Default Please pray for me.

Hey Prayer Warriors,

I have kept alot to myself and now I finally want to let loose. Please, bear with me.

First off, I am having financial issues. I see the other side and I know God is seeing me through. I have been praying and God has been giving me confirmation on many things. I just have to hold on.

My job. I am in a situation where I need to keep my job to make it. I know I am like many people with responsibilites but I want another job. My job is not suited for me. I am in management at a bank but have a degree in Psychology. I have been doing the banking thing for six years so i dont have any real experience in my field. So, I have to look for a job (possibly entry level but need the pay to live like I do now)

Third; I lost 120 but gained back 20 pounds. too much stress in my life. Financial, work and I care for my Grandmother. I mean she cares for herself but she lives with me. The rest of the fam lives out of state and I am responsible for appointments and medical issues and etc. Being with Grandma has been a blessing but I am overwhelmed sometimes. She has lived with me 10 years. Sometimes I want to come home to an empty place. I feel guilty about feeling that way sometimes.

I am getting back on plan beginning of this year. I refuse to get past my 100 mark.

I know this rant is all over the place but please send prayers up for me.

Thanks and God Bless!

I will keep you in my prayers. You will be blessed for being such a caring and loving person.
As far as the weight loss goes GREAT JOB. YOu can lose the weight you have gained back as soon as you get back OP. I feel overwhelmed with life right now as well and i have decided my diet is the only thing i actually have control over.

ANN ~ prayers are ascending for you and your life; that your dreams will become a reality sometime soon. It is quite normal to want some alone time now and then, so don't feel guilty about that; but you are such a blessing to your gramma, and GOD will take note of that.

As far as seeking another position in the Psychology field, you can look around for jobs in that field while staying where you are. I would advise only applying for positions that compare to the one you have now, meaning an upper level position; many places today are in such need to fill them that they would consider you anyways. My sister just got a job as an Administrator in the Health Department, but had no previous experience and she worked in a bank too. Like you, she had a degree and that was all she needed to get that position. Don't underestimate the power of that degree!

And as far as expenses are, maybe try to cut back on some things now, just in case; and I only mean, look at where you could be a bit more frugal just for awhile, so that you can put some savings away, and make sure all your debts are paid off. I took both finance and social work in college, so I always recommend that people put a bit of each pay away in a savings account for backup and those unexpected things like car repairs; and all experts agree on that basic idea.

I know all about stress and bad habits slipping back into our lives; I'm going through that myself right now. My biggest issue is munching; so, I am regrouping NOW: I'm not waiting til after Christmas. I am still making a healthy Christmas dinner for our friends, with just a few treats this year (two kinds of pie for dessert). Dh will eat the leftovers for snacks or breakfast for me (becuz he's a little guy).

I think all your issues are resolvable. Sticking to a healthy eating and lifestyle plan really does help us feel in control of our lives. Many people change careers several times in their lives these days. Maybe someday, you could book a night or weekend at a nice hotel just to make yourself feel special. Does your gram ever stay with friends or other relatives for any holidays or vacations? Have you ever asked any of them to come and stay with her for a few days so that you could get away sometime?

Well, these are just some ideas to ponder; hope this helps you in some little way. Be sure to come back here, as I find this place helps keep me on track with my plan much better; and, may GOD BLESS you and your gram ...

I understand about your concerns regarding your job in banking. I was in management in banking , a job only a masochist would love. Praying you will soon find something more suited to your abilities.
Now about Grandma, remember someone had to take care of you when you were helpless. Trust in God ,he well see you through and you will be rewarded for your faithfulness.

Ann, you're in my prayers. It's hard to deal with so many stresses, but God gives us strength we never imagined. Your grandma must appreciated what you do for her. I know how you feel about wanting to get away. It's very hard when others rely on us every day. Keep in touch here and rant if you need God loves you and will give you blessings in all areas of your life. Just be faithful and patient. Praying for you and too.

Thanks to everyon for your prayers. Sometimes, I have no one to complain to. Thanks for being there for me!!

Justwant2Bhealthy- Thanks! I will keep looking for a better job that suits me. My bank has extended hours (open until 7pm during the week and until 4pm on Saturday). It is affecting my Chuch attendance sometimes. So, I have to get out of their for my sanity and spiritual health. Anyway, your sister's ability to find a job REALLY encourages me!

For the last couple of years, I would sent my Grandmother to visit with her sisters in South for her bithday present. She stayed with family for free. I would pay for the ticket and even give her some spending money... This year she didnt want to go. Once, we had a discussion that these trips gave me a brief break. Maybe, we need to have another talk. I will probably ask her if she would like to go in the Spring. My Grandmother isn't so bad off that someone would have to stay with her if I took a little break...but she would bug me if I did. Meaning, she would try to talk me out of it. Telling me how worried she would be and etc...maybe even inviting herself. If I did go alone, she would call so often. My best bet is her visiting family. I actually talked to my Mom and said that Grandma should come out (without me).

Bargoo - I apreciate my Grandmother alot. I know my family has been good to me and I will not refuse them. Beleive me, I have not forgotten how good my Granmother and the rest of my family has been to me!! I need a break from time to time - and I don't mean that to sound selfish

Nita Ann - Thanks! You are getting snow in Texas too!

Ronni62- Thanks! And I surely needed a hug
