Hello there! My name is Sue.. I am looking to start a thread where people can come... on a good day or bad day... where you share the small joys and troubles that need prayer where encouragement is the focus, both for loosing weight and staying accountable to enjoying life as well. I am 55 years old and had a terrible year last year. I lost my mom and my husband. I gained about 50 lbs over the past year, retired and only work part time as a filler tech at a pharmacy. But overall life is good, I travel quite a bit and have a supportive family. But wanted a place to post how much I lost or didn't and general stuff as well. If your interested please join me. I would like to develop a group of supporters, like I belonged to years ago. I was on 3fatchicks in early 2000 and belonged to a group called Christian encouragers, which was awesome. I would like to get that back. Prayers for a blessed day!

Hi! I'm Beth, and I've just joined 3FC. I am a Christian too and would love all the encouragement I can get. This weight challenge has at times undermined my faith to some extent. I've prayed, pleaded, and begged to be given the drive and desire to lose the 80+ pounds I need to lose. I've not gained an appreciable amount of weight since a doctor told me I had hypothyroidism about 25 years ago, but I've not lost any either. Now at 57, the weight is starting to affect my health. I've even had 2 knee replacements. I read my Bible every day and do a couple of different devotionals, but for whatever reason, I haven't had my prayers answered yet. I know it will be a long hard journey. I'd be happy with a pound a week!

I have a wonderful husband and 2 great sons, one married with no children and one still trying to find himself. I'm a special education teacher, love to read and crochet and camp.
