Thanks Shy, but I can't take credit for that-- I just got it in an email and I thought it was to funny not share with everyone!!
|
Losin: Glad to hear that it wasn't too serious. Praying that she recovers from the stomach bug quickly.
Karen: Funny, funny. The sad thing is, even with all of these accommodations, there would still be excuses. Sigh. |
Losin, So thankful that it was nothing serious!
Cheesy - congratulations - what an awesome victory!!!! Karen - thanks for sharing - there is so much truth in your post! Kim - keeping you in prayer -hope things are going better. Gary, how is your mom doing? I got my first WATP dvd today - I really enjoyed the 2 mile interval walk. Great workout!!! I hope everyone had a good start to the week! Blessings :) |
I am so tired of eating. I have eaten all day and still only have 1245 calories taken in ( I don't generally count ) and 17.5 grams of fat. Hubby and I were talking about how I am not eating enough and maybe that is why I am not Loseing much weight. If I have to eat another thing today I am going to burst. So far have eaten enough to equal a good breakfast and a good lunch. Have no idea how I am going to get myself to eat enough for a good dinner before I go to bed.

Hi everyone! I've lost about 10lb this last month. It's so hard to keep it going, though. I feel so much better. My mom always said food is friendly and that's about the jist of it. But she never had a weight problem. Just eat less she would say. I'm always trying.

Way to go. It isn't always easy but aren't we happy with the results. Just make sure you are making choices you can live with forever not just for a short time. |

HI GALS ~
I want to thank you again for your prayers. My mom is home and feeling better, not good but really happy to be at home! I talked to her today, she wasn't able to talk after getting home yesterday. When you don't have many breaths in you for the day...well they go quick! Angie and I spent the early part of the evening with my ex wife, Brenda. We were at the Sons of norway hall with her preparing for this week-end's Viking Festival. We were cutting up polska kielbasa and she was doing fish cakes. I have read the posts and will catch up tomorrow, I think I am off work. Angie and I have a Dancing With The Stars date tonight ;) My prayers are with you all! Gary |
Hey everyone, thanks for the prayers! Just a quick note and apology. I fear my post about DH being gone was misleading. Things are great with us, but he was out of town for his work, and I struggle with that a lot because it's a remote location. (No phone, no road, no people, dangerous animals, no tents, no gas, etc., etc.)
He's back now and I got a great night of sleep last night that felt wonderful! Thanks again and still sending up prayers for all of you. |
ashamed:-(((
After feeling so good Monday and posting and praying... I made some chocolate chip cookies for my son and had a cookie dough binge. I made myself SICK. I was so ashamed. I felt like a drug addict. Shoot, I was as bad as a drug addict... food is my drug. I binged again Tuesday... Anyway
I started on the right path yesterday and today I am totally back in the saddle. Although, I am afraid to get on the scale! I don't want to see bad #'s During my binge... I heard God telling me to stop... But I pushed it away and "wanted it" more. I just felt gross and sick. I am hoping to learn from this. I have to forgive and move on. Kim- No worries, we understand. EZ- glad your mom is at home. Shy- Do you like Peanut butter? It's a good healthy fiber/protein and calorie dense. have it with celery or my fav.. crunchy or a spoon!! Thanks, Cheesy |
cheesewhore
Remember, when you think you doing this all alone. When there isn't a person in sight to give you support. God is always there. Usually yelling, put down that cookie dough :) He also knows we are human and sometimes stumble. I am sure he was right there helping you back to your feet, brushing you off, giving you a hug and then saying come on little one, you can do it. You know it is funny, I love peanut butter cookies I hate peanut butter. Just nasty lol. |
Prayer Alert ! !
Just received an email from some friends who used to be in our church (transferred about an hour away due to job relocation) have found out their 11 yo son, Levi has been diagnosed with bone cancer, apparently in his hip joint. Starting some tests early next week and then start chemo. I have asked them to keep me updated as best they can during this hectic time and I will also forward this information as I receive it. Levi was maybe 2 or 3 when they moved from here, a very pretty little boy, also has a sister Erin (a high school freshman) and older brother Beau (high school senior). Asking prayers for all concerned because I KNOW who can make the miracles happen! Thanking you all in advance for your prayers. . .
Hugs & prayers - Margie |
Gary - glad to hear mom is home
Kim - glad to hear DH is home Cheesy - we've all been there, so glad you could forgive yourself so quickly! Way to go getting right back at it. You might want to leave the scale alone for a week or two. Get back on track before you let that nasty ol' scale affect your mood or jeopardize your new-found strength. Margie - will keep Levi and family in our prayers Hope everyone else is doing well! Blessings :) Laurie |
HI GALS ~
Not much new here. I am doing well on "maintaining" my 24 pound loss. I have been at 177.something for 4 days now, still trying to get to 175. I seriously doubt I could go much lower, not that there wouldn't be a few more to lose, but because of how much effort would be involved...but I am going to try for 175...try to maintain that, then shoot for 170! I have been getting in a lot of miles because work has been slow and when I am working it is close to home. I have a little over 150 miles walked so far for the month of September, almost 6 miles a day. Dogs are loving it and I am getting my $$$$ worth out of my new treadmill. That being said, I have over 2,500 minutes doing it! :carrot: That is a little over a full week's worth of work! Angie and I will be busy most of the week-end at my ex-wife's Viking Festival. We are working the BBQ ........ be back my son just dropped by,,,,,,,,, |
HI EVERYONE ~ had a lovely, sunny day today; the bluejays, nut-hatchers, and chickadees came by looking for some food; they are arriving early hoping to stash up for winter; one chickadee come up to the post and chattered away at me like he was asking, "Where's the food, already?" So, I grabbed two woven baskets and hung one up on the post and tied one on the garden fence; well, the chickadees were gloriously busy til dark ...
DH had a few more things to fix on the car today; but thankfully, there was no cost involved; and it has been trying, to say the least; so, we played some games last night to cheer ourselves up, and it worked very well. THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS for our flu and our car; it was very appreciated; GOD IS FAITHFUL; and He has come thru for us once again! GARY ~ DH and I put on bouncy records, and dance, and play instruments all around the house for about a good hour or so, at least once a week; that's a good workout; gets the adrenaline and heart pumping very well. Glad your mom is back at home again ... SUE ~ your job sounds so fun; and your life is just so very busy; with all that activity, the lbs will seem to melt off; LOL! ;) ^ PRAYERS ^ for LEVI and his family; as well as for JIM, JEFF, and SCOTTY ... all continue ... CHEESY ~ Thankfully, I don't like cookie dough, so that wouldn't tempt me; it would be the cookies; although I rarely bake cookies anymore, and if I do, I would only make a partial batch (1-2 dozen), so we couldn't eat too many. These days, I only bake things like low-fat muffins; or apple/fruit crisp (lite on the crisp); or pumpkin pie (I make a small one for DH and a crustless one for myself) very occasionally. For birthdays, we only make a small cake, so there won't be too many leftovers. HI TO EVERYONE ELSE; glad all is well, and there have been such great WL victories here lately; CONGRATS to you all! For those who struggle, everyone slips now and then; just pick up and continue on; it's the long-term that matters overall, I think ... Tomorrow is shopping and errand day for us; so we'll be pretty busy. Take good care all; your fellow encourager  ROSEBUD  ^ PRAYERS ^ are continuously flowing ... |
