Thank you for the invitaiton to join your group. I really need the prayers and support from Christian people. Today has been hard but we will make it and everyday will be different but I will take it one day at a time. I done bad yesterday and today I haven't done good either but it is not the end of th world but keep praying for me and my family.
  • Quote: ronni, thank you fpr sharing that scripture, I am leaning on scripture and prayer a lot as I continue cancer treatment. I am lurking a lot or posting in lighthearted game forums, since my main preoccupation is my health, I realize it can be a downer for others to read.
bargoo- please don't feel like you're a downer to us. I, for one, want to hear how you are doing, both the good and the bad, so post whenever you feel like it. That's what we're here for-helping each other even when our posts are downers

gracie- prayers for you and your family. Like I said above, I feel that we're here to help and encourage each other as much as we can. I know that whenever I need lifted up, I can come here and read the posts and it helps me get out of 'myself' and into the needs of others. I also know that if I need to 'vent' this is about the only place I can do that without being judged. Keep coming back!
  • Prayers for Gracie and Bargoo!! That's what it's all about!
  • Hi!
Yes! I am still alive been very busy .... But nothing new there... Have had like no computer time, had a client in hospital and two staff out at work, worked alot of overtime... But they don't allow us on-line access at work... But trust you have been in my thoughts/prayers... Its way too far... to go back and catch up though... Plus my Computer keeps acting up saying can't find server so gotta figure that out.. when I unplug the cable hook-up comes back up and then occassionally does it again, very fustrating... I am doing fine, however, not loosing not gaining... Gotta work days toim 6a-2p then off to camp for the night, then back to work Sat. evening shift.. suppose to rain this weekend, but hope not... Prayers you all have a great weekend.. !!!
  • Ronni - thanks for the post! That scripture was just what I needed tonight! What a blessing

Bargoo - glad to see you back here! Like ronni - I WANT to hear how you are doing. You remain in my prayers, even when I don't see you for a while, but it helps to know how you are so that I can pray more specifically and personally for what you need right now.

Gracie SOOOO glad you hopped over here! You are in my prayers - as are your family situations. Don't despair about not doing well on your plan. None of us do well all the time. The key is to just keep at it - each moment is new and gives us a chance to make good choices - regardless of what you did an hour ago!

mamaduck - I love your name and avatar!

Sue - missed you girl! Glad you are doing OK - prayers continuing for you and yours!

    Hello to everyone else!

It was another beautiful day in northern MI. Work is very stressful right now, and I am concerned about DS2 again. Prayers for him to find his way would be appreciated!

Blessings to all! Stay strong! We are so blessed that we don't have to travel this road alone
  • Hi Everyone,
It has been a while since I have connected with all of you.
Thanks to Counting Down for your prayers and thoughts.
Shy Moment you are in my prayers. Bargoo, I am constantly
thinking about you and praying for you as well as my christ
followers at church. I finally got my results back for my mammo
and my bone scan. Thank the good Lord above, everything came
out fine. I always worry about my mammos because I have 2
sisters and a neice who have had breast cancer. I pray every
time I have to get a mammo. I know all of your prayers have
helped me. I am so glad that we have this group to help one
another get through a storm every now and then. May you all
    have a blessed day.
  • Turquoise so glad your tests came out ok. Thank you so much for keeping me in your prayers.
  • Hello again, everyone!
Thanks for the colorful welcome! I am SO glad it's Friday. I homeschooled my three children and my last one just left the next a month ago to join the Marines. He's in boot camp now Last night, we made airline reservations to go to his graduation in November. We miss him SO much.

Anyway, the family decided it was time for me to go ahead and get a job outside of the home. This is my first week on my part-time job (25 hours a week) working at a grocery store. Ohhhhh! My poor feet! The first couple of days was a real bummer. I thought, Wow! how can I be so lazy! But now I'm getting used to it. I'm on my feet the entire 5 hours minus a 15 minute break.

At least it will keep my grazing at bay. I've already dropped 2 pounds this week. Woo Hoo~ I'll BBL!

  • Turqoise - hallelujah! GREAT results!

Bargoo - I'm continuing to pray for your health and peace and strength for you! God is faithful and you CAN get through this! I think of you often during the day and say a quick prayer every time.

mamaduck - So glad you can go to your son's graduation! It really is hard when they go away from home. Though, I have discovered that it is hard when the move back home too

Congratulations on your job! It will get easier. I felt the same way when I went back to work after staying home with my kids. Congrats on the 2 lb. loss - that is FANTASTIC!!!! Keep up the great work!

A busy weekend here - lots of church responsibilities and the house needs mega attention. This week was way too busy and I didn't get any cleaning done (Shy - I hope you don't read this ) I really let things get out of hand.

So - gotta fly and get something done around here!

Blessings to all - and prayers ascending!
  • HELLO EVERYONE ~ We had another gloriously sunny day, so I spent at least one whole hour out there sunning, as somehow I got a small scrape on my left calf while moving something around yesterday, but the sun dried it up for me. PTL, I got that tip from a doctor on a site somewhere.

to GRACIE and MAMADUCK ~ glad you both could join us here; everyone is friendly and wonderfully supportive, esp in prayer. GRACIE ~ ^^^ prayers for your family going up ^^^

RONNI ~ I agree, that is a wonderful scripture that gives us so much hope when we feel a bit downtrodden from too many troubles; lovely sentiments too.

HI SUE ~ nice to hear from you again; was wondering what happened to our regulars. I know that you lead a very busy life, doing a fabulous work with all those kids.

TURQUOISE ~ what wonderful news; we are so glad that everything is OK.

BARGOO ~ yes, we want to hear updates; and we are standing with you in prayer daily that GOD will give you PEACE & STRENGTH during your treatments, and that He will ZAP those cancer cells and bring you into a full remission very soon.

HI COUNTING ~ we so appreciate your pleasant posts and all your prayers ...

You know someone said today that 'The only thing that grows fast in my garden is the weeds; the flowers take much longer.' That is so true: and this is like PRAYER in many ways. We often have to pray for many days to see the results we are hoping for, but the answers eventually do come, just like the beautiful flowers ...

PRAYERS PLEASE ~ Today, I spent hours on the net doing research, emails, and letters to help my brother out. Could you send a prayer up for my brother, RPS, as he is trying to achieve something very important for his well-being and future over the month of October that needs lots of prayer; and we are trying to help him with that. This could change his life drastically, if we are successful; and I really believe the Lord brought this opportunity to us much sooner than we could have ever expected. Thanks so much ...

HI TO ALL OUR FRIENDS and MIA's: hope you are all well ...

Take good care and remember that you are in our prayers daily ROSEBUD
  • Hello all! I have just finished 2 weeks vacation time. One would think that I would have time to post. But, we are in the process of building a deck and I have been the assistant. That and with catching up on shopping I needed to do I haven't had much time to spare.

Eating has not been going well. I seem to be more structured when I take a lunch to work and have to eat what I brought!! I did go to the doc though about my BP and she said that it was no longer a concern. My eating habits have changed so much that my BP is in the normal range now. PTL!!

I now need to get a structured exercise plan in motion especially with the weather turning cooler and winter on its way. I read in a magazine at the docs that if you have a exercycle to go on it for 5 minutes, then do 5 minutes of weights and go back on the cycle for 5 minutes. Do this for at least 20 minutes a day. I'm going to try this for the winter along with the WATP dvd's. Hopefully I will be toned up for next summer.

You are all in my prayers. Have a great weekend!
  • Very quick fly-by. I just received a call from my brother in TN - stepfather has taken a turn for the worst. I am packing and flying out shortly.
I will continue to keep all in my prayers, please keep my SF in yours.

    Thanks all!
Have a GREAT weekend! I will check in when I can - probably later next week.
    Blessings to all!

    Laurie
  • Hey all my Christian buddies!
You know how I pop in and out on here! Well, things are settling down with my weight again and thought I'd pop in and see how you all are doing!
I really feel badly when I can't do personals so a lot of times I just don't post but I'm thinking of you all and praying for you!
    Love in Christ,
    Lori
  • PRAYERS!

I will be back to post....
  • For those of you who have wondered where I have been, I DO NOT want to hear you all needed the break . We had a death in the family and of course I was elected to get everyone into town from out of state and get the hotel reservations and so forth for 50 people. I wasn't even asked lol his mother just said, " Ask Rennie what needs to be done, lol "Then of course was the coordination of getting people from airports to hotels and to the banquet hall and so forth and so on. Three days of talking with everyone all over the country ( very hard since I am painfully shy off the net ) that I don't even know ( his family ) and then trying to get people who live in the state to pitch in and help get people where they needed to be has really taken its tole on me. Everything came off very well and we had over 100 people there. I was really grateful that people really pitched in when they saw I wasn't feeling well so I wasn't stuck doing everything for the three days when it came to keeping the food dishes full and everyone where they needed to be when they needed to be there. Really have no idea why everyone asks me everything lol. This family has big doos about everything that happens in the family one would think they could do all this without much thought lol. I of course did not eat on plan but am happy that when I weighted myself this morning I didn't gain any weight. No gain is a loss right lol. I have been very sick again. This bronchitis is really getting me down. I go back to the doc tomorrow. No exercise of course, just walking up or down a flight of stairs makes me have to sit for 20 min to catch my breath. This of course will pass and I will be right as rain. I just with the sun would hurry and come out and it would stop being partly cloudy lol.
