HI FOLKS ~ we also are just having a quiet Sunday at home. Temps came up and the snow came with them; and I'm just hybernating like a bear right now.
THANKS LAURIE ~ yes, that gorgeous tree is still there and is so big that it acts like a hedge between us and our neighbours; but this couple are so nice. We used to work together in our local nursing home many years ago. Their house is on the other side of their lot, so we both have privacy. DH commented that he is glad we live on this side for the privacy here; and I so agree. The longer we are here, the better we like it. BEV ~ don't worry if you can't respond to each person every time; in the beginning, it takes time to learn who we all are, and even I get confused sometimes. I agree that those ladies are so blessed to have you working with them. KATHY ~ My favorite jobs were those that I only worked 4 days; but when I had to work 5 days, I had a mental trick that I used to make them go faster. Monday was the first day, so I kept myself as busy as possible (in my spare time, starting at one end, I would check my files to make sure they were in good order); Tuesday was day 2, so I did the same and reminded myself that the week was almost half over; on Wed, the week WAS half over and went out for lunch to celebrate; on Thursday, I knew that the week was almost done and the files would be finished by then; and Friday was Yeah day, becuz the weekend had come. On many days, I would try to go for a walk at lunch hour to refresh myself. Will send up some prayers that you get that course finished; maybe you could set up a schedule now (at night, when the kiddies are all tucked in), so you can get ready for working at home down the road. Maybe do your work in the mornings and late evenings then. Working from home takes great self-discipline. I have a friend that does that and she has a quiet room set aside in her basement where she can work without being disturbed. THANKS GARY ~ yes, we had a great Christmas this year; prayers your health gets better soon. Stash away some cash whilst you have the work. Like LAURIE mentioned, some things are cyclical and I'm sure the economy will be the same. NITA ANN ~ it's ironic how the simple things in life are the most fun after all. Glad you had a wonderful Christmas with your family. 3DMOM ~ I'll have to try some black beans to see if we like them; just never tried them before. I do love homemade chili though, so I'll pick some up to try. THANKS. HI TO COURTNEY, REBECCA, WILMA, BARGOO, SHY, SUE, NUMPSTER, KAREN, GINNY, TRISH, plus our MIA's. Hope everyone is well. ^^PRAYERS^^ ascending for you and yours ... :hug:ROSEBUD:hug: |
Rosebud - quiet Sundays at home are my favorite! Time for reflecting and setting the priorities for the week. True sabbath time :)
Kathy - thank you so much for your kind words!!! I look forward to YOUR goal story :) |
O2bthin - Praising God always changes the circumstances. The enemy cannot thrive in that! But, I've noticed its the hardest to do in times of discouragement. But so worth it when we do!
Everyone, thank you for your kind comments! I feel blessed to even have the opportunity. If you knew the old me, it's shocking that God puts me out there! :) But...Noah was a drunk and Moses was a murderer...oh yeah, then there's Mary Magdalene whom He expelled 7 demons and she was the first He spoke to after the resurrection. so...I'm in good company! :) ROSEBUD...you are right, there are a lot ofpople and I will figure out how to keep up at some point! NitaAnn - hay piles are the best!!!! I ate like a monster all weekend. I hit the gym in the am and pray God controls my hands and mouth all week!!! From now until forever. My brother, Dennis still needs prayers. he has probation on tuesday and with the recent dui...he needs prayer My mom, in dealing with my brother and all else...she is in need. Peace I need prayer in NOT EATING SUGAR! The girl I mentioned that had the crack issue...she is going thru some family issues and fears. She's stressed, is bi-polar and worried. There is more than I can list..but I am sure you can imagine. Thank you all and i am interested in any food ideas/help you can offer me! peace, bev aka rayne |
Good morning to Everyone! I had to start early for a change to get my 2 oldest boys back to school. Prayers this morning for you guys facing the outside world. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday. I had a few temptations this weekend, but I held strong. I did not eat one thing I was not proud of. We didn't make it to church yesterday but my Sunday School lesson for the week was about "change". I loved the title when I started to read it, DO YOU NEED A FRESH START? Couldn't have been more perfect. I better get my day started. We have family and friends coming for cake and ice cream tonight. Got to be strong. My Baby turns 4 today. He's getting too big too quick. He started writing his name right before Christmas. I just love the little things about being a stay at home Mom. Prayers for you all for whatever you face today.

3D Mom Happy Birthday to your 4 year old and congratulations to you for being a great Mom! You need a present too! My Grandchildren are very fattening, I weighed in at 196 Sat and today I weighed in at 189 back down to my first weight soon! But I loved every minute I spent with them! The house feels so empty without them and my daughter and son-in-law.
I can not get over so many posting here ,it is amazing and such a blessing. I just love it here and I have leaned so much from all of you. Rayne I have gone sugar free except for natural sugar so maybe we can work on that together. Will be praying for your brother, Mother and the girl. I still have not got around to read all the post but to everyone I have all of you are in my prayers and God knows who you are and what your needs are. |
Nita Ann - I would love your help on the sugar thing. I'm working on fasting from sugar this week. period.
I am going with my brother to his probation in the am because he is afraid to drive his car there and then be put away. I hope he doesn't go to jail. He called me crying this am because the next-door neighbor was taken to the ER and not expected to live...he called later really upset because the guy died. I had already prayed with him on the first call and just tried to remind him how important it is to live for God and how short life can be on the 2nd call. The 3rd call was to ask me to go tomorrow. The girl with the crack issue called and is planning to leave her brother's. I mentioned she was having a tough time, its kinda snowballing and she just doesn't want to try to hold up under it. Please pray for each of these. I'm concerned for my brother and for this woman. I didn't make the 930 am class at the gym, but am meeting my cousin at 615. Although, I am considering a nap right now...i think i need to push past that. :) have a great day! Bev aka Rayne |
Bev - hope you blew by that nap craving and that you had a good workout at the gym this evening. Prayers ascending for your brother and the girl mentioned!
Nita Ann - it IS great to have so many new folk! I agree!!! Jump right back on plan and those holiday pounds will be exiting soon! Crissy :woohoo: no off plan foods - that is awesome! Happy Birthday to your youngest :) I loved being a SAHM too. I didn't go to work until my baby started school, and then I only worked a few hours a day at his school. It worked out perfectly :) (I am definitely making up for lost time with the current job though - LOL) I hope everyone had a great Monday! It was a busy day at school with the teachers and kids back from vacation. But, that sure makes the day go by fast! I did 45 minutes on my wii fit tonight, and plan some wii sports later on. Prayers continuing for all! |
3D Mom - Happy birthday to your son.
Bev - Our prayers are with your brother and his hearing. Also for you to have wisdom in helping your brother. I had a great day. On my drive to work today I asked the Lord to help me with my attitude about work and dealing with people. The Lord answered and I had a great day and it went fast. I was able to get a 1/2 hour of working out in this morning before I went to work and stayed on plan. It was just a great day all around. |
 HI EVERYONE ~ We had a good day too. We had turkey and roasted veggies for dinner; and I got lots of walking in around here today doing housechores.
Sending up prayers for all your concerns, esp for Bev's brother and her friend ... GOD BLESS, take good care :hug:ROSEBUD:hug: |

Gary-Happy Anniversary!! Bev-Prayers for You and Dennis today. Crissy |
5 days sugar free, but it is not easy when your neighbors bring you coconut cookies, and every time you go by them you are tempted to reach out! My husband was suppose to leave them at the store. How has your week going being sugar free Rayne, I am craving meat and I must not eat that for I have high Cholesterol, the last time I went sugar free I craved meat , now I am wondering what the connection is. Gary does your wife crave meat going sugar free? I do thank our dear Lord I have not got the severe headache this time that lasted 7 days, oh....thought I was gonna die.
Go Crissy Go!! Happy Anniversary Gary! |
Thanks everyone for your prayers! Dennis was threatened with jail today, for not having been able to pay his fine due to no work, but the guy let him go. He went to a jobsite today, but they aren't doing anything for at leat 2 weeks. He keeps getting the '2 weeks' thing...for 6 months! crazy. he still needs continuing prayer and i thank all of you for it!
Happy Anniversary Gary! What a blessing!!!! Thanks 3D Nita Ann, sugar is going ok so far...minus a glass of sweet tea. I'm crampy and that helps. my excuse! :) I worked out last night, but not today. I will in the am. o2B - you just keep doing what you are doing! you know that He will reward that!!! I got a little down today thinking about the 'lack of man' thing. it's not that i am one of those desperate women...i just don't understand what's wrong with me???!!! I keep wondering if I've just gotten scary looking or something. I need to find a way to post pics and you guys can tell me if that's it. Or if it's simply GOD'S timing...of course, that's it. But why is that so hard to tell our human minds??? Be blessed everyone!!!! Bev aka Rayne |
Found something today you all might want to check out. Healthy Eating Made Easy (I Googled it.) They even have healthy cake recipes.

Bev - Remember that God knows the desires of your heart and He knows if both you and the man of your dreams are ready for a committment at this time in your life. God has a plan and a man for you. I know it is very hard, but He will bring the right man along in His time. Keep encouraged!
I had another good day. Once again I committed my day and my job to the Lord and He gave me a good day. I did get off early because my kids got out of school early because of bad weather. We're getting freezing rain here tonight into tomorrow. The kids will probably have a delay in the morning!! |
