Miles for that time: 1.46 miles Total number of steps/miles, to date in the challenge: 148.09 miles An interesting day at work yesterday. I went in at 6am, so it was pretty dead for half my shift. Half my shift I spent cleaning! Good exercise, though, and not so hot. |
Date: 6/8
Miles: 1.8 Total so far: 143 I've gotten in quite a bit of walking off the mill these past several days. I'm almost beat. :) Dee, I don't know how you manage to walk with someone who has a different pace than you. I tried that several times and it just doesn't work out for me. More power to you. :) |

Miles for that time: 0.37 miles Total number of steps/miles, to date in the challenge: 148.46 miles Was in bed sick most of the day yesterday, so I obviously didn't get much walking in. I'm working today, though, so I should get more. |
Wow! Our total is now 2943!!!! I went ahead and added it up!
We are just coming into Ellensburg WA... wow we are not far from home for me! :) I should warn you though... we are getting ready soon to head up Snoqualmie Pass and into Mount Baker National Forest. It is gorgeous... but we have to climb right up through the Cascade Mountains. We are heading into "hill country" for sure, so everybody get your Seattle legs on! Because you are going to be climbing up an down for a while, all the way down through San Francisco, etc., from this point!!! Fortunately we arrived at Snoqualmie in summer as otherwise there could be super heavy snow and even avalanches blocking our way. But we will be safe now. :) We will see the beautiful Snoqualmie Falls along the way too... let's plan to stop there for a picnic! http://www.ci.snoqualmie.wa.us/ Snoqualmie Pass (and Mount Baker) basically divides Eastern WA and Western WA... Eastern WA is more desert like and has extreme seasons... hot summers and really cold, snowy winters. Western WA (including Seattle area) is more mild and not the temperature extremes. This is because of its location being kind of in a "bowl" protected by mountain ranges, and getting the cool summer breezes coming down from Alaska. So currently we are in the "desert" -- but getting ready to climb right up those mountains... when we come down the other side you will see an entirely new world. For more info about Ellensburg http://www.ellensburg.ws/attractions.html Yikes....we only have 123 miles to go!!! Yippee! LOL then we head down to San Diego as next major stop!!! (I assume, since that is as far south as we can go before we head back east.) |

Miles for that time: 1.49 miles Total number of steps/miles, to date in the challenge: 149.95 miles Manager sent me home early yesterday because I simply was NOT feeling well. I dropped two fry-baskets because I was so dizzy. By the time I got home, I felt like my head was about to burst and I could barely breathe (nose completely stuffed up). I crashed into a hot tub for awhile to loosen stuff up, then I headed to bed for a couple hours. I got some of the new Tylenol sinus congestion and pain meds that they have now and they REALLY worked wonders. Within half an hour, I could breathe again, my voice was less gravelly, and no more pain. Yay for Tylenol! I'm feeling quite a bit better today. I may go to the mall for a couple hours to go dress shopping (just because!), but other than that... I'm just gonna relax and try to get better. I picked a good week to get sick as I've got less hours scheduled at work this week than previous weeks. |
today
