Default High Heart Rate

Ever since I have begun working out, my heart rate is high, especially when I really get going.. resting, mine is about 75-80 but the readings on the elliptical will go up to 180, 185. It just seems like most people have trouble keeping theirs up, while I can't keep mine down.
Thanks

How old are you?
What is most important is not how high your heart rate goes, but how quickly it drops back to normal. I don't have the exact numbers with me, and they are age based. Try googling heart rate recovery, or something like that. If the rate drops fairly quickly back to normal range, you are ok. If not, you should probably see a doctor before pushing cardio like that.

Also, how long have you been exercising? 75-80 beats per minute isn't particularly low to start with. If you've been doing this for years, it really should be lower.
