:wave: HELLO FELLOW ENCOURAGERS ~ we decided to go for a drive today to look at some places, and got a big surprise: we had three homes lined up and all in one week; one by one, they pulled their offers back ... every one of them now says that their places are FOR SALE!

I told DH that something is amiss here; I have never heard of this in my life! Esp since two of the offers came to us, not the other way around. Anyhow, we are back at square one again. So, we need our prayer partners here to redouble their efforts, as we have only 4 weeks left now until we are homeless!! Yah, we need more prayers, please!!! With Mega-thanks, in return ...

Shy-so sorry about the death in the family. Prayers for you and the relatives. Hope you get well very quickly. Bronchitis is sure a nasty thing. Plenty of rest and fluids to get better. And, a :hug: too!

Rosebud- I can't believe that about the houses! Seems everyone down here is trying to get rid of extra properties(which amazes me that some people have enough money to even have extra properties-lol), so, I wonder if that's happening where you are too. Prayers still for you to find your perfect home. I just know God has something special waiting for you.:)

RONNI ~ I think that you are right in what you are saying about the housing market; with one added problem here in Canada. Our fuel costs here have quadrupled in the last year or two; this is causing people to panic, plus with over-inflated prices here right now (which may seem like a lottery to some), there are an unusually high number of properties up for sale all of a sudden.

We couldn't afford to buy one in this market; that's why we decided to build our own, but that will take us 3-4 years before it is completed. The biggest benefit for us is that by using our 7-phase plan, we won't have a mortgage when it is finished. So this was just a strange turn of events for us; we had planned to just stay here until it was built, but now we have to try to find an affordable place to live in only four weeks now.

BUT, we will forge on; and TRUST GOD; and BELIEVE, that he does indeed have a really nice place in mind for us. We found out about two more places that we can go look at this week; and they both are nice places.

Spent today cleaning and sorting out more stuff and such. It was much colder today, but the sun did come out later this afternoon. I only have one basket of petunias left; all the other ones have decided that the season is over for them. I hope we have some more sunny days through October, as it has been unusually cold this fall.

... WE HAVE A HOME !!!


Thanks so much for your prayers; this was the tuffest home-hunting we have ever endured, in a difficult time and in a small market; but once again, GOD has come through for us! We must praise Him and thank Him for hearing and answering our prayers. And, may He also bless the kind lady (Martha) who told us about the place too.

So, we have a lovely little house to move into in about two weeks; I can't wait, esp for Christmas, to decorate the windows with lights to celebrate the coming of our Lord Jesus. We have seen some lovely fall decorations of pumpkins and such all over town; people here love to decorate their homes.

Anyways, we enjoyed a lovely lunch by one of our favorites lakes today, and it was wonderful seeing all the beautiful fall colors of the trees at this time. It was cool, but the sun decided to come out and warm us up. All in all, we had a good day!

Hi to everyone else, too! Prayers continuing for you and your families. Seems like there's a crisis around every corner lately, but I know God will help and comfort each and every one of you in the issues you are facing. :hug: to all.

We've had some beautiful fall weather and got a lot done outside yesterday-hopefully it'll all help toward selling the house. DS2 had a football game Monday night-he got to play quite a bit-and they won!:cheer3: He was so excited! (both the varsity and reserve teams are undefeated so far and he's enjoying the playing and he's losing weight and building muscle!)

Today will be busy with the boys' youth group meetings tonight along with everything else. I always get to do the grocery shopping alone while they're at their meetings-yaaayyyy (oops-did I say that out loud;)). But, not much else going on, except the normal day-to-day stuff, so I 'd better get to it!

As for me I am having a surgical procedure today, I will give you an update on my health after talking to my oncologist. I did finish my course of radiation. They gave me a diploma!

THANKS TO EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAS BEEN PRAYING FOR US ~ we are very grateful to you. We have a nice, little house in town; very nicely decorated, and we hope to start moving in around the middle of the month, if the few minor repairs are finished by then. I thought the place was pretty good already.

Oh, and they are going to put in a ramp for me to the back door so that I can get in more easily. DH was going to do it, but the owner said that he would be glad to do it, so we'll see what happens between the two of them ~ lol! We'll let them fight over it ~ LOL!!!

My legs have been bothering me since the cold, wet damp weather returned; and I can't do stairs too well. This is a ground-level house, but the basement sticks up a bit, I guess, so I have about 4 stairs; but they need handrails which DH will put up right away. We will be much closer to the stores and such, which will be very handy for us.

RONNI ~ congrats to your DS2 on doing so well in his game; glad that they are playing him more too (that's why he is there). Good idea doing the shopping while the boys are in their youth meetings. Never thought you'd say that you enjoy spending some time alone doing grocery shopping until you had kids, I bet ~ LOL!

THANKS MOM! ~ the encouragement and prayers from our family and friends here have kept our spirits up through this time; it was all so unexpected for us. It's one thing when you plan a move and look forward to the adventure or a new job or whatever; it's a lot different when you're side-blinded in this way!
