  • VICKILOU ~ thanks for the update; we hope and pray that your father (Dick) doesn't have cancer after all ... that would be great! We hope for the best, but pray for all possible positive scenarios ...

^PRAYERS^ continue that JENNIFER will be found, and for her family and friends also ...

... plus for all other requests too!
  • Prayers for Vickielou's Dad and for Jennifer and her family.
  • Hi Guys. I'm going to start popping in here every day. Lately, God has really been speaking to me about my prayer life.

Bootsie, I'll be praying for your brother and that he'll get the care he needs.
  • BOOTSIE ~ there shouldn't be any reason why you can't have your brother transferred to a suitable place closer to you. You could tell the insurance company that you would like him transferred to Texas where he can be closer to family ... Here it would just be a matter of finding a good place that had an opening; not sure how it works in the US, but I will send up some prayers for him and this situation. I worked in 4 nursing care homes, and it's true that some institution food can taste bland compared to what we are used to; it really depends on the home he is in ...

^PRAYERS^ continue for you and yours ...
  • Prayers continue!
  • HI RONNI ~ We are sending up lots and lots of prayers for you and your family at this time. Do take your time to grieve dear -- you and yours have been through so much in such a short span of time. Don't worry about the eating right now; just maintaining is a good way to go during stressful periods in our lives.

Just know and remember that you are on our minds and in our prayers each day; and that the LORD will and IS carrying you in His everlasting arms ...

+ ^PRAYERS^ continue for all our other requests here too ...
  • Hi Rhonda,
God has been giving me a good Christian kick lately, I think he has been talking to me but it is been going in one ear and out the other! I need a good kick once in a while have found me a good church , just love it! No politics , no gripping just loving God and studying the Bible!
  • Rosebud-thank you (and thanks to everyone else too). You must have a special insight because today has been a very hard day. Might be because we were donating many of Dad's things today and it just seemed so final. My DH and DS2 are back home in MN while DS3 and I stayed in IN to take care of Dad's affairs. He had requested that his body be donated to science and that there be no memorial of any kind, so we just have to wait on the death certificates to close his accounts. Probably have them by Thursday, then DH will come get us to go back home. Fortunately, my aunt (Dad's sister) and cousins have been wonderful in helping us as well as entertaining DS3 when there's not much for him to do on the business end of things. But, he's been helping me move things, which is hard for him because it keeps Dad's passing on his mind all the time, so we hug and cry frequently.

Prayers sent for all other concerns too. Take care, everyone.
  • RONNI ~ hugs and crying are OK ... they are good healing tools ... washing out all that grief and sadness. Be sure to remind your son that Grampie isn't suffering anymore; and he is at peace now ... Am sending up continuous prayers for you and your DS3, plus all the rest of your family too!
  • Prayers continue
  • ^PRAYERS^ continue for you and yours ... as we remember all that our LORD has done for us during this awesome Easter week ...

He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows ... He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; and the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and by His stripes -- we ARE healed! Isaiah 53:4-5

I hope that Jennifer is found safe Lolajean.

Quote: Lolajean I am too wondering about Jennifer ,have they found her? Praying for her and her family.
No news at all - it's been three weeks since she disappeared. They've tried searching the river and had hundreds of people out scouring the area where her car was found, but nothing. I appreciate the prayers and know that God is trustworthy in the midst of it all.
  • Lola Jean , that is so strange. Don't give up hope girl ,praying for Jennifer to still be found safe.
  • BOOTSIE ~ prayers going up for your brother that he will get the care he needs and that his health will improve so that he can leave if he so desires and maybe move closer to family who can help him too ...

Yes, RE: JENNIFER ~ still sending up prayers, but I can't get the questions out of my mind of why she was out at 1 AM in the morning by herself. Was she going to the store to pick up a quart of milk at that time of night? There may be some clue there, if they knew the reason she went out at that time of night in the first place ... did she get a call from a friend or family member or a boyfriend? And another clue is where they found the car: in a mall parking lot or somewhere else? She had her wallet or it disappeared, but she hasn't spent any money -- so that's odd in itself, and sounds very strange becuz she would need money for food unless she was with someone else. Of course, the oddest thing is that she hasn't contacted her family at all and that doesn't look good; but I am still praying for a positive outcome for her nevertheless -- and I will keep on praying til we know one way or another ... and prayers are going up for comfort for her family and friends too!
  • Prayers continue for the safe return of Jennifer.
