Gary: Just looked at the pictures. It WAS a lovely wedding! Many great memories. My DH will absolutely drool over the trucks!!:D :D when I show him the pics.

It's off to my last day of work before my holiday. We fly out tomorrow a.m. and return on Wednesday evening. Take care!

HI GALS ~

Not much new here today, I am off work again with this eye thing. Seems to be better but still pretty blurry. I have an appointment this afternoon with the dr.

Just went and filled up one of our propane tanks. We plan to be doing a lot of BBQ and grilling this summer, as always. Angie cooks on the BBQ a few times a wek usually anyway. With the new shuffleboard installed we expect to spend a lot of time outside in the evenings.

Thank for the kudos on the wedding pictures. These were just the ones off of digital cameras people gave us. Can't wait for the proffesional ones. We forgot to load some until later, we thought they were there...nope...they were of the rehersal and my ex-wife walking with Ryan and Angie...and Ryan in his pink outfit. Angie will try later to get them in.

GYWN ~ My wife is beautiful...but she is NOT the mom of my daughter...her mom is beautiful though too. Have a great week-end...take a step or two for me ;)

WILMA ~ Prayers for your son. Things are slow in the economy now, it should be better soon...I hope! As far as my vision...as of now the doctor says there could be some permanent blurriness...we shall see (I HOPE!) Enjoy your vacation!

NEMESISCLAWS ~ I was also curious about your name. We have a Trader Joes very close to us but we usually shop at one of the healthier produce/meat markets that carry pretty much the same thing they do. We do get our TWO BUCK CHUCK there though. May your hearing aid issue be resolved.

Later Gals...Have a great week-end!

Gary those are terrific pictures! So fun! One question - who in your family is a fat chick? ? Loved those old shiny trucks too, cool beans! And would you just re-read Gwyn's note to you and ditto that for me! She is so visual with her writings! (Hi Gwyn - I'm borrowing your note because it's just so Great!)
NemesisClaws - that 's neat, long fingernails. Mine stay on the short side but when one of the boys gets a little to rough, they are long enough to get their attention!! (ha, ha!) And yes, my name is from P & P. Just love that movie!
You have safe travel to Trader Joe's (I've never been to one!) and to see about that ear aid.
Everybody - have a great weekend - You will never have THIS weekend again! (Awesome thought,uh?)

Thanks ELIZBENNET....as far as who is the fat chick..humm...I am the only one around here with a real weight problem. Since you are new here I will explain how I got here 5 years ago! I had the day off from work, it just happened to be my birthday, the kids and Angie had recently taught me how to "google" stuff. I had been cooking for a couple of years (that is another story) and was researching a recipe..it lead me here...the rest is history!

Enjoy your week-end everyone.

P.S. The doctor says eye is better...they are still concerned about the lines across the eyeball that they can't identify ....I saw a new doctor today....another check-up next week.

Hello everyone!

I have been swamped the past few days, but today was a doozie. My DH has been gone on a fishing trip with my dad since May 23. The kids are beginning to get a little antsy wanting him to come home, so I thought I would try to do something fun with them. :dancer: They are 8, 5, and 18 months. So, I took them to the town pool for a swim, but I decided to leave the baby with a sitter. We had just gotten wet when my cell phone rang. Trent, the baby, had fallen on a toy and cut around his eye. :yikes: The sitter wasn't too shook up, but she did want me to see it. It wasn't too deep but it was really close to his eye, so I loaded up and headed to the emergency room for stitches. The entire time I kept telling myself that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Isn't is cool when verses are laid on our hearts like that?). Anyway, the doctor cleaned it up and just glued it. Although it will probably leave a small scar, I am praising God that it did no damage to his eye. :cheer2:

I realize things like this are just part of being a parent, but I will say that having to deal with it on my own has given me a greater appreciation of all those single parents out there who take care of stuff like this on a daily basis.

Please keep my DH and my dad in your prayers tomorrow. They are traveling back to Arkansas from Canada pulling a bass boat.

Gary - Loved those pics.

elizbennet 06-02-2007 12:42 PM

Gary - thanks for the history lesson, I learned a lot! It's just the opposite at my house in that it's the boys teaching me how to use this machine. It is fun. I do not do My space, but all of my children do. They are not youngsters (20,21 & a daughter who is 26) and I believe they use it safely - but I still pray to that end. That was a good report from the doc's office. Prayerfully it will be even better next week!
Ellies mom - Oh my goodness what a day you had! I'm with you - every single parent needs our support and prayers. It is an awesome and demanding 24-7 job, even for 2 people! I just loved your little "thing-ee" with the bulging eyes! That said it all, ha,ha!! Prayers are with your husband and your dad for travel safety.
Everyone, it's Saturday!! Have a fun day!

EZMONEY 06-02-2007 01:08 PM

Oh Goodness ELLIES MOM ~ I KNOW all about eye injuries. Angie posted my pictures over in General Chatter in case anyone wants to see...they are a "little" gory...not too bad though, the swelling really went down.Thnak goodness your kiddo is OK! You and the sitter did the right thing. I am so an overprotecting parent, but I remember when my son was about 12, he cut the bottom of his foot on the threshold of the front door, it was pretty deep...but "stupid" me didn't think they could stitch the bottom of his foot, it was on the big calloused part. Why? I ever thought that I don't know. Anyway, the following evening it was still pretty deep...took him to the doctor and was chewed out (rightfully so) because now it was too late to stitch...thank God he never had any troubles with it.Prayers for your DH and dad.

ELIZBENNET ~ Yes the computer can be fun. And expensive! Angie wishes I had never found Amazon...so easy to get cd's ;)

Hi
I am really struggling with my weight and am in need of great support.
My life contains of children and dissapointing God. My mom is a baby sitter and has more time for them that me. Because of my respect and concern for her I help her. By time my mom retired from driving big riggs I was to big for her lap and that was when I was 3 years old. Now that is exagratting but that is how I feel about my weight. All of the kids at school pick on me and use me for all of the crule jokes used about all of the people they dislike. But God has given me a means to excape. My faith. Many times I Feel as though I have really let him down by not steeping up and telling all those around me about my GOD. But then i Rember that as many times that I have let him down that he will never let me down. It is a long road but one I am willing to travel for the lord.
Waiting for a word of ecouragement
thanks for taking the time to read my story

HI EVERYONE ~ ~ We've had rain here for the last week; but, everything in my garden is up, except the potatoes (we don't plant the beans here until mid-June though)! They are expecting very low temps for the next few nights; very odd weather right now ~ LOL!

We had a busy week/end; shopped and walked our feet off, then on Saturday, we went to the garden nurseries and picked up some tomato plants and some flowers to put into our hanging baskets; but won't be putting them out just yet; too cool.

GARY, NEMS & EM ~ Seems some of you have had an eventful week; sure hope all the eye injuries are getting better. These things happen in life (little accidents, I mean); but thank GOD ~ they also heal fast too (esp for children). Prayers for healing, good hearing, and clear eyesight as well.

GARY ~ lovely bride; lovely wedding pics; lovely family! You are blessed!

:welcome: ~ YOUTH CHICK ~ try not to put yourself down so much dear; if Christ died on the cross for your sins and mistakes, you don't need to beat yourself up for them all the time. He forgives our past, present, and future ones too; try to remember that. You are young still; and this is the best time for you to try to live in a healthier way. Just make small changes and move forward one-step-at-a-time; and soon enough, you'll start to see some changes too! If your mom is doing home daycare, that is to earn a living; so, she must give a lot of attention to the needs of those children; I'm sure there must be some time in the evening after they go home that she could spare a few minutes for you. How about a little chat with her while helping her make dinner or while drying the dishes? I bet she would love that too!

CONTINUED PRAYERS FOR SUE ...
HELLO TO EVERYONE ELSE ~ hope things improve for you all!

Take care all ~ your fellow encourager ~ ROSEBUD. ^PRAYERS^
