Hi all..

I have been out of the loop for a while now. The 2nd week of March I was gone on a long weekend to TN and the last weekend in March I went on a weekend cruise to the Bahamas. Can you say no dieting!?!

However, I am back on track now. I went to Curves on my lunch hour today and I am down another pound, which is a miracle considering what I have eaten.

Curves is great and I actually was one of the clubs top losers for the month with a loss of 5 lbs and 6 inches. That is a great motivator seeing your name on the wall. It makes you know that the work is worth it.

Everyone is doing great! I am so proud!:D

I finished my first month at Curves.... Drumroll please!!!

I lost over a FOOT (thankfully not vertically, as that would put me in the oomplaloopah category ) :dz:

14.25 inches gone! and 3 pounds of FAT :sumo: of the 8 pounds I'm down..

They were surprised that I really havent noticed a big difference... dont get me wrong, I can slip on my jeans right outta the dryer...but they thought fer sure I'd lost a pant size

Hi everyone!

I'm brand new to this board and this is my first post. I joined curves almost a month ago and I LOVE IT! I've been going 5 times a week and its fast becoming an addicition! I go before work and I have so much energy the rest of the day. And I am amazed at how well I am sleeping and how rested I feel when I wake up.

I've been reading alot of articles on Curves and some of them are not so positive. I am so happy to have found a place with the same enthusiasm for Curves as I have!

I'm really enjoying reading all of the postings and hope to become a regular poster myself.

Happy Curving Everyone! :)

Don't worry about everyone else! Do what feels right to you! And Curves feels right for me. I know Curves is something I can do for the rest of my life and not feel like I have to.

Curves is a place I like going to!

Hope everyone has a great new week!

Hi ladies!

I just joined this forum and recently joined Curves as well (three weeks ago). I'm really loving Curves, I go the recommended 3x week with a recovery day in between, and I am also doing cardio every day - outside walking or WATP walk and Jog DVD on Curves days, and kickboxing or TaeBo on non-Curves days.

My first w&m is in a weeks time, I'm not sure if I have lost any weight, but I have definitely lost inches as my clothes are getting nice and loose, and my hubby commented last night that my butt had shrunk:) Its great to see everyone doing so well - I hope to be able to share my success in a weeks time:)

I had joined Curves a few years ago because it was near my job and I thought I could go on my lunch hour. Hehehe, I thought the place had a shower so I could return to work smelling nice. No shower so I didn't end up going very often, just a few times after work when I was already pooped.

So this time I joined one near my house and I am able to be consistent about going, after a few false starts. It is the only type of gym I can stand. I do not like to exercise at all, being a book worm and slug at heart. But I can tolerate Curves very well and now go around the circuit 3x a session. I do get a little bored sometimes. One pet peeve I have is people who want to converse with me when I'm trying to get the most out of the machines. I don't wanna talk too much when I'm there as it is distracting.

New Curvin' Chick!!

Hi everyone!
I just joined Curves on Saturday and I've been every day (except Sun.) since! I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere there and it's like exercise for ADD people. You don't have to sit still!! I told my DH that it was like musical chairs only with sweating! :)
I'm just recovering from a hyster. and am almost 7 weeks post-op, so I'm going more days, and with less intensity until I build up my energy level. I figure it's better to go each day at about 50% and build up than to worry about overdoing it and hurting myself.

I have just been sitting around since my surgery and have managed to gain 25 pounds in 6 weeks! :o Is that a record? Yucko! I am type 2 diabetic and really need exercise and weight loss to get my bg under control! I'm doing Sugar Busters again, which I lost 45 pounds on in 2002, and then gained it all back plus 20 pounds when I decided I was skinny enough and could go back to eating junk food... WRONG!
So now with eating right, and CURVES, I hope to trim and tone the beautiful CURVES I have :)
