  • Hi Gabeeli,

I'm so sorry to hear about your knee surgery. I know how frustrating it is to not be able to use a body part you are so used to using. When I twisted my foot and had to stay off of it (not as serious as knee surgery, however), I started doing upper body exercises, working out with weights. This helped a lot. I also did yoga (all upper body movement). I also did deep breathing exercises... excellent for speeding up the metabolism. Breathe out, then breathe in holding in your tummy for about 10-20 counts, then breathe out. This helps your tummy muscles to tighten. These are just some exercise ideas. I hope they help. In the meantime, please take care of yourself and let your body heal.

When you feel up to it, please join us at our new thread, "Everyday Exercisers to Turkey Day." We are really a supportive group and would love to have you join us.

Good luck at Weight Watchers. I know you'll do great!

    Take care.
