The posters on 3fc have eagle eyes, Margaret. You can't get away with much :)
Today I biked (in my new helmet) lifted for legs and then bounced around to keep my heart rate up for 50 minutes altogether. Feels good! |
FINALLY got the arms in - despite being insanely busy. Plus I cleaned house for 2.5 hours, which fitday said was some ridiculous amount of calories...but all in all, a good activity day.
|
This morning - 40 minutes of cardio. I mixed up my intervals on the rebounder - before I was doing 1 min at max speed and 2 min at moderate, switched to 2 min. max speed and 3 moderate - felt like it worked well, so I'm going to stick with it.
Also did my stability ball and 100 crunches. Hopefully will get in a leg workout on my lunch. |
Legs are done. Yay!
|
Today I did 30 minutes but after dinner I was bored so I did 40 more .... and I did chest and triceps!
|
Benchstepping class 35 minutes, Stationary bike 10 minutes
dustcatcher |
50 mins chest
10k run  I feel good!! |
Did my 40 min cardio with the upped intervals, plus the stability ball and crunches.
No legs/arms today - going to go give blood. |
Woot! An hour of BodyPUMP and an hour of spinning! :)
|
Oh I'm behind here ... I think I did 45 minutes of cardio yesterday and shoulders and abs.
|
Today had planned to go canoeing, but the weather didn't agree...so I came home and worked my butt off.
Did a 20 min. "Lite and Fit" workout that consisted mostly of yoga-type moves and a few arm exercises with weights, and a 13 min quick pilates video. Decided that wasn't enough, went to the gym at my apartment complex - 25 min stationary bike at high speed, 20 min on stairclimber sweating my little heart out, and 35 min or so doing arm/leg exercises on the weight machine. This got me within 25 minutes of my May exercise goal...guess I underestimated? (Well, I know why I estimated the way I did, was supposed to be out of town on business next week but that was cancelled, so I was planning on not being able to do my regular routine but i'll be able to.) |
I'm having one of those carry on days too! I biked this morning, did aerobics this afternoon and just came in from the garden. I can't believe I'll be able to watch TV from now til bed without doing some kind of weights.
But I'm starving!!!! |
Walked at mall 30 minutes
|
Well, it's not really formal exercise, but my friends and I spent the entire day (from 10-6) at a local Renaissance Festival and I was actively walking for at least 6 of those hours. Talk about blisters! :)
|
Margaret - I consider that exercise for sure ...
I, on the other hand did NADA today!! |
That's the best kind of exercise. Fun and with friends.
55 minutes for me today ... all indoors ... dratted rain! |
I took yesterday off too...my first day off in all of May. And I did spend 2.5 hours walking around a mall, and another 30 min grocery shopping...
This morning did my stability ball and cardio, plus 100 crunches. |
Today I ran 5k and did legs too....
|
45 minutes of bouncy aerobics with legs in between. I wanted tired legs ... I got 'em!
|
Treadmill 35 minutes, Walked dog 20 minutes
Dustcatcher |
The usual hour spinning class then hour of BodyPUMP today. Whew!
|
Got a burst of energy last night (and a new set of hand dumbbells) so I did a pretty intense arm workout and another 100 crunches.
This morning - stability ball, 40 min heavy-duty on the rebounder, and 100 crunches. |
20 minutes just cardio (video)
40 minutes doing weights, squats, lunges etc. to music 60 mins total |

If I push myself hard on the rebounder, I go much faster during the 3 min recovery, and literally go all out on the 2 min where I go high speed, getting my heart rate up to 170 or so (85% of max). Most days, I keep between 140-160, which is approx 60-75% of my max. |
I have 400 workout min to go and only 9 days to get it done! Therefore I need to workout 45min daily to meet my goal! I bought a bike so mom and I are going to do it tonight for about an hour and on thursday for just as long if not longer!
Good job on the work out girls! Question: What is the best ab workout there is? On the floor or on the yoga ball???? How many should I do to get good results? |
My ticker ran out. I guess that means that I can do 20 minutes of cardio a day. So I'm going to delete that ticker but it was very motivational so if I need it, I'll get a new one.
Abs Rebeca? ... I don't know what's best. That's probably one of those "which ever one you like and will do" questions. I do all kinds of things for abs. I think I stole some from a pilates video. I probably got some off exrx.com (it might be exrx.net) and www.stumptuous.com and from 3fc. |
REbecca -- The best ab workouts are, like Susan said, the ones you like... But change is good so do some that you don't like too you'll get better results by changing your workout every few weeks......
|
SusanB - my ticker ran out too! I thought about adjusting my goal, and prob will - but I want to look at it all full for a couple more days.
Tonight went and played in the pool for 45 min, kept moving the whole time. According to FitDay, this is "Swimming, leisurely, not laps" and I burned almost 300 calories. Is this possible? Do I count the 45 min as exercise, or just call it something fun that I did which might have burned a few? Seems like too much fun to count the minutes. :-) |
That's really important for us to remember Mandalinn ... exercise doesn't have to formal or gruelling. It can be a fun activity. If I'm not sure if I really 'put out' for the entire time, I just adjust the time a little shorter. But even breathing just standing in chest deep water uses more calories, doesn't it?
|
Mandalinn -- Every minute counts
Todays exercise menu -- bike , chest , run hills ..... |
Ilene? Are you right there? I'm going to PM you about a thread idea?
|
I'm counting it - especially since I feel it in my arms today. Amazing how turning into a 6 year old in the pool (think somersaults and handstands) can do so much for the arm muscles! And I know I was moving the entire time - I can't stand still in a pool, it makes me feel like a mermaid.
This morning - 30 min stability ball, 40 min cardio on the rebounder, and 100 crunches. |
I did 50 min of biciclying last night! IT was fun but my toosh is kind of sore today! I have 350 May minutes to go!
Thanks for answering my abs question! |
Its another one of those days where I just want to keep doing other things. did a 20 min yoga/pilates (OW) and a 15 min ab program.
|
Oh dear! All I've done is bike and tried to have a nap ... dratted telephone!
Hmmm ... let me see ... what else will I do? |
So I disappeared from this :( – I have been exercising an hour everyday though :) I will join back in next month and just set myself a certain amount of minutes I want to do :)
|
The usual hour of spinning and hour of BodyPUMP down!
|
Aerobics/Body Sculpt class 59 minutes, Stationary bike 10 minutes
dustcatcher |
Something else turned out to be gardening and some plain old aerobics in front of the hockey game (which turned out WRONG!)
