Yay, welcome back, Annie, and glad the move is over and went well AND that you are back online! LOL we are more entertaining than SpongeBob Squarepants. <G> Glad you got some walking in too! Good job!

Date: 4/5
Miles 7.25 TOTAL: 73.85 Had a great day. I had almost 10000 before supper, which means almost all done at school. Then, after supper, I did a 2 miles WATP. I'm going to the middle school again tonight, so I'll do the elliptical for some extra steps. It's the start of a BUSY few weeks. In addition to the usual Thursday activities (dance and Scouts), tonight my son is starting a soccer camp for 6 weeks. It's Tues/Thurs (of course!) from 5-6. Scouts start at 7:00 til 8:00 and dance is 7:30-8:30. Supper is going to be tricky on Thursdays. Tuesdays won't be so bad, except next Tues, which is his music program. He has to be there by 6:45, dressed nicely! Another rushed meal. Oh well, when they're active, they can't get into trouble! Have a great walking day! Michele  |
Okay... I figured this up but didn't have time to double check my figures... but I come up with 99.87 additional miles, which puts us at 536 unofficially! Which puts us a few miles West of Erie PA headed toward Cleveland OH. I think. :)

Over 550 miles
Hi everyone-
Dee I love the idea of a website, that would be a lot of fun. I am trying to log in every day and keep up with the miles and locale, but things have been absolutely crazy lately. Also I will be away from SATURDAY through WEDNESDAY. I'll be logging a lot of miles but will be away from the computer. It would be nice if someone could log the miles from Saturday to Wednesday and update the location, Any VOLUNTEERS? I will be sure to tally them late tomorrow night and/or early Saturday. So, now that that is out of the way, with my miles we are at a total of 552 miles. We are now in OH, in a town/city called Conneaut. Great job everyone! Michele, a million miles, wow, you go girl! and MISTI, 9 miles in one day, wow! BTW- one of the reason that I ordered the pedometer is that you are supposed to be able to keep it in your pocket instead. Well off to work! |
Wow we are cruising across the country huh?!?
Days that the steps or miles were logged: 4/5 Steps/miles for that time: 4 miles Total number of steps/miles, to date in the challenge: 9 miles It has rained here non-stop for the last 2 days. Misti, I am with you, I love the rain, but I hate the wind which is blowing like crazy today. Blyn- He was born/lived in Watertown and Hoven. He also lived in Aberdeen. He has family still in all those towns and also in Custer. We go to Custer every year for a family reunion and he goes back every year to Hoven to go pheasant hunting. Dee- When it is cold our labs like to sleep on the bed. Only problem is one is 75 lbs. and the other is 110 lbs. and we only have a queen size bed. DH usually gets up before I do and as soon as he is out, they both are in. 9 months old is such a fun age for them to be at!! |
Sorry, Chris, I wish I could say a MILLION MILES, but it's a MILLION STEPS! I feel like I'm improving but not THAT much (lol)!!
I'm going to the middle school tonight, if the weather doesn't cancel my son's soccer practice. We've got some SERIOUS thunderstorms here today and more on the way later, so who knows.....If I don't do the elliptical, I'll go home and do a WATP or the treadmill. Either way, I'm working out!!! Happy Thursday! Michele  |
Date: 4/6
Miles: 3.1 Total so far: 28.3 I went back up to the intervals I tried the other day (2.4-3.6 mph and 2-7% incline) but only used the weights for 1 mile of the workout. It certainly was a more pleasant experience. I can hardly believe we are already out of NY. WOW! Keep moving everyone.. enjoy the journey. .but keep moving.. :carrot: |
Well, I didn't get much walking in today, but I did manage to get outside for a little bit. The rain stopped early in the morning so it was nice out expect for being cloudy. The weather here is really off and on. Now I remember why I didn't mind living in Vermont. They had lots of snow and it could get really cold, but they didn't have thunderstorms or tornados like Iowa. Alas, I am glad to be back.
And yes Misti, you guys are much more entertaining then SpongeBob. Days that the steps or miles were logged: 4/6 Steps/miles for that time: 1.5 miles Total number of steps/miles, to date in the challenge: 26.5 miles |
Hello everyone!
First... Chris, yes I volunteer to keep track of the miles while you are away! I think I will start keeping a backup copy just for fun and that way during the times you can't be here I will have the info. Okay??? And the pedometer might be fine in a pocket but the pants I wear to work don't have deep pockets; also I like to be able to look at it just by detaching it and holding it up without undoing the backup clip and I don't think I could do that in my pocket. It sure is a nice ped though!!! Michele... LOL a million miles indeed! Wow glad we are on your team; we will be all over the world soon! :) Debbie, glad to see another rain lover! :) Most of the time we don't have a lot of wind here, and hardly ever lightning and stuff, so it is a lot safer to be out in it than in most places. Dee, yes yes yes on the website! That would be wonderful. 3FC would probably let us link to that too I would think/hope!! ;) Jayde, good job on the inclines... oh I am horrid at those LOL -- OTOH I walk up our Seattle hills!! Annie, glad we are more entertaining than ole Spongebob LOL. Thanks, I think. :) All the rest of the team (wow, need to put together a name list again; we are growing LOL). Keep up the good work. You are all a wonderful team!! Oh I forgot LOL Date: 4/7 Steps/miles: 12,000 steps/6 miles Total so far: 63.15  |
Misti! 12,000 steps!!!! Two days in a row you seem to be so energetic.
You must be in a big hurry to get home! :D |
Hi Jayde
I am so thrilled to have my energy back after several years of being a slug! PTL I got an "all clear" on my thyroid levels so no more tests for a year, yay! And the way I do it is that I walk on both my breaks and most all of my lunch hour at work! And LOL since I got the Omron ped and it gives aerobic steps I am trying to get all of them I can so am really moving my butt LOL. |
WAY TO GO, MISTI!!! Keep up that pace--your body will thank you for it!
Date: 4/6 Miles: 5.55 TOTAL: 79.4 I've been over 10000 steps all but 1 day this month! I'm in a challenge on another forum that is pushing us to do 11905 daily in order to reach a HALF MILLION personal steps in 6 weeks. This is the end of week 3 and I'm a bit behind for the 3 weeks, but I'm AHEAD for this week! I'm promising myself to make up the 6000 steps I'm behind overall SOON! It's silly, but these little challenges have helped me stay motivated! Monday will be 100 days in a row of cardio--all due to another challenge I joined. Now, there's almost NOTHING that would keep me from exercising! Did I really say that?!?! Have a great Friday!! Michele  |
Good Morning Everyone!
Well, after taking the day off yesterday, it feels much better to have walked this morning. And I will be walking home from work this evening, too. So I will get my four miles in today. I think I'm going to stop taking any days off unless my heel makes me, cuz I always feel worse after I do. I'll work on the website this weekend and see what I can get going. Right now I'm off to eat some breakfast and clean some house. We are having a yard sale this weekend, and I've got to sort about a million boxes of books to see what can go. Have a great day all!
Misti- wow... you're so energetic! Great job! Michele - I know what you mean about challenges, they really make me stay motivated. I've been slacking a bit lately, so I may have to join another specific one for exercising soon. Right now I'm just trying to walk as much as I can and lose 10lbs by the 29th. Dee |
