH who is having his second interview for a salaried position in the field he works, NYC commercial real estate. (We don't even know the salary, just A SALARY!!) He had the first, it went well. We are both so anxious but not speaking about the anxiety. Just being casual, supportive and kind...

The interview is this am. Please please send prayers fro before and after...

Also, I have several people in my life who were recently diagnosed with cancers. Aunt Sonia, who takes care of her 90 year old husband and good friend Jay who has a very rare stomach cancer, so rare it has been diagnosed only 2 other times. The doctors do not know what to tell him in terms of prognosis or treatment.

Please continue to pray for my daughter and grandson. She is having weekly stress tests (Thursday) and has a regular appointment on Friday and then next Wednesday goes back to the specialist for another ultrasound to measure her fluid, check the placenta placement and measure the baby. I think on that day they will determine when for sure to do her c-section. She is almost 34 weeks, is miserable and it hurts her to walk. All the extra fluid has made her get really, really big (she looks like she's having multiples). She spends 90% of her time in bed ~ luckily my grandson is pretty good about playing in the bed or bedroom while she sits. They have a tub of toys for him in there and if they put the baby gate at the top of the stairs he can roam between her room and his.

I would appreciate prayers for myself as well. I am really struggling with the worry and am having a hard time focusing on life - it is affecting everything (work, my diet/exercise, housework, etc). I know that God is in control but I'm still having a hard time finding the peace that I know I should have. I did manage to get a plane ticket for July 4 to go visit so I'm looking forward to that. If it weren't so far I would get in the car and drive there for Memorial Day (I looked at plane tickets but they are extremely high and no way I could do that).

Update: interview went well. But, they need to keep on interviewing prior to making a final decision. They both said he was an excellent candidate for the position.

DH was told if it were up to the 2 people with whom he already interviewed, the final decision would be made by the end of this month. However, the CEO likes to take his time and told them to interview more candidates.

Keep those prayers coming... They will help us. I know it. Thank you!!

I just wanted to stop and saying praying here in Texas for all of you. Please when you think the stress is getting a hold of you please sit down, close your eyes and think of something funny that has happened in your life,or just something that made you happy, for just a few minutes. That should make you feel better and find some peace. Please don't let stress wear you down, it is a tool of Satan's that can make you sick and gain weight, fight back with God's tool of something he has given to us good precious and happy memories. Our Father loves all of you .

:hug: ^PRAYERS^ going up for you and yours ... yes, I agree with BOOTSIE -- whenever I get anxious or stressed now, I start SINGING and saying PRAISES ... and that really helps!!! It totally takes my mind off the neggies and worries and gives me peace again. A while back I wrote a couple of praise songs, and now I sing them. If you don't know any, try the praise Psalms like the last three Psalms, and Psalm 23 ... THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I shall not want ... no Psalm more comforting than that one! :hug:
